Midwest kids got to summer camp. There is something very special about being away from your parents for the first time, sleeping under the stars, hiking and canoeing.

I had 500 kids at camp this past summer for example. We do nine weeks for kids and nine days for grown ups every summer. The adult camp is a lot of fun.

My May 2006
May is dead,
And a trouble has made leave.
No more school days do I have to dread,
But rather summer plans to achieve.
Finals have settled in the past,
And thank god for that.
Hopefully the summer will long last,
And give me time with my friends to chat.
Don’t forget the drama of “Brevard Running Camp”,
Or the fights fought over track.
It seemed like it was a well lit lamp,
Whose bulb would just not crack.
But o well for training in the summer,
Honestly who cares?
To train in order to go to UMC camp is surely a bummer,
And I have no choice because the fights have their wares.
We shall see what this summer has to bring,
Especially now with Mallory in town.
Hopefully this summer shall sing,
A song of laughter and joy without frown.

Six-pack Summer
(phil vassar, charlie black, tommy rocco)
Winter sure was cold and miserable
Cooped up, shut down, baby it was pitiful
Anyhow, its over now
We owe to ourselves to have a little fun
The pace cars pacin now the green flags wavin
Uh, oh another six-pack summer comin
Sing to me babe Ill be your dashboard drummer and
Lets turn the radio up as loud it can go
Got the ultra-ray wraparound sunglass vision
Got the sails up iced down a cool ambition
Just to relax and let the six-pack summer roll
Weve got the sun block, a blanket and the best of jimmy buffet
T-bones for the grill, hey aint it great to rough it
The partys on from dawn to dawn
24-7 til they pull the plug
No more waitin come on and kiss me baby
Uh, oh another six-pack summer comin
Sing to me babe Ill be your dashboard drummer and
Lets turn the radio up as loud it can go
Got the ultra-ray wraparound sunglass vision
Got the sails up iced down a cool ambition
Just to relax and let the six-pack summer roll
Slow and steady, Im so ready
Uh, oh another six-pack summer

Summer! ! ! ! !
Oh It's here
The summer is here
The hot and sunny days that I am eager to have
The kids in the beach
The splashing in the pool
Now that's what i call the fun
Now parents you listen the summer is here
So get prepared for the buying and selling
I want you parents to make your children's dream
come true so you start selling or start earning
But..... IT'S HERE THE SUMMER IS HERE
Where there is hotness, sun tans, The bucket full of water,
The seashells, the laughter, Happiness,
Lastly the air filled with joy
The summer is when you mostly have...
Your Vacation
Your nice cold lemonade
No homework
And obviously can relax on your bed and be lazy
Now you kids better behave out there and have the best summer ever

When It Rains, It Really Pours
(words & music by w. emmerson)
You know what it takes,
Youve got it, baby.
You are the only one I chose.
Dont leave me here with all these heartaches,
Only you and heaven knows
About my troubles troubles troubles.
When it rains, it really pours...
You shouldnt have took away my loving
You know you thrill me from head to toe.
I got a feeling for you baby
And youre the only one who knows
About my troubles, troubles, troubles.
When it rains, it really pours...
You know what you did to make me love you
You really opened up my nose.
You got what you wanted, now you left me.
Thats the way the story goes.
Well, I got troubles, troubles, troubles.
When it rains, it really pours.

Almost Done
the summer
is almost here
almost time
for a summer cheer
of shopping and swimming
No school for the kids
and now the parents have the summer to hear yelling and dealing with childish sins
But for now we all shall parish
shall work are butts off till is is true
that summer is here
summer is almost here
just not yet
its almost done
all we have to do
is
wait....

