I'm going to Chicago that's the last place my baby stayed
I'm packing up my bags I'm gonna leave this town right away
I'm gonna find that girl if I have to hitch hike around the world
"Chicago City" that's what the sign on the freeway read
I'm gonna keep on going 'til I get to that street's called 6th and Main
I've gotta find that girl if i have to hitch hike around the world
C'mon hitch hike

Footloose
Album: Not Another Teen Movie [Soundtrack] (2001)
I been working so hard
I punch my card
Eight hours, for what?
Now tell me what I got
I get this feeling
That time's just holding me down
I'll hit the ceiling
Or else I'll tear up this town
Now I gotta cut
Loose, footloose
Kick off my Sunday shoes
Please, Louise
Pull me offa my knees
Jack, get back
C'mon before we crack
Lose your blues
Come on and get footloose
You're playing so cool
Obeying every rule
Dig way down in your heart
You're burning, yearning for some
Somebody to tell you
That life ain't passing you by
I'm trying to tell you
It will if you don't even try
now you gotta cut
Loose, footloose
Kick off the Sunday shoes
Oowhee, Marie
Shake it, shake it for me
Whoa, my lord
C'mon, c'mon let's go
Lose your blues
Everybody get footloose
you've got to turn me around
You put your feet on the ground
Now take a hold of your soul
I'm turning
Loose, footloose
Kick off your Sunday shoes
Please, Louise
Pull me offa my knees
Jack, get back
C'mon before we crack
Lose your blues
Come on and get footloose
Footloose, footloose
Kick off your Sunday shoes
Oowhee, Marie
Shake it, shake it for me
Whoa, My lord
C'mon, c'mon let's go
Lose your blues
Everybody get footloose

Memories
I have nothing but memories of you and I,
I once cried out for you, once shed blood for you,
It didn’t bother or cared enough for you to see how much I truly cared for you,
When I go to the mall I have memories of how we first met,
When I enter the movies I have memories of you and I hold hands and watching a movie,
When I go to a certain spot I have memories of how you and I first kissed,
But this is nothing but memories of you,
When I sit out in the cold,
I told myself I won’t fall for you,
Yet I did,
I have fallen,
Fallen for you,
Everywhere I go I have fond memories of you,
Memories that just won’t fade away,
Memories that can not be erased,
Memories I shall forever keep,
The memories of you will help me out,
Memories of you will teach me a lesson,
A lesson I won’t forget,
The memories that you and I once shared will forever be locked away.

Pride Aside on Love
Innocence and pride make two
as pride and love - forget-me-not -
from fever cools as through and through
fond memories few keep. Fools blot
their copy books, mock Cupid's coo
as selfishness unravels knot,
hands tied dis paired, what should be true.
When once fidelity's bolt's shot
some lock out souvenirs, fond cue
forget - from pseudo sage to sot -
invent excuses spent, unglue.
False feelings [b]ring crime Time will rot.
Yet Cupid's dart should hearts entwine
in happiness come rain or shine.

fond memories few keep, sots blot
their copy books, unravel knot
hands tied when paired, once bolt is shot
block out souvenirs, fond cue
forget - from pseudo sage to sot -
label feelings they've forgot
that once they thought by heart they knew.

FOOTLOOSE and FANCY-FREE
Footloose and fancy-free,
that's the way he used to be.
Never tied down to just one place.
Always a smile on his face.
Forever ready to take on the world
wherever it was that it unfurled.
But as so many days went by
he now forgot just how to fly.
His footloose feet were flat on the ground.
His feet were always tired he found.
For they were thickly mired.
No more was he inspired
to move from where he was.
the way a young man does.
For what he had become
almost made him numb.
Couldn't remember how it felt
when he'd been young and svelte.
So now he traveled in his mind,
traveled back so he could find
unburdened days and vitality
to moments where he still could see
himself footloose and fancy-free
and revel in his history.

Allisa my Niece
Baby Allisa would grow up to be,
a mother of Mya who is now 3.
I will always have fond memories
of Allisa who is very outgoing and very sweet.
Allisa came with me as helper to my book readings.
She helped set up the props for my set,
She even was helpful and didn't fret.
When Allisa was ten, we celebrate at Famous Daves,
Allisa tells M.C. it's my birthday, to announce it on stage.
She was even a princess in my video shoot,
It was fun, it was a hoot!
I have Halloween photos of the party at the mansion on Lyndale,
when Allisa and her friends had fun to the upscale.
Yes, Allisa takes great photos and even video's too,
we shot a funny video at a middle school.
Yes, by then Allisa was taller than me,
yes, she had grown into a preteen.
I just saw Allisa and her daughter just last year,
I gave niece Mya a toy owl, she was in good cheer.
Thank you Allisa for all the fond memories.

