I was running to catch a train when one of my teachers saw me. He thought I was fast, time me, and later gave me my first instructions in sprinting. I happened to be at the right place at the right time.

Fast Train
Written by: myles goodwyn
I read the colors this mornin
I read the colors today
About a man who left from nowhere to be someone
And every day he has to pay in every way
I met a man from new york city
He spoke of things Ive yet to find
A good man driven from his homeland
Tryin to find some piece of mind
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train

Teacher’s Day,2011 in India
Remember all your teachers who taught you
in school and college, right from childhood days;
Revere your teachers in all things you do;
Pray God should keep them happy most, always!
They put their heart and soul to train us up;
They helped us drink ken with ease from life’s cup!
Remind yourself the toil that teachers gave;
If not for them, would we now well behave?
Recapitulate good things that teachers did;
Recollect moments ashamed, when you hid;
Realize the role each one of them well played;
Recognize their mettle, prowess, love, aid!
Recount their help they offered you in need;
Reflect on advice good, they tried to seed;
Refill your heart and mind with joy, O man!
Repay their kindness to them if you can.
What noble sacrifices teachers made!
Efforts to train us, students, will not fade;
Despite their hard-work, life gave them raw deal;
Our teachers made us wholesome and thus feel!
Dedicated to all my beloved teachers
who made me what I am, today!

The End Is Near.
I’ve fallen
I’m falling fast
Catch me, catch me, oh god some one catch me
In this head of mine I’m running a race
I’m running, I’m running
But no ones watching
What’s wrong what’s wrong
With the words I’m saying
Things go so fast so gas
From one thing to another
Everything is blurred
Life is to short
We gota make this last, make it last
There’s no time for later or next time
Gota leave, get out, get gone
The world not stopping for us
So why should we stop for the world
What’s wrong what’s wrong
With the words I’m saying
Things go so fast so gas
From one thing to another
Everything is blurred

Come Running
By the side of the tracks where the train goes by
The wind and the rain will catch you, you will sigh
Deep in your heart
Then youll come a-running to me
Youll come a-running to me
Well you watch the train go round the bend
Play in dust and dream that it will never end
Deep in your heart
Youll come a-running to me
Youll come a-running to me
Said, hey, come a-running to me
Oh, come a-running to me
Hey, yeah, come a-running to me
Said, hey, come a-running to me
Oh, come a-running to me
Hey, yeah, come a-running to me
With your hound dog by your side
And your arms stretched out open wide
I wanna keep you satisfied in the morning sun
By my side, come on, come on run
And you kick the sand up with your heels
You think to yourself how good it feels
Put away all your walking shoes
Then you come running to me
Now you come running to me
I said, hey, come a-running to me
Oh, come a-running to me
Hey, yeah, come a-running to me
You gotta rainbow if you run to me

Teacher’s Day in India,2010
Teachers teach students to learn;
Teachers show them how to earn;
Teachers guide students to read;
Teachers help them if they need.
Teachers share with pupils, ken;
Teachers show them how to pen;
Teachers train them in most things;
Teachers make them good earthlings!
Teachers mould their character;
Teachers act facilitator;
Teachers are a boon on earth;
Teachers bring students, mirth!
Teachers care for children-wards;
Teachers don’t expect rewards;
Teachers slog throughout life-span;
Teachers make them man / woman.
Teachers are a humble lot;
Teachers make learning, an art;
Teachers perform well their part;
Teachers love students in heart!
Teachers are next to parents;
Teachers are a nation’s wealth;
Teachers make a student great;
Teachers are a must for all.
Revere teachers on this Day;
Thank them truly in some way;
Emulate them, if you may;
‘Give them good health, God’, you pray!
“Happy Teachers’ Day! ”
Most lovingly dedicated to all my teachers,
Living and dead, who made me,
‘What I am, today! ’

Fast Train
Transcribed from a live performance on february 26, 2000 at the barbican in york, england. the first performance of this new song.
When you been on a fast train
And its goin off the rails
And you cant come back together again
You just start breakin down
In the pourin rain
Cause you been on a fast train
When your love has gone away
Dont it make you feel so sad
And you know Im returnin
Way into the land
And you start breakin down
And go into the pain
Cause you been on the fast train
You had to go on the lam
Cross into no mans land
Aint nobody here on your wavelength
And nobody gonna give you a helpin hand
You just start breakin down
And just go into the sun
When you hear that fast train
And you keep movin along
To the sound of the wheels
Deep inside your heart you really know
You know just how it feels
And you start breakin down
And the deserts reign on the fast train
Youre way over the line
This time youre out of your mind
This time youre out of your depth
And to the window you crack open
Oh but theres nowhere to go
Theres only sleet and theres snow
Keep on movin on a fast train
You hear theyre goin over the line
Oh standin on the edge of the hill
Oh nobody on their wavelength
Nobody to give you a helping hand
And you start breakin down
When you hear the sound
Keep on movin on a fast train
Im goin nowhere on a fast train
Goin nowhere
Goin nowhere on a fast train
Goin nowhere on a fast train
Fast train
Going nowhere
Goin nowhere on a fast train
To the wasteland
To the wasteland
On a fast train
On a fast train
On a fast train
Im goin nowhere
Im goin nowhere on a fast train
Goin nowhere
On a fast train

