Real victories are those that protect human life, not those that result from its destruction or emerge from its ashes.

Protect Me From What I Want

Its that desease of the age
Its that desease that we crave
Alone at the end of the race
We catch the last bus home
Corporate america wakes
Coffee republic in case
We open the latch on the gate
Of the hole that we call our home
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me
Maybe were victims of fate
Remember when wed celebrate
Wed drink and get high until late
And now were all alone
Wedding bells aint gonna chime
With both of us guilty of crime
And both of us sentenced to time
And now were all alone
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me

What You Already Own

I give you my heart broken and bruised
It's still beating strong and wanting to trust you
I know I'm unfaithful
I know I do wrong
Do you protect what you already own?
I give you my body
Naked and meek
Burning with passion
Human and weak
What You Already Own
...as sung by Amy Grant
I try to be faithful
then I go wrong
Can you protect what you already own?
Can you protect what you already own?
I know I'm unfaithful
I know I do wrong
Do you protect what you already own?
I give you my life
Precious and rare
Knowing wherever I've been, you were there
Sometimes I'm faithful
Sometimes I'm strong
Will you protect what you already own?
I will be faithful
Help me be strong
'Cause you will protect what you already own
You still protect what you already own

We Have To Find...

we have to find,
that which is real in our lives...
that which is of real value.
we seek eternity, but it is in
those moments we are most human
that we experience it.
we would seek god,
but god is not lost...
god appears to us in chance encounters,
in moments that we have the chance to be human,
when we have the chance to listen,
and so help bring change.
even our failures are victories
if our intent is compassion.
our legacy then becomes the hand extended,
the simple act of caring...
and our wealth that which we've given.....
that which we seek to find is already there!

From The Ashes

From The Ashes

Realities of the nightmare
freedom threatened by corruption
smoke rising from the ashes
two towers total destruction

fight for freedom
From The Ashes
fight for freedom
From The Ashes

join together and fihgt the tyrany
a world united as one
feel the wrath of the phoenix
nowhere to hide nowhere to run

rising from the ashes a world united as one
on September 11th the Phoenix was awoken

The day of my destruction

Shall the day
that my destruction comes
and I perish without income,
be the day
of my new beginning?

Shall what was clear to me in dreams
become my reality
and become the day of my beckoning,
and turn into the day of my reaping?

Shall the day of my destruction,
be the day of my awakening,
when I get new wings
and rise up from the ashes
around me?

A Soul Dies

Sky overcast, moon was sad.
Ashes were sent to the lake.

Who killed the bird in morning rain?
Ashes were sent to the lake.

A hidden slaughterman did not die.
Ashes were sent to the lake.

The good old name now spells the doom.
Ashes were sent to the lake.

I will call you in pitch-dark night.
Ashes were sent to the lake.

Ascending gods have ruined my life.
Ashes were sent to the lake.

A child was stolen from a mother’s bed.
Ashes were sent to the lake.

Las Palabras De Amor

Guilt stains on my pillow
Blood on ny terraces
Torsos in my closet
Shadows from my past live is real
Life is real, life is real, so real
Sleeping is my leisure
Waking up in a minefield
Dream is just a pleasure dome
Love is a roulette wheel - life is real
Life is real, life is real, oh yeah
Success is my breathing space
I brought it on myself
I will price it
I will cash it
I can take it or leave it
Loneliness is my hiding place
Breastfeeding myself
What more can I say
I have swallowed the bitter pill
I can taste it, I can taste it
Life is real, life is real, life is real
Music will be my mistres
Loving like a whore
Lennon is a genius
Living in every pore
Life is real, life is real, life is real, so real
Life is cruel
Life is a bitch
Life is real - so real

Thunderbolt

I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt staying bold.

I'm the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

You may decide to run and hide.
But I've learned throughout my life...
Those who run let life slip by,
And cry in denial.
Setting themselves up...
For struggles and trials.

