Lincoln did more than any other man to put the stamp of righteousness, to put the stamp of compassion, on the name of America.

Sonnet: Postal Stamp History
Sonnet: Postal Stamp History
The postal stamp started in England (1840)
And was destined to spread around the world.
It would soon reach as far as Brazil,
As the momentum continued to swirl.
It reached the United States of America
In the year of eighteen-forty five.
And a winner throughout the centuries
The postal stamp is very much alive.
The price of the first stamp was one cent.
But today, it would cost forty-four
And with so many rate hikes in between,
I am very sure that there will be more.
And as long as there is mail to send,
The postal stamp will never come to end.

In America
Only in America
We're slaves to be free
Only in America we kill the unborn
To make ends meet
Only in America
Sexuality is democracy
Only in America we stamp our god
"In God We Trust"
What is right or wrong
I don't know who to believe in
My soul sings a different song
In America
What is right or wrong
I don't know who to believe in
My soul sings a different song
In America

As I was walking
As I was walking,
Thyme sweet to my nose,
Green grasshoppers talking,
Rose rivalling rose:
And wing, like amber,
Dispread in light,
As from bush to bush
Linnet took flight:
Master Rabbit I saw
In the shadow-rimmed mouth
Of his sandy cavern,
Looking out to the South.
'Twas dew-tide coming;
The turf was sweet
To nostril, curved tooth,
And wool-soft feet.
Sun was in West;
Crystal in beam
Of its golden shower
Did his round eye gleam.
Lank human was I,
And a foe, poor soul—
Snowy flit of a scut,
He was into his hole,
And—stamp, stamp, stamp!
Through dim labyrinths clear,
The whole world darkened,
A murderer near.

A person who taught us
non-violence gets punches everyday,
Stamp punching in post office!

Abraham Lincoln because he was a man filled with great compassion who believed that all men are created free and equal, and was not afraid to stand on that platform. The way Lincoln lived his life has served me well in mine.

America
(Francis Scott Key)
Oh, say, can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched were so
Gallantly streaming?
America, America, America
America, America, America
And the rocket's red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
Oh, say, does that star
Spangled banner yet wave
Over the land of the free
And the home of the brave!
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America
ooohhh

Step On
Hes gonna step on you again, hes gonna step on you
Hes gonna step on you again, hes gonna step on you
Youre twistin my melon man, you know you talk so hip man
Youre twistin my melon man
Hey rainmaker, come away from that man
You know hes gonna take away your promised land
Hey good lady he just wants what you got you know
Hell never stop until hes taken the lot
(hey hey he hey hey)
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Dont you know he can make you forget youre a man
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Dont you know he can make you forget youre the man
Youre a man
Youre twistin my melon man, you speak so hip
Hey rainmaker he got golden plans I tell you
Youll make a stranger in your own land
Hey good lady hes got God on his side he got a double
Tongue you never think he would lie
(oh he lied, oooh hes twistin my melon man
(oh he lied, oooh hes twistin my melon man)
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Dont you know he can make you forget youre a man
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Dont you know he can make you forget youre the man
Youre the man
Hes gonna step on you again, hes gonna step on you
Hes gonna step on you again, hes gonna step on you
Hey rainmaker, come away from that man
You know hes gonna take away your promised land
Hey good lady hes got God on his side he got a double
Tongue you never think he would lie
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Dont you know he can make you forget youre a man
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Dont you know he can make you forget youre the man
Youre the man
Youre twistin my melon man, you know you talk so hip man

I Gave My Love A Diamond
I gave my love a diamond, a ten cent stone,
I gave her lonely teardrops and nights alone.
I gave my love a promise that had no truth,
What good is a promise without no truth ?
I gave my love a fortune in silver and gold,
I gave it to her lie by lie by lie by lie that I had told.
I gave my love a story that had no end,
What good is a story thats got no end ? tell me.
I wrote her that wed get married in about one years time.
I wrote her in a boxcar on the memphis line.
I sent my love a letter without no stamp - ha!
And what good is a letter without no stamp ?
Goodbye baby,
Im feelin so alone Im movin on.
I aint got no tall tale.
Dont call me - Ill call you.
See ya.