(guitar intro)
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
Well you're out there, on the highway
While you're drivin', a-roll on by
Goin' south between the bridges
While the river's runnin' dry
And if ya can't come home
Please send your mind
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
Now you're talkin', where ya goin'
On the train that sees the road
'Cross the nation, passing stations
While the night is as black as coal
And if you can't come home
Please send your mind
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
Ooo!
(Guitar solo and Instrumental)
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
Well, if your handle ain't, on your heartbeat
And your headed between the sheet
And the sign isn't from the lamp post
On the corner of the street
And if ya can't come home
Please send your mind
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
Ooo-ooo-we
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
Ooo-ooo-wee-ooo
(Send your mind)
A we-we-eee
(Send your mind)
A we-eee
(Send your mind)
Aah, little darlin'
(Send your mind)
Come on home
(Send your mind)
Come on home
(Send your mind)
Aah, send it, send it, send it
Send your mind
(Send your mind)
Ah, try to send it, baby
(Send your mind)
All ya gotta do
(Send your mind)
Shoo-be-do, shoo-be-do, shoo-be-do
(Send your mind)
Aah, send your mind
(Send your mind)
(Send your mind)
Go on send it darlin'
(Send your mind)
Come on home

Parents Are Not Payable
Listen, dear brothers, sisters,
Look back in nostalgia;
Think about dear mother,
dear father,
The ones who gave life to you
And thaught you how to be
a man, a woman too;
Your mother who suckled you
Nine months she bore you
in her womb;
From his own sweat your
father paid for your school
And made sure your belly is
never emptied with food.
Think about them in
everything you do.
For some day you wil be
a father, a mother too
And your children will think
about you in everything
they do
They will think of the
troubles you went through
To help them pull through.
PARENTS can never be repaid
No matter the wealth you
may have attained.
Parents are not payable,
You just have to make them
feel comfortable,
And that would be enough
for their troubles.

So Strange
Its so hard to breathe right now
Living things without a friend of mine
Air just filling every bit, of every end, of every mind
You thought you could feel
And its maybe 6 a.m.
And no one wants to be with me
So Im calling out to someone and something that I dont know so well
Ohh, Im free
If I cant find the warmth in my summer
And I cant find the light in my day
I just look to my friends and well see our troubles away
You make me feel so strange
Wont you let me breathe the air
I want to hold on to right now
Wont you let me read a book about
Someones queen who came back for me
I see bridges in my eyes
I see mornings left for the children
I see people holding back, trying to find another reason so they can walk away
And it makes me scream and I pray
If you cant find the warmth in my summer
And I cant find the light in my day
I just look to my friends and Ill see our troubles away
You make me feel so
It can never end cause we dont speak
It will never just die
So why dont you call the man
And, tell him to come over here and just clean up my pride
If you cant find the warmth in my summer
And I cant find the light in my day
I just look to my friend and well see our little troubles away
You make me feel so strange
If you cant find the warmth in my summer
And I cant find the light in my day
I just look to my friend and well see our troubles away

Beds
A nest is where a bird sleeps,
Feeds and flies from,
Above a black roof –
A kennel, which is where
The dog goes skulking.
And beside it is a house
Where we go
With our dog in the summer,
To hear the birds come home,
To send the dog to bed,
And to celebrate
Being older together,
Before the hill that looms
Behind the church where we go
Comes out of the summer,
To send us to bed.

Kidnapped Child
Though they are with you
Yet....they're alone
Frightened and longing
For surroundings they've known
....Send them on home
To loved ones awaiting
Loved ones......deprived
Of an answer to the question
...'Is my child alive'
....Send them on home
'Cause time is still dragging
...Seconds.......seem years
Siblings and parents
...Living...the tears
Send them on home
.....To the happiness
And laughter..once they knew
If there is any decency
....Left ever..........in you
..............Then..
Send them on home

You've Got Your Troubles
you've got your troubles
Fortunes
I see that worried look upon your face,
You've got your troubles, i got mine.
She's found somebody else to take your place;
You've got your troubles, i got mine.
I too have lost my love today,
All of my dreams have flown away.
Now just like you i sit and wonder why;
You've got your troubles, i got mine.
You need some sympathy, well so do i,
You've got your troubles, i got mine.
She used to love me, that i know,
And it don't seem so long ago
That we were walking, that we were talking
The way that lovers do.
And so forgive me if i seem unkind,
You've got your troubles, i got mine.
(counter: and it must seem to you, my friend
That i ain't got no pity for you,
Well, that ain't true,
You see i love that little girl, little girl, little
Girl.)
I'd help another place, another time,
You've got your troubles, i got mine.
You've got your troubles, i got mine.
You've got your troubles, i got mine.