Falling into oblivion
We were only eighteen
and just matriculated
when the call up papers came
and we went to the army
by troop train.
The die was cast
and our lives
changed all to fast
from that first military train ride.
We were paid very little
and trained at basic camp
and trained again
and sent to war.
Some of us died
and some survived
and was changed
by what happened there,
but today
that time and place
and all of that
are falling into oblivion
as if the sacrifices made
was all in vain.

Last Train To Trancentral
All aboard, all aboard, a-woah-ho
All aboard, all aboard, a-woah-ho
Others need the vibes
Last train of the fast train, destination general
Thoughts that seem to draw me
Heading for trancentral
Still Im seeking something
And some things I am seeking
In the carriage on the fast train
Of the last train to trancenteal
Weve been waiting for years
And now its here
Last train to trancentral
Take the last train
From sample city, on the downtown line
Last train to trancentral
Last train
Others need the vibes
A brand new day is dawning
A light that will annoint thee
A sign from the subconcious
An angel sent to guide me
The searching will be over
The call will now be gentle
In the carriage on the fast train
Of the last train to trancentral
The klf will take you there
Last train to trancentral (its the last train)
The liberation loophole will make it clear...
On last train to trancentral (last train)
This is what klf is about
Also known as the justified ancients of mu mu
Furthermore known as the jams
One time!
Take the last train
Last train
All aboard, all aboard, a-woah-ho
All aboard, all aboard, a-woah-ho

Whoooo
Others need the vibes
Whoooo
Others need the vibes
Last train or the fast train,
My destinations general
The thoughts that seem to draw me
Headin downtown for trancentral
Still Im seeking something
And theres something that Im seeking
In a carriage on the fast train
Of the last train to trancentral
The klf will take you there
Last train to trancentral (take the last train)
The liberation loophole will make it clear
On last train to trancentral (last train)
(take the last train) [[[continuous chant over following text]]]
(all aboard, all aboard, a-woah-ho) [[[continuous chant over following text]]]
Yeah, theres only one place Im living, man...
Im going into trancentral where I can,
You understand, liberate and free the psyche.
You know, banish my mind and my body
cause this way I dont know whether Im in the future or the present...
Is this the beginning or the ending?
Although I know that things are incidental
The landscape may have to be accidental
Im still in a carriage
On the fast train,of the last train, to trancentral
Over an out

Next Train
Well I finally found tomorrow
'Cause I just now found today
But I'm left with all the sorrow
Lingering from yesterday
So I'm leaving this behind on the next train
To what place, well I don't know
When I leave I may not ride on the best train
But it's time for me to let go
Well I'd love for you to be there
On the day I say goodbye
But I've lost too much to your stare
To even waste a sigh
So I'm leaving this behind on the next train
To what place, well I don't know
When I leave I may not ride on the best train
But it's time for me to let go
Yes it's time for me to let go
You're the drug that's in my veins
You lift me up and leave me pain
I'm broken, beaten, barely sane
And I'm leaving on the next train
I gladly stayed to wade it through
And find out what I've meant to you
Now it's clear to me this time
So I'm leaving this behind
So I'm leaving this behind on the next train
To what place, well I don't know
When I leave I may not ride on the best train
But it's time for me to let go
So I'm leaving this behind on the next train
To what place, well I don't know
When I leave I may not ride on the best train
But it's time for me to let go
Yes it's time for me to let go

Falling Behind
Running, running to catch up,
running as hard as i can
But I’m never fast enough,
Always left behind,
Slowly dying inside,
I’ve fallen so hard,
I don’t know if I’ll ever get up
this could be the last time

I’m just running
So cool so provoking wind blowing up my face
As if trying to wake me up
But I’m just running along with the train
Blinking and glaring outside not to find anyone
Just glaring
Different stations are passing
Different sellers selling their merchandise
Caring nothing; just glaring
But still trying to find someone
No not but yes, maybe
In return getting nothing but a pinch of delight
Accumulating it just running
So fast so slow sometimes
Breathtaking landscapes, rivers, mountains
Just wonderful
Falling down sun giving me nothing
But a note of unknown happiness
Just gulping it running
Then came the stars twinkling
Maybe trying to show a drama
Enjoying it, each and every bit of it
I’m just running
Just running along with the train

The Train Now Departing
The train now departing
My luggage plays tricks
It was lighter, it was heavier
"Stay" I heard you say
I bent down to tie my laces
There were no other footsteps
In this empty station
Always running out place,
Always running out of time
"Not this time."
The train now departing.

