I have a hard time with morals. All I know is what feels right, what's more important to me is being honest about who you are. Morals I get a little hung up on.

Umina Bowling Club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than bowling right up to the friendly bowling club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than dropping in for just a drink or some good grub.
Behind the bar you’ll find our Suzy, Linda and Michelle
When you come in you’ll get a welcome and a smile as well
And if the mood should ever take you to the pokie room
There’s all the games that might just make your fortune very soon.
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than bowling right up to the friendly bowling club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than dropping in for just a drink or some good grub
On Thursday nights the club is packed when bingo starts at four
And Friday concerts – there’s no extra charges at the door
Our raffles too, they need an extra special mention
Its your happiness that’s our intention.
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than bowling right up to the friendly bowling club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than dropping in for just a drink or some good grub.
Now, when leaving, should you think you’re over the limit
We’ve got a bus that takes you home – no paying for a ticket
So if you’re young or if you’re old or somewhere in between
Just come along, join up with us and find out what we mean.
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than bowling right up to the friendly bowling club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than dropping in for just a drink or some good grub.

The balance of private good and general welfare is at the bottom of civilized morals; but the morals of the Heroic Age are founded on individuality, and on nothing else.

The Committee On Public Morals
The Senate met in Sacramento city;
On public morals it had no committee
Though greatly these abounded. Soon the quiet
Was broken by the Senators in riot.
Now, at the end of their contagious quarrels,
There's a committee but no public morals.

The Angel
Now is an angel there?
Now is an angel there?
Now is an angel there?
One left out
When they passed heaven about
What about me
Sitting here in my purgatory
So left out
Hes dead
Im alive
Hes spared
Always an angel who cares
Always an angel there
One like me
We try so hard
Five like you
Someone dead again
Wheres your angel now?
Wheres your angel now?
Wheres your morals now?
Wheres your morals?
Always an angel there
Wheres your angel now?
Always an angel who cares
Always an angel there
Wheres your morals?
Theres always an angel who cares
Theres always an angel there
No more people staring
No more fatal dares
Like a baby grabbing at
Something that isnt there
But it is
But it is
Always an angel there
Always an angel who cares
Always an angel there
Always an angel who cares

Early Works - Take Heed
Take heed ole wayfaring stranger
take heed to disaster cometh,
the stars are blind to morals,
as morals are blind to life.
Take heed ole saintly fool
take heed in your wooden ship,
the sea has crushed many a man
as many a man has crushed life.
Take heed, take heed
hear what I say
there goes no tomorrow
only borrowed today.

The Minority
I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the morals of majority
'cuz I wanna be the minority
I pledge allegiance to the underworld
One nation under dark
the freaks are all alone
A face in the crowd
A song against the mold
without a doubt singled out
the only way I do
'cuz I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the morals of majority
'cuz I wanna be the minority
Step out on the light
Like a sheep runs from the herd
Marching out of time
to my own beat now
the only way to go
One light

Briefs
Those darn Greeks were right-
Enjoy everything but enjoy
in moderation.
For Burns' birthday Duncan
Of Edinborough read.
Why have the imitation
when you can have the masterpiece?
The Past-morals and ideals
murky and opinioned
at worst, but for architecture
undeniably interesting.
Fluent in English, having impulses
and not knowing what else to do
Jon dubbed himself a poet-
gifting the world
with countless examples of his art.
Late for her tryst with Mars
Venus twinkles in-
Nightime otherwise calm and chill.
From fifty centuries of soiled morals
(read agricultural)
Edna struggles to be free
and has almost made it.

Rubber Morals
Quickly checking what company hes in
Absorbing values like a chameleon
His rhythm and his method have got out of line
When you sit on a fence you get a sore behind
Must not upset the apple cart
Hell choose your views today
Having some kinda conflict
Seems to get right in his way
Chorus
Whoa...rubber morals
Whoa...rubber morals
Whoa...rubber morals, plasticine ideals
See how this one feels
The men in st. peters will not agree to a slipping
On his conscience like he slips on a johnnie
Hes a part time socialist and a part time tycoon
Flags of convenience fly in his cocoon
Must not upset the apple cart
Preserve the status quo
His heart felt convictions
Left a long time ago
A sign over his bed will testify
Is there nothing in his life from which hed live or die
A pale shade of grey lines a vacant head
With our condom-nation you are blessed
Must not upset the apple cart
Hell choose your views today
Having some kinda conflict
Seems to get right in his way

Live With Agreements
Today, the hours will watch
the minutes play tic,
and the seconds play toc.
Today, patience will dance,
with good intention
to a song with end.
Today, morals will sit up straight,
center their reasons
to impress our thinking.
Today, depression will walk in public,
pickpocket innocence,
side step question.
Today, regret will plant reminders,
water adolescent fear,
sprout anger.
Tonight, I will sleep with tic and toc,
let patience rest, and morals talk.
Tonight depression will be generous,
tomorrow, Ill ask for lenience.
Live with agreements.

I do not think myself to be a worm, and a grub, grass of the field fit only to be burned, a clod, a morsel of putrid atoms that should be thrown to the dungheap, ready for the nethermost pit. Nor if I did should I therefore expect to sit with Angels and Archangels.

Soldiers of the Soil
IT'S a high-falutin' title they have handed us;
It's very complimentary and grand;
But a year or so ago they called us 'hicks,' you know--
An' joshed the farmer and his hired hand!
Now it's, 'Save the country, Farmer!
Be a soldier of the soil!
Show your patriotism, pardner,
By your never ending toil.'
So we're croppin' more than ever,
An' we're speedin' up the farm.
Oh, it's great to be a soldier,--
sweatin' sun-burnt soldier,--
A soldier in the furrows--
Away from 'war's alarm!'
While fightin' blight and blister,
We hardly get a chance
To read about our 'comrades'
A-doin' things in France.
To raise the grub to feed 'em
Is some job, believe me--plus!
And I ain't so sure a soldier--
A shootin', scrappin' soldier,
That's livin' close to dyin'--
Ain't got the best of us!
But we'll harrer and we'll harvest,
An' we'll meet this new demand
Like the farmers always meet it--
The farmers--and the land.
An' we hope, when it is over
An' this war has gone to seed,
You will know us soldiers better--
Th' sweatin', reapin' soldiers,
Th' soldiers that have hustled
To raise th' grub you need!
It's a mighty fine title you have given us,
A name that sounds too fine to really stick;
But maybe you'll forget (when you figure out your debt)
To call th' man who works a farm a 'hick.'

Song of the Bowmen of Shu
Here we are, picking the first fern-shoots
And saying: When shall we get back to our country?
Here we are because we have the Ken-nin for our foemen,
We have no comfort because of these Mongols.
We grub the soft fern-shoots,
When anyone says "Return," the others are full of sorrow.
Sorrowful minds, sorrow is strong, we are hungry and thirsty.
Our defence is not yet made sure, no one can let his friend return.
We grub the old fern-stalks.
We say: Will we be let to go back in October?
There is no ease in royal affairs, we have no comfort.
Our sorrow is bitter, but we would not return to our country.
What flower has come into blossom?
Whose chariot? The General's.
Horses, his horses even, are tired. They were strong.
We have no rest, trhee battles a month.
By heavn, his horses are tired.
The generals are on them, the soldiers are by them.
The horses are well trained, the generals have ivory arrows and
quivers ornamented with fish-skin.
The enemy is swift, we must be careful.
When we set out, the willows were drooping with spring,
We come back in the snow,
We go slowly, we are hungry and thirsty,
Our mind is full of sorrow, who will know of our grief?