When I was young I was often hushed,
I would question too much.
With unedited questions asked.
To connect in my mind to grasp.

I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
And with a boldness I still hold.

When I was young I was often hushed,
I would question too much.
With unedited questions asked.
To connect in my mind to grasp.

Zip zap crack with answers due.
Answer my questions asked of you!

I'm the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

Zip zap crack with answers due.
Answer my questions asked of you!
I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

There were no shoulders for me to hold.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
There were no shoulders for me to hold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.

There were no shoulders with warm holds.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.

I might have been precocious!
But not braggadocious.

I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.

A highly valuable chain of thoughts

HAD cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn,
No man would be a funker
Of whin, or burn, or bunker.
There were no need for mashies,
The turf would ne'er be torn,
Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn.

Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn,
The big trout would not ever
Escape into the river.
No gut the salmon smashes
Would leave us all forlorn,
Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn.

But 'tis an unideal
Sad world in which we're born,
And things will 'go contrairy'
With Martin and with Mary:
And every day the real
Comes bleakly in with morn,
And cigarettes have ashes,
And every rose a thorn.

Real Life

Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Stop me if you've heard this
It's the one about the King
Who's married to the princess
That brings good use to wear his ring

She's tired and she's lonely
Cause she's sittin there at home
He's out there with his buddies
And you know what they are doin

Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life

Stop me if you've heard this
Yeah the one about the boy
That's wasting all his money
Buying nasty little toys

He Thinks the girlies love it
But this ain't no fairytale
They just want what's in his wallet
Don't pass go just go to jail

Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life

You're never gonna change a thing
So just stop flappin
You're never gonna do with what you cannot see

Mmm bop

The mystery and the misery of a phoenix

We saw a beautiful bird flew from a stream;
Just a moment ago she was drenched in ashes,
Because she was formed from ashes and wind-
Ashes that resulted from the sacrifice of her parent.

Her aged mother fed up with life, set herself ablaze;
After several years in planet earth she'll have to go;
She needed a companion but nature denied her one;
She could only have one after she's turned to ashes.

Today

I woke up this morning
feeling better than I’ve been
with a positive feeling
flowing through me.
I could feel a new page
was about to turn in my life,
a new chapter in my life
was about to unfold.
All the negativity was draining away,
a new and better person
was about to emerge in me.
What sparked this change
is really hard to say,
only that I know my life
is going to get even better from today.
Some remnants of my past will always remain;
the good within me will never change.
I will still be there for others
whenever their needs arise,
but for me as a person
I feel great changes ahead.
The guilt that repressed me
from doing things is gone.
The inner strength of convictions
is flowing stronger into me;
it’s as if new life
is pumping through my veins.
My failures of yesterday
will be my victories of tomorrow
as I feel positivity charging
every part of me today.

Let's Protect Them

Those animals who are so badly abused,
Please everyone, let's protect them;
For those scared puppies and kittens confused,
Let's all agree, and really protect them.

For those poor whales swimming and are caught,
Let's please, stick with me to protect them;
To stop the cruelty to them, for their bodies are they bought,
Yes'. Please every one, agree to protect them.

For those seals so far away, of whom are killed,
Please everyone do try with me to protect them;
To stop the cruelty of how their blood is spilt,
Please most certainly agree to protect them.

For the bears and cubs, locked in chains,
Let's all agree to really go to protect them;
The cruel owners, and no one explains,
Let's try all, to get help to protect them.

For the dogs and cats, away in a farm,
Lets each one say no, but protect them;
Each time we hear of this cruelty, ring the alarm,
Then agree everybody, yes! We will protect them.

Ashes

it took ashes...
for me to draw
a picture of your living
in black and white...

yet containing all
the colors of your being...

it took ashes...
for me to lay down
all my wants and desires,
and the fear of losing you...

it took ashes...
for me to quit pretending
that this kingdom
is invincible...
and this island will remain...

it took ashes...
for me to taste
death's lips and
still surrender to
each naked tick of living...

it took ashes...
for me to be
honest with myself...
to let go of the reins,
and stand free

on the shore of tomorrow!

it took ashes...