Sex Never Goes Out Of Fashion
She's the kind of girl who likes to do it stand up
From the back or anyway you want it, love
From the top if you keep it going all night
You're as good as the next for a fun time
Lookie here like a rabbit on the dancefloor
Party girl like you comin' in the back door
"c'mon boy, give it good, give an encore.."
Never leave a hungry sister begging one more
You keep it good and she'll beat you at your own game
Flip a switch and she's crying out her own name
Keep a lady happy as a little lamb
Give her head and you're riding on a sure shot
It's a sure shot... Honey, it's a sure shot
It's a sure shot, sure shot, sure shot
It's a sure shot... Honey, it's a sure shot
It's a sure shot, sure shot, sure shot
It's a sure shot... Honey, it's a sure shot
It's a sure shot, sure shot, sure shot
Wham bam slam it like a mama's man
Baby's on her back doin' the can-can
Such a babe-licious poco loco
Make her bob, make her beg and sweat it hardcore
Honky tonky lovin' keep her trembling
Funky style's never out of fashion, man
Keep it fresh with something for the weekend
Get some, daddy... You're riding on a sure shot

Memories
Memories of good times
Memories of bad times
Memories of our love
So many memories
Memories of us crying
Memories of us laughing
Memories of our commitment
So many memories
Memories of us hugging
Memories of us kissing
Memories of those late nights
So many memories
Memories of how we met
Memories of how you left
Memories of what you said
So many memories
Why did you leave me
with so many memories
Did you ever realize
that my memories are yours
Everything we did together
stays within our memories
I remember getting hurt
Do you hurt too
Let's make a new memory
that we can both share
Let's love again
in our memories

5. The Cat
The cat shot over the sleeping dog
And caught it with his paw
The cat shot over the table
Dog chased him through the door
The cat shot over the TV
And Landed in a chair
The cat shot over the ceiling light
Springs shot him through the air
The cat shot over the mirror
A cat gave him a fright
The cat shot over his image
But didn’t want to fight
The cat shot over the fireplace
Burnt tail on red hot coal
The cat shot over the hearthrug
Like a firework on a roll
The cat shot over the window ledge
Burnt curtains caught in the nets
The cat shot over in dad’s old car
For a visit to the vets

One Clan Left, Another I Met
I wonder at the different phases of life,
i met people in meets and bounds,
one clan left another i met,
there is no bond but memory allures,
sometime haunts othertime fond,
at times i travel down the memory lane,
and get lost in solitary way,
many things are gone in vain,
thou i feel utter pain,
few people whom i admired a lot,
are nowhere nearby now,
with those i passed my afternoon blues,
with laughter and smile,
where are they now
i wonder i wonder and wonder more and more,
when i think of them,
almost i feel lonely and lost,
for time never stops and memories never fades.

One Shot At Love
One shot
Oh lord
You know, its gonna be a lot of negative things surroundin you
Tryin to pull you down
But what you have to remember is
Its up to you - its your choice
You only get one shot in life
And you only get one shot at love
Did you ever notice - everytime you fall in love
And it seems like you finally met the perfect match
Everything is perfect, it seems divine
But for some strange reason, theres always a catch
Its a one-way relationship, it hurts inside
One person smirks while the other one cries
Butterflies in the stomach of the one whose in love
It cuts like a knife, the truth mixed with lies
One shot (one shot at love..)
One shot at love, one shot (one shot at love..)
One shot at love, one shot (one shot at love..)
One shot at love, one shot (one shot at love..)
Thats all you get
Physical and mental, those are two different loves
Physicals a moment, mental is forever
If the physical fades and gets weak, all of a sudden
Remember, its the mental love that keeps you together
You gotta be strong and endure the hard times
Cause af-ter hard times, good times, always follow
And when youre kissin and huggin and makin love
Treat that person like theres no tomorrow
One shot (one shot at love..)
One shot at love, one shot (one shot at love..)
Thats all you get baby; one shot at love, one shot (one shot at love..)
One shot at love, one.. shot.. (one shot at love..)
Thats all you get {*sniff*}
Jealousy - dont let it interfere
Dont let it come in between
The love you two share, cause jealousys a hateful god
So merciless and mean
And its only job in life, is to ruin relationships
And pit two people against, one another
And because of this god, the one you love so much
Will no longer be your lover
One shot (one shot at love..)
Aww baby, one shot at love, one shot (one shot at love..)
Thats all we get, one shot at love, one shot (one shot at love..)
I mean this baby, one shot at love, one shot (one shot at love..)
Thats all..
I hope you understand what I just said
All Im sayin is that you only get one shot at love in life
And you have to hold on to that shot, take advantage of it
Cause when you lose it, its gonna hurt real bad
Take it from me
You only get one shot, and I mean that
One shot
You only get you only get you only get one (2x)
One shot at love..
You only get you only get you only get one (2x)
One shot at love..
You only get you only get you only get one (2x)
One shot at love..
You only get you only get you only get one (2x)
One shot at love.. {*fades*}

