Crash onto a Roadside Palmist..!

On every occasion
Misfortunes lash at my shores
With mindless ferocity
Mind-wrecked I crash onto
A roadside palmist
For visions of prosperity
Coursing through my lines!

Those rosy predictions-
With a sprinkle of adversity-
Dust me and clothe
In songs dance and dreams!
A resolve to live
Dearly blossoms!

Awaiting mirages I dare
Yet another instalment of life..!

The foolish servant reads the palm in his Master's absence

His psychological stress took him to a person who reads the palm and gives you a narrative gesture about your identity.
'Stretch your palm and what do you prefer
Past, Present or Future? '
'All'
'Yes, past is gone and it never comes,
Present still goes and you gain fifty fifty.
But you never save in your lifetime.
Future is nice but it hasn't come yet.
There will be some changes in your life and who knows?
You don't want to see a Palmist as you read yourself well.
Future is nice and nothing to be worried.'
Before he leaves the servant showed his palm and begged him to read something about his future.

Ages should be with me

What will you choose if you.........quoth he
My choice is not to keep mountainous age,
‘Tis my desire, 'Ages should be with me '.

..............Before the utterance of thought
Of the Palmist, gave my hand in his hand
With crabbed line and said, lo it has wrought.

'Ya, ............its Silver hand with moon's spot
But Fate...Ah! this line is..Right...self created
Lines! Sun, Mercury. Venus..Okay, but... The pot'

Sir, rays of your Eyes are very hot
Lest it should melt and mingle, please leave
Let me go now, have to work a lot.

'He defied, said wot, two life line..........
This is life line.....This is called sister line...
Ah, pines tree, you know, your life... Late shine '

Sir, Look, this life of mine will hie,
Not worried, laughingly I will depart
Saying everybody, Allah Hafiz and good bye

Worried.. Please, guide me to preserve
Eternity under the sovereignty of Allah
What deed I do so as to deserve? //

I am your maternal Aunt from Ohio!

A letter came without the sender's address.
She's written 'I am your Aunt but I cannot prove it.
Do not think that I am senile,
Still I can trace Judas who made the crown of thorns
For our Good Shepherd!
Do not think that I am mean
The Plumbago mine to whom I give
Before I take oaths in the Heaven.
Purposely I omitted my address on the envelope
Because I know you rascal never step into this lonely Aunt's habitation!
And you scribble the whole life until you go to the Hell!
I am your Aunt Hellen!

For the young couple in the Wedlock Mike & Sue!

*Is this the Canadian Aunt once poor deceased Mom mentioned in my faded dream?
But she must have gone to the heaven already.I have doubts whether she writes her last will the Plumbago mine for me? Now I remember once a palmist in my country predicted, one day I own a sudden wealth in a strange soil.O I can make pencils for poor children free!

A Hick Picked up by a Pig

He recited the lines of love-scenes of Shakespeare
and she got elated and called him often for chatting.
He sang a heart-moving melody
and she praised him with all the words she knew.
He blabbed all the details of his family
but she was cagey in divulging her secrets.
She looked at his palm as a palmist did
and amazed at his strong, lengthy fingers.
He would primp himself before meeting her,
carrying a bag full of biscuits and fruits
which he didn't buy even for his children.
He wrote sonnets about his longing heart
and she thanked him for her being the heroine
of his poems as the dark lady of Shakespeare.
When he stretched his hand to pull her,
She hopped off and evaded his touch.
' Doesn't my heart have a nice embrace of yours? '
he asked her with his begging eyes.
' You will poach my heart first and then my body
feigning you are in love with me', she said biting her teeth.
' Citing the hills, seas and the sky, I promise you, I love you'.
Before he finished saying, she blared out:
' I can't give space in this little heart for all those I meet.
I have already sold it to someone. Waiting long for him'
With needless grief, and hanging head,
his body gave company to his heart in its walk-out.
When he narrated this tale to his friend,
' Don't talk of that beast cheated me last year',
he said and puffed his cigar.

