Halfway through the decade, we realized that we had a great team and that we could do great things, and that we could probably have something here that we believed we had a chance to reach greatness.

Sonnet: On Greatness

Greatness is not a thing, much like an art;
Some man turns great if on it he stumbles;
His greatness ceases, if he thinks, he's great;
Great is he truly who tho' great, humbles.

Greatness is not true greatness, self-proclaimed;
Greatness is not what world showers on us;
Greatness is neither got by being claimed.
Greatness is not achieved by making fuss.

Greatness could come if world decides to give;
Greatness will stay if God blesses our work;
Such greatness, God-destined comes while men live;
Greatness can grow even without much luck.

Greatness doesn't come to everyone on earth;
Some men are made great; some are great by birth.

How I Feel About You Now

I just realized
How I feel about you now
I love you and want to be with you forever
Please baby give me a second chance
I wish I can take back that day
I was dumb for letting you down
I'm so sorry
I can't go another day without you
I can't take it anymore with us not being together

I just realized
How I feel about you now
I love you and need you here by myside
Please don't walk away and move on
I was wrong about you
Great things could happen
Nobody gets me like you do
I feel so stupid
There is not going be another great guy like you
There is a mountain between us, we can over come our fear and be together

I just realized
How I feel about you now
I love you, want you and noone else
I bet is take another chance to make it happen
So don't let all good times that won't happen come true
We be happy and
All our wishes and dream will come true
There is no need to move on because
You're the one
You're everything that I ever want

I just realized
How I feel about you now
I love you and want you here with me
When I'm sad
You're the one
Who can make me laugh and smile again
At end I feel much better all because of you
Baby you are only one who understand me
There is nothing you can do to make me not love you anymore
I'm always going be right by your side to the end

0162 Greatness

How great is greatness? asks my questing soul:
scenting behind that quest, eternity;
that dark which, studied, lights the dazzling whole
and brings to finite thought, infinity;

as when great singers sing, all hearts can sing;
great dancers give us sense that all can dance;
great actors speak for all of us; we think
to know all painted greatness at one glance:

we know already, greatness' unfenced whole,
we know that boundless place, the human heart;
Creation is no secret to our soul;
all being sings its song in every part.

How glorious those sages who can see
in everything that lives, totality!

You've got to be extremely careful, because you could be with a great team, and you could be the product of a great team. There are some players that stand out despite the teams that they play on, and there are some players that are good because of the team that they're with.

From Where Shall I Greatness Buy?

Mom tells me to finish my homework quickly,
When I ask why? , she tells me
“You should become great as great as your dad”.
When I ask, where is my dad Mom?
She tells me, “He is now god’s guest.”
Again when I ask Mom,
“Can I not become great by being the god’s guest”?
She slaps me gently and tells me,
“Now just shut up and get your homework done”.
Little later when I ask she says,
“Your Dad fought like a tiger,
risking his life, he never bothered.
His gun has brought him greatness
and the honour of being the god’s guest.
Again when I ask,
“Do people become great when they fight”?
If so, I will beat in the school,
My friend Philip, with my might.”
Now, Mom calls me stupid and gives me a push.
Crying I go to sleep in her lap,
Now she says, “Tomorrow I will
give you pocket money for ice-cream”.
Wiping my eyes when I ask,
Mom! ”Can I by saving pocket money,
try greatness buy”?
Tell Mom, “From where shall I greatness buy”?
She tells, “Oh god help me”
and begins to cry.

Dreams, What Greatness Is Made Of!

A thought
A dream
A glimmer of light that takes Flight
In the midde of the Night
These are the things of Greatness
For time is of of the essence
There can be no lateness
To reach the pinnacle
The time for action
is now
Do Not Bow
Take your dream into action
For it is with a thought
A Dream
that great things are built on! !
Freedom: Built on A Dream
We have America
Electricity: Built on A Dream
We have Heat
Dreams What Greatness is made of
Thoughts into action what Greatness is made of!

The Great Are at Par

A great scholar; a great sculptor
A great scientist; a great painter.
They are equal in their greatness.
Give them equal reverences.

