Tony, Stacy and Jay really looked at life completely different and that played into everything that they did, whether it was skating or with their friendships. And for the three of us, we had such a close relationship off screen, that it was so easy to have that on screen.

Stacy had this more fluid style. You meet him, he's just such a nice guy. Tony's an awesome guy too, but back then, he was a real aggressive kid and they were in such a different place. Stacy was so sensitive and at the same time so competitive when it came to his skating.

Tony and I had a good on and off screen relationship, we are two very different people, but we did share a sense of humor, we now live in different parts of the world but when we find ourselves in the same place it is more or less as if there had been no years in between.

0038 Underthings
See this table top. Smooth, waxed
to a point, a soup stain which perhaps
a finger nail will lift. Beneath the surface,
atoms, molecules, tension and release,
law and freedom play out a drama
which the teacup does not know or tell.
And so, much else. All. And so the mind.
As if, webcamming the family at play,
the screen jumpcuts, plays on the screen
your inner life for all to see; the family freeze, cold,
open-mouthed…
Two years ago, I eased myself into a chair,
anticipating pleasant conversation – but instead
the camera of the mind presented, in full colour,
a glowing red-hot sphere, like
a sunset on a dusty day. Or Mars, more like,
in all its fierce, fearsome anger – anger
stayed on that screen for six whole weeks
while body, mind and soul perhaps
played turmoil with its outcome quite unknown.
Just now, I lift my gaze from the crumbs on plate;
the camera points at what it should now screen,
the window; but the mind sees something else,
as clear as mind but rarely seen in mind.
It's saying something new about myself.
Watch the screen; but watch the camera too.

Satcy's Mom
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy, can I come over,
After school? (After School)
We can hang around,
By the pool. (Hang By The Pool)
Did your mom get back
From her business trip? (Business trip)
Is she there,
Or is she tryin' to give me the slip? (Give me the slip)
And I'm not the little boy, that I used to be!
I'm all grown up, and now baby can't you see?
Stacy's Mom has got it goin' on!
She's all that I want,
And I've waited for so long!
Stacy, can't you see?
You're just not the girl for me.
I know it might be wrong,
But I'm in love with Stacy's mom.
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy, do you remember
When I mowed your lawn? (Mowed your lawn)
Your mom came out,
With just a towel on. (Towel on)
I could tell she liked me
By the way she stared. (way she stared)
And the way she said,
"You missed a spot over there." (Spot over there)
And I know that you think it's just a fantasy,
But since your dad walked out,
Your mom could use a guy like me!
Stacy's Mom has got it goin' on!
She's all that I want,
And I've waited for so long!
Stacy, can't you see?
You're just not the girl for me.
I know it might be wrong,
But I'm in love with Stacy's mom.
Stacy's mom, ooh! (I'm in love with)
Stacy's mom, ooh! (I'm in love with)
Stacy, can't you see,
You're just not the girl for me.
I know it might be wrong,
But I'm in love with Stacy's mom.
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
Stacy's mom has got it goin' on...
(until fade out)

Curtain
Blank screen of doom find me wonderful words,
nothing fancy just words that have a resonance in
my mind and gladden my heart.
I remember a boy of fourteen, every morning at six
he milked, five cows, by hand, leaning his heads on
the cow´s womb he dreamt of Africa
Africa, but I met my wife she is from Congo, so you
may say I know Africa intimately but
that was not what the boy was dreaming of.
O, blank screen do not let me fall into banalities,
it is just I like to remember as much as I can
before the screen the curtain draws the screen.

Movie Memories
Holding hands at the movies
waiting for the lights to dim.
Anticipating the characters on the screen
but thinking of only him.
The one beside you, not on the screen.
His arm now on your shoulder.
You feel the length of his arm.
He becomes a little bit bolder.
You see the characters on the screen.
All are playing their part.
You forget the name of the movie
but not what's happening to your heart.
The lights come on all too soon
but not before he kisses you.
Great to be a teen-ager.
Sorry, the movie is through.

Lookin For A New Love Story
(donny lowery, dave loggins)
All my life Ive looked at love as a fairy tale
A woman a man never never land and a storybook ending
Leading roles and my heros upon the silver screen
I played em all but always came up empty
But one of these days Ill be in a movie with em
Cause I believe that fantasy
Is one step from reality
For those of us who dream of love
And I believe cause I want to
Theres some one man for someone who believes in love
To not give up
Even though youve heard so many say
Thats the way the story goes
Chorus:
Im lookin for a new love story
Im lookin for a yellow brick road
Thatll carry me to his door
Im lookin for a new love story
Oh one thats never been told before
And I have searched the oceans of many a mans eyes
But I have yet to feel like more than some deserted island
I know a relationship will come for me in time
And I cant wait to see his face on my horizon
Cause one of these days hell sail into my life
Repeat verse 2
Repeat chorus

Theater is liberating because it only works if it's truthful. That's what it requires. That's not true of film: the camera does lie. You can be moved by a performance on set, but when you see it on screen, it does nothing. Yet there will be someone you simply didn't notice on set that on screen: bam!

No An Idle Moment
Not an Idle Moment
A fly sits on top of the computer screen
washing its face when not watching me,
incredible it takes lift flies and lands on
the tip of my nose, close up it has
enormous eyes, so big I can see myself.
I hit it, but miss now I have nosebleed,
trickles down to my lips, tastes salty,
drips on my green shirt I’m so proud of.
I go to the bathroom, I’m a boxer, who
has won the match in round six, so what’s
a nosebleed? Take shirt off soaks it in
cold water, put a clean one on, it needs to
be ironed, so who cares a dank day when
even windows cry and the old roof leaks?
The dipterous sits on top of the screen
eyeing me contemptuously, pretend I’ve
forgotten something get up, in the kitchen
cupboard I find insecticide, storm in, spray
my room, the fly curls up and dies. Blank
screen I have forgotten what I was going
to write about.

Get Up Away From That Thing
Get up away from that thing
Andmove to the obscure rhythm
Get up away from that thing
Try to get out of their reach
Get up away from that screen
And create a look of your own
Get up away from that screen
Create a life of your own
Untie yourself from that tube
And move in a way they cant fathom
Get up away from that thing
Theres more to the world
Than say show me
