I'm not religious, but I believe that what I have is a gift, and I respect it and live up to it.

Most Religious People
Most religious people believe their god is the only god though their god they never see
If this be so there are many gods it would seem to me
Each religious grouping claims god as their own
With religion the numbers of unseen gods has grown.
And though to every religious grouping respect one ought to pay
I do not have a god to believe in or to which I could pray
We all look at life in a different sort of a way
And to each their own as some are known to say.
I respect them for their beliefs the respect everyone's due
And for as long as to the higher self one remains true
And to help those in need of help go out of one's way
The god you believe in does seem quite okay.
But you can have it from me one who pens doggerel
A non believer to some and to many an infidel
That the god you believe in you do not represent
If your anger on others you are known to vent.

I think every religious person should have a deep sense of respect for other people's religious documents and religious symbols just as we were deeply opposed to the Taliban destroying the two historic buddhas which they blew up. So I think we ought to all oppose burning the Koran.

No Respect
Respect,
Always everybody looking for some
Respect,
Who do you think youre gonna get it from
Respect,
Anybody here deserving of none
Respect,
Tell me what makes you think
Youre not the one
No respect, no respect none
No respect, no respect none
No respect, no respect none
No respect, no respect none
Respect,
Why be concerned with
Public adulation
Respect,
Pat on the back crying
For attention
Respect,
Finding out what it really
Means to me
Respect,
Honor comes only after
Humility

A Gift From Me To You
I am sending you all
a gift for Christmas.
The gift isn’t big at all,
but when it blossoms,
it is the biggest gift of all.
It comes with love and hugs
that are just for you to keep
for a rainy day
to chase the blues away.
You won’t see the gift
as it is invisible to see,
but you will know its there
and everyone will see.
You see the gift
I am giving you for Christmas
is something from the heart.
It is too big
to fit in any box.
The gift is the gift of friendship,
the most precious treasure
I can give,
it comes from a loving heart
for as long as I may live.
So please accept my gift
as it comes from me to you.

If You Pay Respect
If you pay respect to where respect is due
And to your own higher self try to remain true
And treat everyone as an equal and all as the same
Your's ought to live on as a remembered name.
If for everyone you believe on a 'fair go'
And despite their Race or Creed due respect to them show
And never ruin anyone's character with malicious lies
Above the ordinary you are one who does seem to rise.
If you unlike many not addicted to greed
And try to help those of help who are in need
And of your own Human flaws you do feel aware
To say the least people like you are quite rare.
If you do believe in the live and let live
And you are not too proud to receive and generous enough for to give
And respect to the rights of all others you pay
Then as a person you are doing quite okay.

There is fear of religious mad men
There’s fear of religious mad men
who crash planes into places,
where innocent people live and work
without any apparent reason.
There’s fear of religious mad men
to be able to find,
acquire, or make
nuclear materials
and the ingredients
of the bomb
and to have the blue prints
to build that device
and to use it without any regret
on their fellow man.
There’s fear of religious mad men
to try and change the world
to the backward society
that they want it to be,
but I fear leaders without
any integrity
and with a lack of character
more than all these things,
since they force people
to live empty lives.

Dignity Demands...
dignity demands...
i be who i am,
i stand for what i am,
and i do so with respect!
dignity demands...
i see others for who they are,
that i accept them for who they are,
and do so with respect!
dignity demands...
that i live freedom and equality,
bound by no man nor creed,
and that i live with respect.
dignity demands...
that i do this job,
of living and giving well...
knowing respect brings respect!
dignity demands...

Sonnet: Respect
Respect your elders all if they deserve;
Respect your servants too who you well serve;
Respect your father for tilling the soil;
Respect your mother for her love and toil.
Respect all teachers who gave you knowledge;
Respect your friend who saved you from the ledge;
Respect all good minds who advised you good;
Respect the man of God who gave soul’s food.
Respect all strangers who were all Godsends;
Respect your foes who taught you self-defense;
Respect those evil men who you troubled;
Respect the tempter who well you misled.
Respect your conscience which tells you what’s right;
Respect your God who is your Friend and Guide.

Life's A Gift
Life’s a gift for you to send
Life’s a gift for god to end
Life’s a gift now you’re with me
Life’s a gift for all to see
Life’s a gift when love is true
Life’s a gift when times look blue
Life’s a gift with the one you trust
Life’s a gift even if UN just
Life’s a gift a ray of sun
Life’s a gift though your heads held to a gun
Life’s a gift when its handed on a tray
Life’s a gift even though it’s always on display
Life’s a gift it’s hard to understand how
Life’s a gift so take advantage of it now

Respect Sows Peace
Do not restrict respect
to age because someone is old
show real respect to all
but respect most
heart motivation
of people worthy
of that respect.
Respect is given
respect is earned
respect enriches
respect ennobles
graces civilization
elevates humanity
sows seeds of peace.

That Which I Respect
I respect, another mans religion, or color or creed.
I respect, and follow, the will of my maker.
I respect, the truth, no matter how unpopular.
I respect, a good work ethic.
I respect, the values on which this country was founded.
I respect, those who would champion the under privileged.
I respect, those of differences, who seek common ground.
I respect, the concept of monogamy.
I respect, those faithful to principal.
I respect, change, that is for the better.
I respect, an honest days work.
I respect, the great talents of the entertainment world.
I respect, thought provoking works, of the written word.
I respect, the unquenchable thirst of creativity.
I respect, the farmers and workers that toil in the field.
I respect, the good in man.
I respect, the virtue in woman.
I respect, the innocence of children.
I respect, the generosity of mankind.
Most of all...I respect the maker of
life and the love, that each of us
have within us.

A Gift Of Love
Here in this sighlent night
Now all the world is right
As if we'sundenley been giving
A gift of love
A gift of love
Warm as the fire glow
Soft as the falling snow
A pre..... micael we live in
This wonder of a gift of love
Night falls
At this coldest time of the year
Love calls
Here where I love you so
Now as our blessings grow
We shear the greatest gift we'll ever know
A gift of love
A gift of love

Repect The Struggle.....
Respect the struggle
Strive to prevail
Stop wondering
What’s fake or real
Respect the hustle
You can not fail
Get on your feet
Let your spirit set sail
Respect the hard times
For what they are worth
They teach us a lot
But they indeed do hurt
Respect the real
Ignore the fake
The fake will take
What you worked hard, to make
Respect the wise
For they kno wisdom
When they breathe no longer
Do not forget them
Respect the game
Even if you don’t win
You have to learn to lose
In order to win
Respect the dignity
That no one can take
Be strong
Sooo you won’t break
Respect the process
Of life it’s self
Whether poor or rich
Life is a gift
But when it get’s hard
It’s almost cursed
Respect the rewards
For working hard
But don’t let that
Taint who you are
Respect the struggle of
Life’s a bitter sweet curse
But you can turn that around
And make it a blessing in the works
That feels sooo good
It needs no words
My friend,
This is the end of my
Bitter sweet words
