There are times in life when, instead of complaining, you do something about your complaints.

Lied II
How many times does a dog bark
in the night, the same two-tone bark:
black. red. black, black, red-unseen,
never tiring or growing hoarse, the
rope tightening about his throat an-
chored in eternity. Black, red, red,
red, black, red, red, black, black, black,
complaining it is cold or alone,
complaining its life's a bust.
How many times does a cab stop
in the light rain of a night
short, before a diaphanous screen door
to which a thick moth clings-
a little tire-shriek capping a faint
complaint of rubber against its condition
over a crunch of gravel, of course, and a slam,
waking the body sleeping within, who
sits up with a start and remembering nakedness
intones, 'Lovely moment, at last you have come? '

If I Should Die Tomorrow And Today My Second Last Day
If i should die tomorrow and today my second last day
I should not be complaining since in life I've done okay
Never had to try to sleep hungry with the hard ground for a bed
And in all my years of living never once wished i were dead,
In a World of haves and have nots many of malnutrition die
And that everyone are equal is a World renowned lie
This World not an Utopia that fact few would deny
And i will not be complaining since few luckier than i
Tis said that poverty is a relative thing with that one must agree
And sad to say that millions live in abject poverty
I have seen a few Countries loved Nature as a boy
And i am not complaining a good life i enjoy
And if i should die tomorrow just leave me to rest in peace
from any cares or worries i will have found release.

Love This Life
Seal my fate
I get your tongue in the mail
No one is wise
Until they see how it lies
Love this life
Dont wait till the next one comes
Pedal my faith
The wheels are still turning round, turn round
And maybe the day will come
When youll never have to feel no pain
After all my complaining
Gonna love this life
Gonna love this life
And so they threw you in jail
Whatever youve done
It was a million to tone
And dont you just love this life
When its holding you down
Pedal my faith
The wheels are still turning round, turn round
So maybe the day will come
When youll never have to feel no pain
After all my complaining
Gonna love this life
Gonna love this life
Theres something that you can do
Even if you think that I hate you
Stop your complaining leave me defenseless
When you love this life
Gotta love this life
Love this life though youll never know why
Gonna love this life
Gonna love

A Free Loader Gloats
A free loader gloats.
And I restrain myself from complaining.
A free loader gloats....
As if life is nothing but a buffet.
And as each experience I face,
I feel a need to earn my keep.
I feel a need to be accountable.
I feel a need to achieve,
A responsibility.
A free loader gloats.
And I restrain myself from complaining.
A free loader gloats....
As if life is nothing but a buffet.
And I sit with this free loader,
Wondering if there is a consciousness.
And not only do I learn that there is...
I witness the blisters on hands.
And enlarged knuckles on fists.
I've learned that this free loader,
No longer fights to resist...
To be who one is!
No matter who critiques,
With titles labelled to give!
A free loader gloats.
And I restrain myself from complaining.
A free loader gloats....
As if life is nothing but a buffet.
And to this free loader...
Life is what it is,
As it is when left to be!

The tabloids are like animals, with their own behavioural patterns. There's no point in complaining about them, any more than complaining that lions might eat you.

I mean, the people who run Guantanamo, the military, pretty much dismiss complaints by the detainees because they say that they're all created as part of a political process to sort of fake complaints and get public support.

All These Complaints And Sadnesses
ALL THESE COMPLAINTS AND SADNESSES
All these complaints and sadnesses
All these ironies and doubts
All these self- mockings and inner musings
What do they give to those
Who long for Love
And Inspiration
Who need to perceive Life in more joyful ways?
All these kvetchings
What do they give?
Beauty Love Light Happiness -
Give them
You fool
Or shut up.

What Matters Most Is Love And Peace
you keep on saying that
what matters most is love and peace
and then we manage to eke out
a living for ourselves
then what matters
is hunger
we listen to the sound
of our complaining bellies
asking for rice
and fish
because there is only water from the river
odored foul
by these dead mudfishes
now my dear
find me a place where i can sleep
where i can chant
my pleadings to our gods
so they may answer
our little complaints
love and peace you keep saying that
please prove that to me
on this hunger
and poverty
convince
me

There Are Times
There are times
when life goes topsy-turvy.
There are times
when we are full of dismay.
There are times
when pebbles dropped in water
can be felt across the bay.
There are times
when life gets a little crazy
and we know not which way to turn.
There are times
when everything is rosy
and in everyone’s life, there is sunshine.
There are times
when you feel lazy
and want the world to roll on by.
There are times
your world is filled with laughter.
There are times
when you want to
just sit down and cry.
There is a time for everything
and it will happen when it wants to.
We can only live from day to day
and take these times when they happen.

