I Got Stung

Holy smokes land sakes alive I never thought this would happen to me
Ah-ha, yeah, ah-ha yeah
I got stung by a sweet honey bee
What a feelin came over me
Well it started in my eyes, crept up to my head
Flew into my arms, til I was stung dead
Im done, ah-ha, I got stung
Hum ah-ha, yeah ah-ha, yeah
She had all that I wanted and more
Ive never seen honey bees before
Well she started through my ears, buzzing in my brain
Got stung all over but I feel no pain
Im done, ah-ha, I got stung
Well dont think Im complainin
Because Im might pleased that we met
cause you gimme just one little peck on the back of my neck
And I break out in a cold cold sweat
If I live to a hundred and two
I wont let nobody sting me but you
Ill be buzzin round your hive
Evry day at five and Im never gonna leave once I arrive
Im done, ah-ha, I got stung
I got stung yeah, I got stung yeah
Well dont think Im complainin
Cause Im might pleased that we met
cause you gimme just one little peck on the back of my neck
And I break out in a cold cold sweat
If I live to a hundred and two

The splendour in the elephant..
the splendour in a king;

the splendour in the human race;
the splendour of the rain, the seas;

the splendour which is God in gods;
with that same splendour, make me splendid, Lord..

Stung By A Bee

Stung by a bee,
I did not scream,
Thumb hurt but I held it in.
I ran to my dad to tell I was stung,
He put ice on it, my thumb felt numb.
See, a couple minutes before in backyard,
I try to capture bee with no regard.
I was just copying what they did on Gilligan’s Island,
I thought I could do it and keep smiling.
Now you heard the saying,
Never try this thing at home,
I never saw it, and I brave things alone.

Maybe I

You were right
You came over me
What'd never been before
You slid under my door and now I find
A Reason to admit I've been too lazy
But in this light
In this atmosphere
I'm starting to believe
The other side of me but who's to know
Honey... surely one of us is crazy
Maybe I... I'm not so easily stung
Maybe I... I got some love for someone
Maybe I... I'm not the story for you
Maybe I... I'll be the do you ought to do
So now I stand
I never stood before
What's better left unsaid is done, buried and dead and you're alive
Girl I think you might just stay the night
Maybe I... I'm not so easily stung
Maybe I... I got some love for someone
Maybe I... I'll write a story for you
Maybe I... I'll be the do you ought to do
I'm not trying to take it easy
I'm not trying to help you see
I'm not trying to take us over
I'm just trying to believe
Maybe I... I'm not so easily stung
Maybe I... I got some love for someone
Maybe I... I'm just the story for you
Maybe I... I'll be the do you ought to do
Maybe I... I'm not the one for your love
Maybe I... I'll be your heaven above
Maybe I... I'll write a story for two
Maybe I... I'll be the do that you do

My Tower Is Splendid

My favourite height gains splendour;
Onto the tower we climb, for our splendour.
This is the love of my time,
Your guardian felt stubborn on this day;
You must fly out onto other roofs,
Living in the air forming like a balloon
For art is the exact practice of an achiever.
My significant tower looms high over the populace
Like designers and collectors of art also subjugate.
My splendour is unmatched, noone can touch my perfection.

Go to Work!

Go to the score, go to work,
While my feet arouse the comfort
By sitting down, by lying down
And resting.
When do roads build a future?
And when does rest happen to unrest
On the world’s shoulder?
On this part of the body we raise a doubt
Of sudden thought, of a blind attack
On the rest of the world we live in.
This score is leaving its mark
On the real right world.
Go to the end of this world to deliver
Its message as a rainbow does
With splendour.
Go to work on this day!

You Don't

Other people think through things!
But...
You don't.
And many learn not to repeat what stings!
But...
You don't.
Some refuse to be stung to run!
But...
You don't.
But,
You don't...
Seem to learn or be concerned.
By what's been done.
All you do is show a wound,
You have earned that comes.

Other people think through things!
But...
You don't.
And many learn not to repeat what stings!
But...
You don't.
Some refuse to be stung to run!
But...
You don't.
But,
You don't...
You rather moan and goan,
With a volume loudly heard and turned on!

'It's difficult to give a patience,
To those transfixed into receiving adulation.
Is it possible to get another assignment, please?
One that doesn't have me pleading on my knees.'