Ticket To Heaven
Im walking a wire, it feel likes a thousand ways I could fall
To want is to buy, but to live is to die and you cant take it all
And everything is said and done I wont have one thing left
What happened to everything that I ever known
All he gave me was this ticket to heaven, that ticket to heaven, said to lie in the bed that
You make
Now Im restless and Im running from everything, Im running from everything, Im afraid its
A little too late
Its a voices lie, innocents die
And all your dreams, and all your money they dont mean a thing
When everything is said and done, you wont have one thing left
What happened to everything that I ever known
All he gave me was this ticket to heaven, that ticket to heaven, said to lie in the bed that
You make
Now Im restless and Im running from everything, Im running from everything, Im afraid its
A little too late
Its a little too late
All he gave me was this ticket to heaven, that ticket to heaven,
Said to lie in the bed that you make
Now Im restless and Im running from everything, Im running from everything, Im afraid its
A little too late
All he gave me was this ticket to heaven, that ticket to heaven, said to lie in the bed that

Its a little too late

Ancient Train
I'm a little boy
In the world today
Trying to live his life
In the grown up way
Sometimes I get so scared
That I can hardly move
But I'm a little boy
With a lot to prove
Somedays go by so fast
Sometimes I wonder
How long will this young boy last
Now I'm an ancient train
Going down the track
I always make my way
I'm never turning back
Because my wheels are old
Sometimes it rides real slow
But I'm an ancient train
With a place to go
And I used to ride so fast
Sometimes I wonder
How long will this old train last
Sometimes this song goes fast
Sometimes I wonder
How long will this old song last

Standstill
Its three in the morning
And I stayed up all night
Drowning in my words
Writing about you
Time seems to standstill
Since the day you left me
A revolving door
Slamming this time so slowly
Youre running out
Youre running fast now
We were just kids back then
Two years of my life
Traded for an ending like this
Like a love movie without a goodbye kiss
Why was it me
With all sincerity
Which car drove us to
Drove us to this road
This road of broken promises
First it was broken glass
That fell down from the sky so fast
It hit us then
She promised but it happened again

A Fan
Before the sun has set
I'll be a little old man
Before our lips had met
I would have had a plan
But love strolled by so fast
Our present
Is now my past
Catch it if you can
You see, with time, I'm just not a fan.
With you every day was warm
And i flew, but couldn't land
Heat of passion I thought was the norm
But I was burnt
When I thought I had tanned
And fate blew her away so fast
Now I'm at sea
And tied to the mast
That thief stole our joy and ran
You see, with time, I'm just not a fan.

SONNET: To “PS-TOT” Teachers of NTTC, JIPMER
You gave me the baton and said, ” now RUN! ”
You showed me the road on which this is done;
But I know to just walk in rain or sun;
The terrain that I see, appears not fun!
From now on, I shouldn’t walk but learn to run;
There are some laps to go, ‘fore th’ race is won;
Let me be ready for soon goes the ‘GUN! ’
My inhibitions I must, try to shun.
Run I must bravely then, to finish –line;
I must too do it, in my given time;
Nothing to worry for things will be fine;
By running, not walking, I make life sublime.
Thank you dear Teachers, for you had been great!
My life for new Teachers, I now dedicate.

The Old Log Train
Hank williams sr.
(d) if you will listen a (g) song I will (d) sing
About my daddy who ran a log (a) train
Way (d) down in the southland in (g) old ala- (d) bam
We lived in a place that they (a) call chatmantown.
And late in the evening when the sun was low
Way off in the distance you could hear the train blow
The boys would come runnin and mamma would sing,
Get the supper on the table here comes the log train.
Every morning at the break of day
Hed grab his lunch bucket and be on his way
In winter or summer, sunshine or rain
Every mornin hed run that old log train.
A sweatin and swearin all day long
Shoutin git-up there oxen, keep movin along,
Load er up boys cause it looks like rain,
Ive got get rollin this old log train.
This story happened a long time ago
The log train is silent, God called daddy to go
But when I get to heaven to always remain
Ill listen for the whistle of the old log train.