Quicksilver Rider

I see the raven's eyes,
and I see the lights
I saw the gold rush
San Francisco nights
I am the reader,
a palmist fly
I can see the future,
I can testify
I knew Attilla,
I met Genghis Khan
Drank with Napoleon,
held Nelson in my arms
Quicksilver rider
medicine man
A sign of faith
children of the damned
Quicksilver rider
salamander man
Prophet of the guises
with the world in his hands
I've known love
I've known pain
Death and sorrow
the mighty and the slain
I was created
in 10 BC
The sign of life
the sign of seed
I met Moses,
I know Jezebel
Partied with Nero
as Rome burned and fell
Quicksilver rider
medicine man
A sign of faith
children of the damned
Quicksilver rider
salamander man
Prophet of the guises
with the world in his hands
Solo
Rattlesnakes heads
and voodoo dolls
It's old religion
like old creole
I am the dust of
time and space
Your darkest nightmare
without a face
I saw sunrise
from Enola Gay
Sat down with Ghandi
and started to pray
Quicksilver rider
medicine man
A sign of faith
children of the damned
Quicksilver rider
salamander man
Prophet of the guises
with the world in his hands
Quicksilver rider
medicine man
A sign of faith
children of the damned
Quicksilver rider
salamander man
Prophet of the guises
with the world in his hands

On The Second Day

I went through
This busy bazaar
Yesterday;
Here sat a man
With the wares of bangles,
And fake ornaments,
Who chanted with a melodious sound,
Echoing, mingling,
Into the evening gale,
And around him sat some damsels,
With overflowing emotions,
Selecting the ornaments
Trying them on fingers,
And delicate wrists.

There sat an old man:
A fruit-vendor selling oranges,
And claiming them the rarest in the land.
I can recall the beheld smile on his face,
And shine in the eyes.

There beside the electric-pole,
Lay a man with amputated legs,
And each passerby threw a coin or two,
In the begging-bowl,
Place in front, and went on with penitence.

I n the middle
There stood a steak-seller,
Who fanned fire of coals,
And with agility turned over
The spicy steaks,
Forked on the iron-spikes;
A few men gathered around,
Ate them with relish, and I too
Passed by with a drooling mouth.

Beside him stood a toy-seller,
The kids dragged behind the parents,
When they passed by,
With a wish to afford them
Balls and balloons.

In that corner
There sat a fortune teller;
Around him sat the young boys
Spreading their palms,
Anxious to know about their future,
And the palmist described to them,
Stars and crosses, and hair on
The lines of life, heart and mind.

Ah! Today the spot is lamenting,
Just a few hours ago,
Have been gathered,
Human shreds, bones and skulls,
Limbs and legs,
Placed jumbled, indiscriminate,
In the ambulances.
A few remains left behind
Of destroyed vehicles,
Of blackness of soot mingled
Into redness of human blood,
Of explosives: a pungent smell.

Am no fortune teller

Am no fortune teller or palmist
Neither a historian nor economist
Ordinary thinker and activist
Optimistic and not a pessimist

Do you think peace should be given a chance?
Hatred and violence should stop at once?
No Blood shed instead friendship and cooperation
Beginning of new chapter with warm relation

Who prefers turmoil and oozing volcano?
Burning settlements as if towering inferno
Have we no courage to say emphatic “no”
All the barriers and obstacles to “go”

Why our heart is not filled with sympathy?
Do we want our brethrens to live with apathy?
Do we not want bright sun shine for their kids?
Do we have no clue or positive leads?

I wish to shun the violence but shut the eyes
Ignore the facts and try to find excuses and why’s?
Where does it lead for our common approach?
I wish it to happen in large scale as such

I know it is not realistic
It may also look cosmetic
Still it is worth try and good sign
Hoe world may realize and resign

Guns may stop and Church’s bell may strike
Prayers and hymns may be heard on mike
Not for safety warning but for mass gathering
Burial for hatred and for storm withering

How time it may take for killing thousands?
Single missile gun shell will do it in seconds
Spill of blood all over but no one to take care
Where is place for us to run and take shelter?

Guns and ammunitions to be found inn plenty
Demolition of temporal houses by violating sanctity
Where will go to offer prayers and feel the curse?
Do we have anything left to nurture the wounds and nurse?

We have only one home to seek refuge?
No one may block your entry or refuse?
It is not fact that we are blind and selfish
But God only knows what force is pushing us to perish?

I have powerful wish to wither the storm
As an individual I shall try to be warm
Do nothing that helps to vitiate or spoil
Water down the attempt which keeps in turmoil

This land does not belong to anyone
Almighty has created for every one
Who are we to divide it in areas or zones?
Only scattered bodies may be found with little bones

Let there be no shots from any direction
Let the hands rise for peace in one action
The evils may never be rooted out completely
There may be no use if it is realized lately