~I agree!
It's true.
I'm with you.
Some people 'just-don't-get-it'!
But...
You do what needs to be done.
Only one mission given.
And you've got yours to do, My Son! ~

Other people think through things!
But...
You don't.
And many learn not to repeat what stings!
But...
You don't.
Some refuse to be stung to run!
But...
You don't.
But,

All Of A Sudden

(andy partridge)
What can i say?
Why do we starve a thing thats near extinction?
From day to day,
These weeds of fear,
Are choking our conviction,
Life's like a jig-saw,
You get the straight bits,
But there's something missing in the middle.
All of a sudden,
We find the cupboard's bare.
All of a sudden,
We find heaven's not there.
All of a sudden,
We find the sun's gone cold.
All of a sudden
We find we're more than old.
All of a sudden,
We find that we've lost love,
So please don't push or shove because,
It's too late,
It's too late,
In all your hurry you've accidentally locked the gate
What can we do?
Trying to stem the flow of sand is useless.
It's up to you start holding hands,
And watch the balance redress,
Life's like a firework,
You're only lit once,
And you must stand and radiate correctly.
All of a sudden,
We find the cupboard's bare.
All of a sudden,
We find heaven's not there.
All of a sudden,
We find the sun's gone cold.
All of a sudden
We find we're more than old.
All of a sudden,
We find that we've lost love,
So please don't push or shove because,
It's too late,
It's too late,
In all your hurry you've accidentally locked the gate
Love's not a product you can hoard or pack a suitcase with,
It's more a way you have to give.
All of a sudden,
We find the cupboard's bare.
All of a sudden,
We find heaven's not there.
All of a sudden,
We find the sun's gone cold.
All of a sudden
We find we're more than old.
All of a sudden,
We find that we've lost love,
So please don't push or shove because,

It's too late,
In all your hurry you've accidentally locked the gate your hurry you've accidentally locked the gate.

The Splendour And The Curse Of Song

Methought the unknown God we seek in vain
Grew weary of the evil He had wrought—
The piteous litanies of human pain—
Till here and there some lonely souls He sought
To bear the message of Immortal Thought,
And sent them forth to wander ’midst the throng
Crowned with the splendour and the curse of Song.
But that which still was kindred to the stars
Fought with the flesh and moaned within its cell,
And beat its wings against its prison bars.
Thus, soaring oft to heights sublime, they fell,
Dragged by the flesh into the gulfs of hell;
Till all their days were as a tumult long
Between the splendour and the curse of Song.

Yet often ’mid the fever of distress
Some singer’s lips would chant so sweet a strain
That storm-tossed souls forgot their weariness,
And comfort crept about the bed of pain,
And men took heart and dreamt of heaven again;
And to the weak came hope and courage strong
Born of the beauty and the balm of Song.

But Life was bitter to the lips that sung;
And heavier on those souls the curse did grow
Who strove to speak to men an unknown tongue,
And mournfully their hearts did weigh and know
The measure of the whole world’s cruel woe,
And wearily they fared Time’s path along
Vexed by the splendour and the curse of Song.

Theirs was the homeless hunger of the heart—
Immortal thought within a mortal breast,
Listless they wandered through the crowded mart,
Who to a careless world had given their best;
And when Death lulled them with his wings to rest
What reeked they where they slumbered calm and strong
Crowned with the splendour of Immortal Song?

These Are Desperate Times For You, Aren't They?

If,
I were fed pigeon...
Would I then have pigeon vision?

If I were a duck,
After being plucked...
Would I then run out of luck?

And if I had an oink,
But a sheep I thought myself to be.
Would I want my pork chops fried...
Knowing a pig was meant to be my destiny.

And if I sneezed by a bee...
Will that bee that buzzed believe,
What I did was dumb...
To deserve a stinging,
Stung done that comes.

And if I had an oink,
But a sheep I thought myself to be...
Ooo ooo weeee.
Would that bee that did the stinging,
Wish it had hooves...
And,
Kicked me in the knee!

'These are desperate times for you,
Aren't they? '

Why do you say that?

'Your stimulus package,
Seems to lack stimuli.
And...
I am concerned for your well being.'

So Fresh Are These Days of Awareness That Come

Fresh are these days of awareness.
The spicing done to fantasies,
Seem totally ridiculous.
Escaping exits to explore escapades...
Are closing down in minds,
For those who had found themselves entwined!

Oh,
So fresh are these days of awareness that come.
A stinging stung that's felt,
Nearly by everyone.

And those who sing the blues,
Had other choices...
But they refused.
Deciding to keep their minds completely fixed.
To a way of life,
With standards and values today quickly nixed.
Wishing now they had kept things simple.
But consumed they are with bitterness.
With others like them...
Who have been deceived and tricked!

Oh,
So fresh are these days of awareness that come.
A stinging stung that's felt,
Nearly by everyone.
The spicing done to fantasies,
Seem totally ridiculous.
Escaping exits to explore escapades...
Are closing down in minds,
For those who had found themselves entwined!

And a whistling is heard!
Coming from those who kept their eyes opened.
Observing reality for what it is!

Now they watch those disturbed.
Those who sit stubbornly...
With hopes their delusions maintained,
Will someday again...
With the aid of false prayer,
By them who dare...
To display a sudden faith.
Be served to end the reality of their heartache.

But where were they...
When the earth began to shake?
To awaken those from their sleep.