Please Send Me Someone To Love
Heaven please send to all mankind,
Understanding and peace of mind.
But, if it's not asking too much
Please send me someone to love.
Show all the world how to get along,
Peace will enter when hate is gone.
But, if it's not asking too much,
Please send me someone to love.
I lay awake night and ponder world troubles.
My answer is always the same.
That unless men put an end to all of this,
Hate will put the world in a flame, (oh) what a shame.
Just because I'm in misery.
I don't beg for no sympathy.
But if it's not asking too much,
Just send me someone to love.
Just because I'm in misery,
I don't beg for no sympathy.
But if it's not asking too much,
Please send me someone to love.

Run With The Pack
You never give me my money
you only give me your sympathy
cause I keep on running
there Is no way to catch up with me
I'm leaving you
don't make no fuss
you want even see me oh no for dust
I'm running with the pack, running with the pack
I'm running with the pack, never looking back
you try to keep me In cages
but baby you got to catch me first
you think your law Is contagious
I'll do my best you can do your worst
I'm leaving you
now who can I trust
you want even see me oh no for dust
I'm running with the pack, running with the pack
I'm running with the pack, never looking back
I'm running with the pack, running with the pack
I'm running with the pack, never looking back
I'm running with the pack, running with the pack
I'm running with the pack, never looking back
you can hold me now......
On my own way, running with the pack
never never looking back
keep on running, keep on running
movin on, movin on

Summer Nights
(2/16/12)
It came upon a summers night
The wind was cool, the stars were bright.
Never in her life did she have such a thrill
As she felt her heart start to fill.
The beauties and splendors of the night
Created such a beautiful sight.
There was a feeling of love in the air
Wiping away all troubles and cares.
Music being played in the streets
Children dancing to the beat
Elderly couples walking hand in hand
This was a night that no one planned.
The summer nights tend to set all hearts free
And this is where you want to be.
Looking up at the stars at night
And seeing all of gods beauties
In my mind take flight.
Recalling times of summer s past
And hoping that it would forever last
But each season has a beginning and an end
And new memories in your mind to
Your heart will send.
But I will take my summer nights
And look upon my summer days
And to god for this I give him praise.

Don't bite into my skin
With troubles you begin
That venom you want in me,
Just wont be...
Oh No!
I've had it up to here!
And I'm gonna make it clear,
What I want...
To make you disappear!
I want tweezers on my eyebrows now.
And lipstick on my lips,
Colored Cherry for kissing.
I want a manicure
To explore in distance from you!
I need no man to bark to me demands.
I can stand or sit
Away from your shit!
And be contented...
With the motorized loving I do!
Do you want to hear the chorus?
'Go away...please!
Pack your bags and leave!
I've found a beautyshop
Where I can block out the barking!
Go away please!
Pack your bags and leave!
I've found a beautyshop...
That blocks all my memories of you! '
1st and 2nd verse?
Don't bite into my skin.
With troubles you begin.
That venom you want in me...
Just wont be!
OH NO!
I've had it up to 'here'...
And I'm gonna make it clear,
What I want,
Is the humming from the dryer
And the cries from a liar,
To disappear!
'You added more to the 2nd verse
Then was there the first time around! '
Go away...PLEASE!
Pack your bags and leave!
I've found a beautyshop...
That blocks all memory of you!

If you want to write, write it. That's the first rule. And send it in, and send it in to someone who can publish it or get it published. Don't send it to me. Don't show it to your spouse, or your significant other, or your parents, or somebody. They're not going to publish it.

Six Pack Girls
Gonna find some girls tonight
My friday night has washed away
Beer bong has me wandering around
The girls that look like drugs and alcohol
Six pack girls,
Six pack girls
Six pack girls
Six pack
So you pick her up and you bring her home
And you think about it for a while
Wake up the next morning and sure enough
Its not two girls!
Version 2
Go to work, and then go to bed your friday night,
Has washed away your bummed out,
About your work cause youve already put in,
Your thousand hours theyre all
Six pack girls,
Theyre all six pack girls,
Theyre all six pack girls,
Six pack
So you pick her up,
And you bring her home
You take her out,
And thats all youre alone,
And you want it sure
Enough your, stuck with her theyre all
Six pack girls,
Theyre all six pack girls,
Theyre all six pack girls,
Six pack
