Kept In the Presence
You are kept in the presence,
Of someone special.
Someone accessible.
And focused on your needs.
You do not have to feel,
What you give is not observed.
Everything you do has meaning.
And attention given,
You deserve.
You are kept in the presence,
Of someone special.
Someone accessible.
And focused on your needs.
Someone who feels,
You to be equally appealing.
Someone who sees you,
And bestows the highest priority.
You need not worry about that cart you push,
Filled with cans.
Those storage plastic bags you drag.
Is a testimony!
Do not ever let that make you sad!
You need not concern yourself,
About your disheveled looks.
It's already known...
Your best is at your command.
And the strength you have...
You did not get from books.
But it is there and it is felt...
In the friendship that is there,
By the firmness grasped...
Upon shaking your hand.
So without judgement passed.
A 'divinity' you have.
And it is yours to last!
This 'divinity of ministry'
Is yours to last.
You are kept in the presence.
Others see you as a peasant,
Since their needs are to impress.
But you are kept in the presence.
And those who know it,
Know you're blessed.
You are kept in the presence.
Others see you as a peasant,
Since their needs are to impress.
But you are kept in the presence.
And those who know it,
Know you're blessed.
You are kept in the presence.
Others see you as a peasant,
Since their needs are to impress.
But you are kept in the presence.
And those who know it,
Know you're blessed.

I Keep Focused
Whether I am on your list...
Or do not make an appearance at all.
Guest what?
Not a footprint on this path I have made,
Belongs to anyone else....
Who can claim a doing with little assistance.
I keep focused!
And guest what...?
You can compare me to anyone you please.
But I have never been impressed,
By your ability to stretch an imagination.
Why?
I keep focused!
And I try...
To stay focused.
And I choose not to guess how or when...
You have managed to do what you've done,
Without sweat or eyes dried,
As if a tear you have never cried.
Why?
I keep focused!
And I try...
To stay focused.
But I do believe the path you have chosen,
Has been repaved over so many times,
As to accomodate those who have found their way to go...
Much easier than the one I pioneered.
And I know it shows,
I am focused.
And I try...
To stay focused.
Yes I try...
To stay focused.
Whether I am on your list...
Or do not make an appearance at all.
Guest what?
Not a footprint on this path I have made,
Belongs to anyone else....
Who can claim a doing with little assistance.
I've updated and changed my list of preferenced wishes,
So many times...
I might have even been on the top of your list,
But...
Having a mind like this with desires to exist,
And improve what I do...
I keep focused.
With that in my mind,
That's kept...
Noticed.
With a leaving behind...
Those provoking others with their jokes!
To keep me...
Focused.

Obsession
Important things that I should do
I tend to forget about.
I'm so engrossed in music and word.
These I can't do without.
I try to remain focused on paying bills
and returning calls I get.
But I'm overpowered by sounds I hear.
And eventually I'm upset.
Why this preoccupation so strong
has overtaken my mind
has me in a quandary now.
The solution's hard to find.
Can't give up writing one day.
For it's like breathing to me.
And so I pay the late fees that accrue
and admit that I must be
obsessed.

We're focused on doing the things that make the economy perform well, and as you do that, reduce deficits, for one, very important; secondly, keep growth rates high, very important.

A great deal has been accomplished by the team, and I do think it important that it goes on and it is allowed to reach its full conclusion. In fact, I really believe it ought to be better resourced and totally focused on WMD; that that is important to do it.
In His Presence
Kneeling at the foot of the Cross
I focused my mind on Jesus
In silence, I said a prayer
That His presence will come in this place
The raging storm that i felt inside
He has changed it to a calm deep blue sea
A vision of a flowing water from a fall
Just like the whispers in the wind..
it gently sooth my mind in peace

You must remain focused on your journey to greatness.
Focused Upon The Wax
An entertained mind seeking to get it easy...
And with a breeze,
Can not be expected to think of life...
As a blessing to accept.
And...
To be taken seriously.
Only when a candle begins to flicker,
Does the wax with the wick burning in it...
Become regarded as important.
But...
In the beginning,
When the freshness of the glow...
Seems to bestow imaginations that go on forever,
Who remains focused upon the wax and its melting?
Not too many.
Just the light and all that sparkles,
With an identifying meaning...
Is wished to linger.

Its my direction
Its my proposal
Its so hard
Its leading me astray
My obsession
Its my creation
Youll understand
Its not important now
********in conversation
********in combination
********i tell the truth
********my feelings still remain
All I need is
Co-ordination
I cant imagine
My destination
My intention
Ask my opinion
But no excuse
My feelings still remain

Beauty
Beauty is something
that the eye can see
that still lingers
in the mind,
long after its presence is gone
and still one can find it
in unconcrete things
like honour, passion and love
which have the ability
to remain great.

We never really felt a real level of respect. The fame was fantastic, but that wasn't that important to me, because for every million people that loved me I focused on the one that hated me.

Insomnia
Laying quietly in the dark
Alone in bed on my right side
Listening to the tinnitus
In my ear, praying sleep will come;
Not that I have obligations
To meet in the early morning;
I am an old retired dude
With a lot of time on my hands
But damn it to hell, I need sleep.
I try composing poetry
But my wandering tired mind
Can not remain focused for long
So I turnover my left side
And begin all over again.

I just get focused on whatever is in front of me. When I was filming Crossroads, it had all my focus. Now I'm all focused on finishing my recording so I can get that out. It's just day by day.

A shadow from my past
i wonder if details matter,
it happened so long ago,
is it really important?
do i really need to know,
who and why?
you a shadow from the past,
but you haunt my mind,
just knowing part of what you did,
makes me wonder why i trusted you,
i begged not to see you,
but my begging wasn't strong enough,
not without a reason why,
so i continue to be abused,
i was scared of you,
is that the reason you remain,
being a shadow in my thoughts?
i blocked you out,
just like the pain,
no longer have a face,
but yet you remain a mystery,
in my past,
i'm starting to think,
it should be where you stay,
no need to open a can of worms,
that don't need to be open,
for me to understand the whole story.

Whose Truth Is Reality?
Whose truth is reality?
And why are the many eyes focused upon it,
Seeing reality quite differently?
With many refusing,
To believe in any of it at all.
It is odd how those say they do know God exist.
With bragging rights about their religious affiliations.
But ask one of them,
When was it they stepped out of their way...
Based solely on their faith?
Do you get a look in return that offends?
Or...
Do you get a sermon to hear,
With scriptures quoted...
To make their beliefs understood.
And for some reason...
Their carrying a Bible should make that clear?
And that question you had asked,
Goes unanswered.
As an excuse is made,
To leave from your presence...
As fast as they came.
And under their breath you are called a name.
People are not up to that task.
Disguising 'your' reality...
They prefer to hide,
Behind 'their' masks!
Whose truth is reality?
Really?
And why are the many eyes focused upon it,
Seeing reality quite differently?
With many refusing,
To believe in any of it at all.

Well, you know, I think in conversations with members of the Senate and others, they all recognize that the issue of immigration is important. It's important to our nation, it's important to our public safety, it's important to our security, it's important to our economic well-being moving forward. And it's not something that's going to go away.

To be important, …
Importance is not goodness.
It is a quality entailing
Attention or recognition.
It’s important to respect;
It’s important to serve;
It’s important not to hurt.
Anyone who is not important
By breed, wealth or rank
Can become important thus.