Makemkov's Muse.

Makemkov had a sudden
Thought while sitting on his bed,
Having a smoke, gazing out
Of the window at the new

Apartments across the way,
Where some young dame was slipping
Into something light and cool,
Unknowing that he gazed like this

On other days, the thought he
Had disturbed the sexy sight,
The image becoming blurred
Into another lustful

Smudge, he was going to be
Dead one day, the thought revealed,
Unclean or not so, he did
Not know, but die he would, he

Neither grand nor good, his death
Would come as all deaths came, each
With its owner's borrowed name.

The Fugitive Ideal

As some most pure and noble face,
Seen in the thronged and hurrying street,
Sheds o'er the world a sudden grace,
A flying odour sweet,
Then, passing, leaves the cheated sense
Baulked with a phantom excellence;

So, on our soul the visions rise
Of that fair life we never led:
They flash a splendour past our eyes,
We start, and they are fled:
They pass, and leave us with blank gaze,
Resigned to our ignoble days.

Death Of Music

An instrument of music is the same as death,
End up this way please, the music is certain to be.
The death of a person accuses one of the crime
Too far away, and so near to your soul.

The musical ability that doctors care for in their garden,
Is like the birds of heavenly splendour, the splendour.
The orchestra is alive for far too long a life,
Certain competing foes accuse the rich to be disobedient.

The Duellists

He threw down a glove you made the mistake
Of picking it up now youre gone
The choosing of guns or fighting with swords
The choice of weapons is done
Hell tear you apart as soon as you start
You know you dont have a chance.
Chorus
Oh...oh...fight for the honour
Fight for the splendour
Fight for the pleasure
Oh...oh...fight for the honour
Fight for the splendour
Fight for your life!
Ready to start the duel begins the best man wins in the end.
A lunge and a feint, a parry too late
A cut to the chest and youre down
Seeing the stain then feeling the pain
Feeling the sweat on your brow.
Chorus
The fighting resumes, a silence looms the swordsmen move gainst each
Other
A cut and a thrust, a parry, a blow, a stab to the heart and youre down
The angel of death hears your last breath
Meanwhile the reaper looks on.

Oh...oh...fought the honour
Fought for the splendour
Fought for the pleasure
Oh...oh...fought for the honour
Fought for the splendour
Fought to the death

Arab Songs

I. THE PARROT AND THE FALCON
MY Afghan poet-friend
With this made his message end,
'The scroll around my wall shows two the poets have known
The parrot and falcon they
The parrot hangs on his spray,
And silent the falcon sits with brooding and baleful eyes.

Men come to me : one says
'We have given your verses praise,
And we will keep your name abreast of the newer names;
But you must make what accords
With poems that are household words
Your own: write familiar things; to your hundred add a score.'

My friend, they would bestow
Fame for a shadow-show,
And they would pay with praise for things dead as last year's leaves.
But I look where the parrot, stilled,
Hangs a head with rumours filled,
And I watch where my falcon turns her brooding and baleful eyes!

Come to my shoulder! Sit!
To the bone be your talons knit!
I have sworn my friends shall have no parrot-speech from me;
Who reads the verse I write
Shall know the falcon's flight,
The vision single and sure, the conquest of air and sun!
Is there aught else worthy to weave within your banners' folds?
Is there aught else worthy to grave on the blades of your naked swords?'

II. UMIMAH
Saadi, the Poet, stood up and he put forth his living words;
His songs were the hurtling of spears, and his figures the flashing of swords'
With hearts dilated the tribe saw the creature of Saadi's mind:
It was like to the horse of a king a creature of fire and of wind!

Umimah, my loved one, was by me; without love did these eyes see my fawn,
And if fire there were in her being, for me its splendour was gone:
When the sun storms up on the tent it makes waste the fire of the grass:
It was thus with my loved one's beauty the splendour of song made it pass!

The desert, the march, and the onset these, and these only avail;
Hands hard with the handling of spear-shafts, brows white with the press of the mail'
And as for the kisses of women these are honey, the poet sings,
But the honey of kisses, beloved it is lime for the spirit's wings!

III. THE GADFLY
Ye know not why God hath joined the horse-fly unto the horse,
Nor why the generous steed should be yoked with the poisonous fly:
Lest the steed should sink into ease and lose his fervour of limb,
God hath bestowed on him this a lustful and venomous bride!

Never supine lie they, the steeds of our folk, to the sting,
Praying for deadness of nerve with wounds the shame of the sun:
They strive, but they strive for this the fullness of passionate nerve;
They pant, but they pant for this the speed that outstrips the pain!

Sons of the Dust, ye have stung there is darkness upon my soul!
Sons of the Dust, ye have stung yea, stung to the roots of my heart!
But I have said in my breast the birth succeeds to the pang,
And, Sons of the Dust, behold your malice becomes my song!
