Dark Secret Love

For a moment the world turns its back
And you let me come closer
Though the hearts were filled with fear
For this dark secret love
Oh let the world turn its back
And please let me come closer
Though the hearts filled with fear
For this love
Our 666 has got a name
We burn in its flames again and again
For it is our
Dark secret love
Set me as a seal upon thine heart,
As a seal upon thine arm,
For love is strong as death
Jealousy is cruel as the grave.
The coals thereof
Are coals of fire,
Which hath a most vehement flame.*
I love you - I love you
I love you - I love you

The guardian of the flames

Always there have been
something holy to me,
about flames
that comes alive suddenly.

It’s a great thing
to see flames spread
and to see yellow licking tongs,
consume wood
and to get heat, energy
and comfort from it.

At a time human existence
surely depended on
keeping the secret
of flames
and to make sure,
that the last glowing coals
do not die.

When I was a child,
my brother and me
almost burnt a hillock
and some residences down
by misadventure.

The more I tried to kill
the small fire,
that I started in the long brown winter grass,
the more the fire spread.

It’s a fact that my behind
also burnt on that occasion
from a hiding
with a old fan belt
and I learned quickly,
what the power of fire is
and how to act responsibly with matches.

Tonight I am the guardian of the flames
at the fireplace in the lounge
and I take care of the hot coals
and have to put wood on
before the fire dies.

Coals glowing orange red

Coals glowing orange red in the half drum
blazing through the holes in the sides of it
and a guard warms his hands
where he stands watching, with eyes alert

one hand touching the baton
as if testing if it is still there
and his shadow is gigantic
on the white building behind him

and above him, in the night
God’s coals are aflame
burning through the holes in the sky.

Branding The Foals

WHY do I look for fire to brand these foals?
What do I need, when all within is fire?
And lo, she comes, carrying the lighted coals
And branding tool—she who is my desire!
What need have I for what is in her hands,
If I lay hand upon a hide it brands,
And grass, and trees, and shadows, all are fire!

The thunder cat

In the bush I see a strange thing,
a secret cat
that like a phantom
follow our tracts, shadowing behind
leaving no tracts of its own.

Red eyes glow at night
with the intensity of a fire burning
but every time that I really look
it’s out of reach.

Around the orange-yellow fire
where we are barbequing the meat
from the day’s hunting
I can almost smell the monster
where it sneaks out of sight
around us.

I wonder what has awaken
in the wild veldt, the jungle
and what hell of a thing
we now have drawn
from its sleep?

My.308 rifle and hunting knife
both lie near to my side,
but something let me comprehend
that no usual weapons
will stand against this monster

but at that time I am still convinced
that it’s only imagination
and the tiredness, the party
at the fire
and my thoughts are playing with me.

Totally unconcerned we go to sleep
and with time the flames
burn lower and lower
and there are only glowing coals left.

When I wake up with a start
a bright moon is in the sky
and something strange
stand over me
and it looks part transparent
but still with a fixed
dark form.

I can smell death
on the breath of it
and see its teeth glittering
and it’s as if thunder
flames from its jaws
when it bites at me

and an urge for survival
let me jump from the ground
to the other side
of the glowing coals
and its teeth clash on each other.

Next to me lies a shovel
and some of the coals
still have small flames
and I see that the coals
make it hesitate for a moment.

Desperately I grab the shovel,
scoop if full of coals
and when the monster
opens its jaws again
to take another bite at me
and I get the rotten smell
of its foul breath
I throw the whole shovel
down its throat.

For a moment it roars thundering,
is filled with bright white thunderbolts
and stand ablaze
and looks like a thunder cat
before it disappears into the darkness
and becomes nothing
as if suddenly it’s in another dimension

and everybody stares at me
with eyes huge as saucers
and from the sand
I pick up two teeth
that shines strangely, like diamonds,
but with an unknown blue-white fire
glowing from the inside.

The Fly

How large unto the tiny fly
Must little things appear!-
A rosebud like a feather bed,
Its prickle like a spear;

A dewdrop like a looking-glass,
A hair like golden wire;
The smallest grain of mustard-see
As fierce as coals of fire;

A loaf of bread, a lofty hill;
A wasp, a cruel leopard;
And specks of sale as bright to see
As lambkins to a shepherd.

Youre beautiful more beautiful than me
Youre honorable more honorable than me
Loyal to the bank of america
Its a sign of the times
Its a sign of the times
Youre sharpening stones, walking on coals
To improve your business acumen.
Sharpening stones, walking on coals,
To improve your business acumen.
Vested interest united ties, landed gentry rationalize
Look who bought the myth, by jingo, buy america
Its a sign of the times

Youre sharpening stones, walking on coals
To improve your business acumen.
Sharpening stones, walking on coals,
To improve your business acumen.
Enemy sighted, enemy met, Im addressing the realpolitik
Look who bought the myth, by jingo, buy america
let us not assassinate this man further senator,
Youve done enough. have you no sense of decency, sir?
At long last, have you left no sense of decency?
Youre sharpening stones, walking on coals
To improve your business acumen.
Sharpening stones, walking on coals,
To improve your business acumen.
Enemy sighted, enemy met, Im addressing the realpolitik
Youve seen start and youve seen quit
(Im addressing the table of content)
I always thought of you as quick

John Keats

A Party Of Lovers

Pensive they sit, and roll their languid eyes,
Nibble their toast, and cool their tea with sighs,
Or else forget the purpose of the night,
Forget their tea -- forget their appetite.
See with cross'd arms they sit -- ah! happy crew,
The fire is going out and no one rings
For coals, and therefore no coals Betty brings.
A fly is in the milk-pot -- must he die
By a humane society?
No, no; there Mr. Werter takes his spoon,
Inserts it, dips the handle, and lo! soon
The little straggler, sav'd from perils dark,
Across the teaboard draws a long wet mark.
Arise! take snuffers by the handle,
There's a large cauliflower in each candle.
A winding-sheet, ah me! I must away
To No. 7, just beyond the circus gay.
'Alas, my friend! your coat sits very well;
Where may your tailor live?' 'I may not tell.
O pardon me -- I'm absent now and then.
Where might my tailor live? I say again
I cannot tell, let me no more be teaz'd --
He lives in Wapping, might live where he pleas'd.'