Robert E. Lee

The man was loved, the man was idolized,
The man had every just and noble gift.
He took great burdens and he bore them well,
Believed in God but did not preach too much,
Believed and followed duty first and last
With marvellous consistency and force,
Was a great victor, in defeat as great,
No more, no less, always himself in both,
Could make men die for him but saved his men
Whenever he could save them was most kind
But was not disobeyed was a good father,
A loving husband, a considerate friend.

Reaching Out

Reaching out is part of our lives.
We reach out for love and friendship.
We reach out for a great many things
and some of those things we reach out for
fall within our grasp.
While other things we reach out for are unattainable,
but we reach out for them
just the same again and again.
It is up to us to choose which is which.
Love and friendship
are always within our grasp
if we reach out for them long enough.
It is some of the other things
we reach out forever for,
which we can never attain.
Riches and that peace of mind
that seem to elude our grasp,
still we reach out for them
time and time again.

I Am Not A Great Poet

I AM NOT A GREAT POET

I am not a great Poet-
I am not a great Writer-
I am not a great Thinker-

I took my father’s dream
of Greatness-

But I did not realize it.

Robert Frost

Robert Frost,

Your wisdom is great,
And you know all there is to know,
And we appreciate what you teach us.

To me, you are the grandfather I never had,
For you are great,
And you give great advice,
And you are wise,
And you seek the greatness in everyone.
You are a mentor to me and many others,
And your wisdom knows no bounds.
We cannot thank you enough
For the insight you have provided.

Thank you for everything you have done
And all the great poems you have left behind.

Halfway To Heaven

Another day has come cant face it on my own
I almost let you walk away and I guess I should have known
Ill give it to you straight cause some things just cant wait
I ve got to make it up to you and Ill pray its not too late
cause when you look at me with those sad blue eyes
It stops me cold and I realize youre all I need tonight
Were halfway to heaven lyin beside you on a night so still
Were halway to heaven I ask you if youll stay and baby say you will
So whats a man to do to get it through to you
Another lost and lonely night would break this heart in two
So lets take a chance and itll be allright
Just put your trust in me toniht girl were almost there
Were halfway to heaven theres something magic bout the way you kiss
Were halfway to heaven runnin with you baby on a a night like this
Were halfway to heaven I never dreamed that I could get this high
Were halfway to heaven girl I couldnt leave you even if I tried
You got me captured in a crazy spin
You got me so I just cant tell the shape Im in
Were halfway to heaven theres something magic bout the way you kiss
Were halfway to heaven runnin with you baby on a a night like this
Were halfway to heaven I never dreamed that I could get this high
Were halfway to heaven girl I couldnt leave you even if I tried

No Chance

It must be nice to be steady, it must be nice to be firm
It must be nice never to move off the mark
It must be nice to be dependable and never let anyone down
It must be great to be all the things you're not
It must be great to be all the things that I'm not
I see you in the hospital your humor is intact
I'm embarrassed by the strength I seem to lack
If I was in your shoes
so strange that I'm not
I'd fold up in a minute and a half
and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
It must be nice to be normal it must be nice to be cold
It must be nice not to have to go oh up or down
But me I'm all emotional no matter how I try
you're gone and I'm still here alive
and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
No - I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
There are things we say we wish we knew and in fact we never do
But I'd wish I'd known that you were going to die
Then I wouldn't feel so stupid, such a fool that I didn't call
And I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
No there's no logic to this - who's picked to stay or go
If you think too hard it only makes you mad
But your optimism made me think you really had it beat
So I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
I didn't get a chance to say goodbye

Journey through the furnace.

Many were called
But few were chosen
Into the call of academic glory
The journey many started
Ended with but a few.

7 scores and a decade*
Started the journey towards greatness
On the same path and terrace.
Some took another route
Some fell out fortuitously
4 scores and a half decade*
Got to the end of the road.

We who ended are no better
Than we who started the journey
In this great academia
With moral prison yards
And religious bigotry.

Those who have fallen out
Or, rather
Taken another route
Shall forever remain in our heart
As we end this journey
And close this phase of our life
Taking a bold step
Into the universal city
Of the world beyond…