The Start

Today I start my life for good;
I am determined now to find
The value of my real manhood;
And not to travel as if blind.
am yet young in age and hope;
I shall so think and do aright,
Things human, and, all in my scope,
To make of life a shining light.
There shall be no mistake in plan,
For time does not permit to lose,
And win again, the race of man;
Hence, now I start, and rightly choose.
I shall not travel wild to find
That I have fallen almost flat,
Then rise to weep and leave behind
That I a coward was for that.
So find yourself in early age,
To know what you shall be in life;
Then go and write on hist'ry's page
The victories of your daily strife;
For every man is battling you,
To cross the plain, with haste to win-
And hoist the flag in colors blue-
Then show the world where he has been

Protection

We don't need protection from terrorists anymore.
What we protection from is never-ending war.
Protect us from the propaganda.
Proect us from the lies.
Protect us from the legislation
set up to tyrannize.
Protect us from the vaccines
that cause more harm than good.
Protect us from the violence
that comes from Hollywood.
Protect us from injustice
emanating from the courts.
Protect our kids from drug enhancements
while they're playing sports.
Protect us from illegals taking all our jobs.
Protect us from the gangs and all the angry mobs.
Protect us from the wealthy who never have enough.
The terrorists are not coming.
It's time to call their bluff.

We don't need protection from terrorists anymore.
What we need protection from is right within our shore.

My Dream Will Come True

Last night I had a terrible dream,
A nightmare, which made me squirm and scream,
How did this horror make me feel,
Extremely worried the content was real.

I'm an arms dealer I make weapons of woe,
There is death and destruction wherever I go,
Do I care about war, do I hell,
I don't use the arms all I do is sell.

It's in my best interests that you start a fight,
I don't care a damn about who's wrong or right,
In my sick mind it is well instilled,
It's not my fault so many get killed.

My biggest customers are the politicians,
They never fight but they'll send you on missions,
Though it's with your liberty they are empowered,
Every one of them is a bloody coward.

The Human conscience can do terrible things,
We think of the killing and the misery it brings,
But leave that to us and very soon you will see,
You won't need human beings to set others free.

Hand to hand combat can be terribly queasy,
Watching them die is not always that easy,
Eye to eye killing in your mind remains fresh,
You feel their pain as you open their flesh.

As technology advances we build pilotless planes,
Destroying everything over vast terrains,
No need to watch the damage being done,
Like a computer game it's killing for fun.

This is the beginning of a new ideal,
You won't know who's dying you won't think it's real,
Death without conscience now that's really clever,
No guilt to feel, not now not ever.

You won't feel a thing although millions still die,
No need to grieve no need to cry,
Wars were made to be fought this way,
Machines do the killing while I get my pay.

We'll leave structures standing they won't suffer strife,
Weapons that vapourise all types of life,
No more rebuilding when the war finally ends,
It's on people like me our future depends.

It's a wonderful concept the rules are so strict,
But wait somethings happened we didn't predict,
Our research didn't show the consequences,
Against the ability of our arms we had no defences.

For this new technology we just weren't ready,
Our theories on their power were really unsteady,
But regardless of that the war went ahead,
The result of that is all life is now dead.

Those buildings we saved are no longer required,
No future generations will ever be sired,
We only meant to cause a small ruction,
What we're responsible for is mass destruction.

Of their awesome capacity we took no account,
Their intricate problems we just couldn't surmount,
At no time did we ever give that a thought.
Now there's nobody left the worlds left distraught,

Our atomic ideal, which we hold so dear,
Will blow up in our face, that is perfectly clear,
If we don't learn now mass destruction will ensue,
Waken up now or,