You Have Not Yet Learned to Survive
You have not yet learned to survive.
I've heard you make excuses for it.
As you sit in the comfort of your parents' home.
Who provide amenities,
You use and they condone.
You have not yet learned to survive.
I listen to you pass your judgements,
On my appearance and how I dress.
And how I live alone,
Without complaints of being stressed.
And every bill I pay...
I do that on my own.
And that stress factor?
I have no reason to make that known.
You have not yet learned to survive.
You say you raise children?
Who are more with your folks than they are with you.
I have yet to see you do that by yourself.
Without complaining you have no social life left.
And you say your folks are always in your business.
If you stayed away and took care of it,
No one but you would know what that business is.
But you like to announce you have no life and two kids!
And then you tell me,
I don't know what life is about?
I don't know what it is to sacrifice?
Since I have it made living alone,
With no creditors ringing my phone!
And I am always at home I never go out!
Where 'is' your mind?
At Six Flags?
Or DisneyWorld?
Which one is it?
You have not yet learned to survive.
Not if you are relying on others,
To keep your lifestyle alive!
And I know you want to keep your 'lifestyle' alive!
Along with your siblings!
Who bring 'their' children...
For stops at mom and pop's.
To leave and come back when they please!

Radios In Motion
Theres a message up in china
That they getting in japan
Bouncing off an ocean liner
Make em shake em in siam
All the kids are complaining
That theres nowhere to go
All the kids are complaining
That the songs are too slow
All Im saying is youre deaf
To the fact that theres ...
Radios in motion
Atmosphere to ocean
Radios in motion
Gets you out of your red white and blues
When we move then so do youse
Theres a message in milwaukee
That theyre getting in moscow
Everybody walkie talkie
Everybody learning how
All the kids are complaining (etc...)

Not Addressed
If something is not wanted,
In one's life or environment...
Does it have to be accepted?
Especially when options,
Are given to be selected.
Is it ridiculous to listen,
To those with sustained complaints?
Or support those who embellish their circumstances,
Without restraint.
We live in those times when a focused mind is hard to find.
And when one is discovered,
It seems others do their best...
To dismiss the direct honestness of it.
Since this is not addressed on anyone's priority list.

Run
Answer me
Why wont you answer me
I cant recall the day that I last heard from you
Well you dont get a town like this for nothing
So heres what youve got to do
You work your way to the top of the world
Then you break your life in two
Well whats the use in complaining
When youve got what you dont need
Anyone would think you were hardened too
What do you want me to believe
What the hell is happening
I cant think of everything
I dont know what day it is
Or who Im talking to
But I know that Im ok
cause youre here with me today
I havent got a single problem
Now that Im with you
So whats the use in complaining
When youve got everything you need
Anyone would think you were hardened too
What do you want me to believe

The Complaints Return Upon Themselves
THE COMPLAINTS RETURN UPON THEMSELVES
The complaints return upon themselves
There is only old age under the sun.
Vanity of vanity of vanities
I am the greatest vanity of all.
Even the morning light
That usually wakes my soul
Cannot break the dim foreboding
Of Hell on the horizon.
I will die
I will go down
I know.
But my People
This Land
Will You Save us?

Lost Complaint
The day was fine and sunny
And there i was on my balcony
Smoking my favourite ciggy
As i listened to a symphony.
Happiness seemed to be all around
Joy was in the air
Like it had no bounds.
Suddenly my eyes fell on my neighbours brand new car
Then there was my old bike a little distance afar.
Grumpiness and jealousy now crept inside of me
My smile was lost as also my glee.
Cudnt help complaining..My neighbours so well-off.
Then why am i victim of God's scoff? ?
My eyes caught something on the road
It was bustling with traffic in loads.
There in the middle was a man
He was pulling a cart full of metal cans.
He seemed to have crossed his retirement age
Maybe he was pulling the cart just to earn his daily wage.
He seemed hungry....his stomach was stuck to his spine
Cudnt help askin God..'How can you be so unkind.? '
The man's legs seemed to be shaking
I felt like his bones were cracking.
The man seemed like he didnt desire any material comfort
Yet was pulling the cart with all his efforts.
I asked myself..'Why do i whine? '
I know my life is better than him a million times
That poor man had cleared my doubt
Wondered wat i was complaining all about.