(come on now,
Come on, come on, yeah, ow!)
Come on honey, take a trip with me
Well take a double shot of ectasy
Ill drink some water from a wooden cup
And keep a rockin til the sun comes up
Chorus:
And I warn you

And I warn you

Gimme Shelter
Oh, the storm is threatening
My very life today.
If I dont get some shelter
Oh yeah, Im gonna fade away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
See the fire sweepin
Our very streets today
Burns like a red coal carpet
Mad bull lost its way
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Well, murder
Its just a shot away
Well, murder
Its just a shot away
Brother, sister
Its just a kiss away
Well, murder
Its just a kiss away, kiss away, kiss away

Price Hike
Poor sales,
Prices of foodstuffs,
Price hike,
Potential buyers!
Mentioned and compelled to the muse of marketing,
But the lack of transportations and bad roads had led to the increment.
A bunch of plantain,
A bag of cocoyam,
Vegetables sellers,
From 'Krowsua to Sunyani'!
But the price hike was all about the festivals.

Alzheimer’s
To where have all the words gone
and why are memories
fading away,
as if they were never
meant to be?
Calculus and math
have taken a hike
and normal speech,
is away on a motorbike
and has left for good.
Like a clown to people
around me I act,
without knowing what
they found so funny
and why they look at me
as if I am mad.
What has happened to me
and where’s my integrity
and what road have my dignity taken
and why can’t I just be me?

Shot In The Dark
Out on the street Im stalking the night
I can hear my heavy breathing
Paid for the kill but it doesnt seem right
Something there I cant believe in
Voices are calling from inside my head
I can hear them I can hear them
Vanishing memories of things that were said
They cant try to hurt me now
But a shot in the dark one step away from you
A shot in the dark always creeping up on you
Taught by the powers that preach over me
I can hear their empty reason
I wouldnt listen I learnt how to fight
I opened up my mind to treason
But just like the wounded and when its too late
Theyll remember theyll surrender
Never a care for that people who hate
Underestimate me now
But a shot in the dark one step away from you
A shot in the dark not a thing that you can do
A shot in the dark always creeping up on you
But just like the wounded and when its too late
Theyll remember theyll surrender
Never a care for the people who hate
Underestimate me now
But a shot in the dark one step away from you
A shot in the dark not a thing that you can do
A shot in the dark always creeping up on you

Hit Me With Your Best Shot
You're a real tough cookie with a long history
Of breaking little hearts like the one in me
That's okay, let's see how you do it
Put up your dukes, let's get down to it
[chorus]
Hit me with your best shot
Why don't you hit me with your best shot
Hit me with your best shot
Fire away
You come on with the come on
You don't fight fair
That's okay, see if I care
Knock me down, it's all in vain
I get right back up on my feet again
[chorus]
Hit me with your best shot
Why don't you hit me with your best shot
Hit me with your best shot
Fire away
You're a real tough cookie with a long history
Of breaking little hearts like the one in me
Before I put another notch in my lipstick case
You better make sure you put me in my place
Hit me with your best shot, c'mon
Hit me with your best shot
Hit me with your best shot
Fire away
[chorus]
Hit me with your best shot
Why don't you hit me with your best shot
Hit me with your best shot
Fire Away