Fireman

When fire sits on top of the head
Smoke can hardly enter the nostrils
Feet walking on coals
And fire bugs bite

The fireman loves
He puts on the axe in hand
Better than class rings
Even other rings

Fires burn when they do a job
How the man can burn without
Restriction can burn a man about
Head to toe

The soul is made pure by fire
Man loves to burn
It is even his desire
Afterwards he must
Needs be tended to

If not
The fire has yet a job to do
To burn a man through and through
If so

Hold him dear
In the fire he bore many tears
In this fashion
He lives all his years

What is fire?
It's much like Our Father
Or yet
He be the fireman
And we on fire

Walking Across Blazing Hot Coals

Walking across blazing hot coals,
Has to be easier to do...
Than to tell a mob of people the truth,
About anything.
Especially if they have been fed beliefs,
They are entitled to everything.

Even making attempts to do it...
They will immediately threaten to burn their season passes,
To a local amusement park that employs most of them.

Try to confront people like this with the telling of the truth,
And everything they have ever known...
They will reduce to rubble to leave chaos and trouble,
With demands to have their fantasies left intact.
As well as their biases against others from which they thieve.

Walking across blazing hot coals,
Has to be easier to do...
Than to tell a mob of people the truth,
About anything.
Especially if they have been fed beliefs,
They are entitled to everything.
And promised!

Winter Love

when it begins to get cold
and the snow begins to fall
love shines like pure gold
cuddled together by the coals

watching movies
playing board games
patching up the memories
you will never be bored

for true love
is a fire
the core of your heart
just keep that fire hot

soon when winter ends
the fire might come to an end
and you will always remember that winter
even in the light of summer

Don't Look Back

Pure coals of mystic fire
Golden universals shine
Revelation, intuitive beauty
Censors of fine tried incense

Poets of the immortal soul
Towers line streets of search
Prayer is the relevance of trials
Cellos, strings, royal purple sky

The high cymbols crash
Let the flutes exalt the light
Embroidered blue dreams
Revere every smile you see

Tears of angry red Egypt
Grasp and clasp the promise
Only for awhile this mortal coil
Vague sight cannot defeat hope

Rest in words above the clouds
Desert dwellers move their tents
Journey with the stars of destiny
Children of the kingdom hear

Kings of the east are marching
Everything is being sifted, weighed
Foundations are shaking
Pure coals from heavens altar

Remember Lot's wife, don't look back!

Burnt

Why can't we look
Deep inside ourselves?
While my sole existence
Is a fountain of amber
In the breadth of your
Burning waltz with each other
You fan his putrefaction
By throwing a dry stick
And the victim of the immolation
Is my scarce flame
And he fans his own fire
With the coals of my dying
To meet a fire break
With you

While the sly tongue
Of fire I held is
A picador hurtling
For its own death
Because I shall not
Succumb to this
Incendiary death

So while we banter
About valiance,
Lies and promises,
And selfishness,
I shall careen into
The holes of the stitches.

Cannibal Surf Babe

(music: marillion lyrics: steve hogarth & john helmer)
Well she tied me to the headboard with a surf leach
And her wet hair hugged her body like a long-lost friend
And I really tried my best to get across to her
But nothing she would say could be defended
Well her birthday suit it was her only present
When I looked into her eyes - no history
And I told her eating people wasnt pleasant
But she laughed a snake eye laugh and walked away from me
I watched her as she walked across the coals
I watched her as she walked across the coals
She was singing: I was born in nineteen sixty weird
And I am your nightmare surfer babe
Mr. wilson wheres your sandbox and your beard
Are you still looking for the perfect microwave
So I did my best to try and get across her
I said: one day every pebble hits the beach
And I kissed her face and held her like a long-lost friend
But she was too far out there to be reached
She was singing: I was born in nineteen sixty weird
Im your nightmare surfer babe
Mr. wilson wheres your sandbox and your beard
Are you still looking for that perfect microwave?
And the sun came up over the mountain
And the waves rolled in across the bay
And the fabulous brightly coloured birds flew up out of the forest
And she said well were all heavens beautiful children livin together in paradise
Lie down my dear... youre going to enjoy this
She looked like shed had sex
With a tyrranosaurus rex
She was singing: I was born in nineteen sixty weird
Im your nightmare surfer babe
Mr. wilson wheres your sandbox and your beard
Are you still looking for that perfect microwave?
And I watched her as she walked across the coals
And I watched her as she walked across the coals

[The Trash Can Fire]

The Trash can fire burns worm.
For another dog left out in the cold.
Glistening streets,
where the dark allies meet.
Another dog without a bone.

Once loyal friend to his master.
Now master of disaster.
His only friend is where he roams
and the only home he now knows.
Is there by the trash can fire.

As rain comes down in sheets.
His matted fer soaks to the core.
Steaming his sole, like water on hot coals
He begs by the trash can fire.

The trash can fire burns worm,
little embers that glow in the night.
Def and blind is this dog.
Never will he belong,
to anything but the trash can fire.
