We must remember that North Carolina is more than a collection of regions and people. We are one state, one people, one family, bound by a common concern for each other.

Raised Up Family
I was raised up family
Man Im glad Im on my own
I was raised up family
Man Im glad Im on my own
I mean, God bless the child
That can learn to live alone, yeah
Thinking about about my cousin
What it was that did him in
Could it have been that whiskey
Rotgut, bootleg, bathtub gin
Its like it took a lot of liquor
Just to let him live in his own skin
Back in raleigh, north carolina
You got to ride it on back
In raleigh, north carolina
The ship set down on the shore
Of this uncharted desert island
Me and my people fanned out
I guess we settled down a little while
Ah, but the devil came with the dark days of winter
Man the children ran wild
I used to know why
No I dont know why anymore
I used to know why
No I dont know why no more
I get to wonder at the kundalini thunder
Down under my floor
You got to ride it on back
Take me back
Back in raleigh, north carolina
Yeah, do you wanna go
Way back in raleigh, north carolina

Corruption rampant
No body is there to serve the people.
Are the common people not necessary?
Are the common people burden of the state?
The act the law the rules the regulation
Are of no use for the common people.
The common people are in no way
connected with the main stream of the state.
Corruption rampant everywhere
No body bother about anything
No body bother about the state.

For you, the state is an entity with purposes of its own that the people can be required to serve. For us the word is only a label for the arrangements by which we the people delegate to some among us responsibility for things that concern us in common.

North Carolina's approach in crafting its law ensured the creation of the best possible law and, consequently, North Carolina is now the acknowledged leader in addressing predatory lending.
This is an area where North Carolina does excel. I have known more colorful North Carolina political figures than I have colorless ones.

I'm always happy to have the President visit North Carolina. Unfortunately, the citizens of North Carolina who could be most adversely affected by the President's plan have not been invited to the discussion.
Within Cliques of Gossips
There are those programmed and convinced...
People they assumed they knew,
With conversations had with others...
Family, friends and a collection of a chosen few,
Were people that they knew.
But when asked, none had close talks...
With the one claimed known.
And the one claimed known...
Had not a clue as to what was going on.
Other than the usual assumptions that take place,
Within cliques of gossips.
There are those who have created,
Lifestyles of others in their minds.
With sexual preferences believed known discussed.
With the goings on in the privacy of their homes,
And with whom they lust.
There are those programmed and self convinced...
People they assumed they knew,
With conversations had with others...
Family, friends and a collection of a chosen few,
Were people that they knew.
Until they got the opportunity to meet them.
And then became quite upset...
That those they met,
Were quite different...
Than the people they had kept in their minds.
Only to find themselves,
Living too confined and behind fast times.
To leave a narrow perception of life,
Left to go unaddressed.

Breathe Carolina
Breathe Carolina
By: Jean Pullman
You’ve been letting people tell you who you are
But you can’t let them control you
You are my life and my soul
I know you better than anyone else
CHORUS
You’ve got to breathe Carolina
Stop stressing yourself too much
You’ve got to breathe Carolina
Before you turn into dust
Just breathe Carolina
(whisper) Breathe Carolina
Now your in the crying
You don’t know why you’re there
You don’t know who you are
You feel like you’ve given the control up to them
The real Carolina soon will die
So hurry up and
CHORUS
You’ve got to breathe Carolina
Stop stressing yourself too much
You’ve got to breathe Carolina
Before you turn into dust
Just breathe Carolina
(whisper) Breathe Carolina
Now your back and your ready for the world
You feel like a whole new person
No one can tell you what to do
The choice is yours
All you had to do was
CHORUS
You’ve got to breathe Carolina
Stop stressing yourself too much
You’ve got to breathe Carolina
Before you turn into dust
Just breathe Carolina
(whisper) Breathe Carolina

This is not a family
This is not a family...
No not to me... a family is people who are there for you they are the people that you trust to make sure your okay they are the people that believe in you and they are the people who will never lie to you and always be honest
This is not a family...
For a family its pretty sad to think we treat one another as nothing talk to eachother as if we dont care for one another and backstab and walk on one another because we can
This is not a family...
I use to think i had it good till i grew up and relized family shouldnt bring eachother down... family shouldnt make you cry... family shouldnt make you think you will be nothing and stay nothing for....
This is not a family...
Instead its just a sad excuse of people who put up with eachother not because they want to but because they have to... for this family that i have i hope that all of you will soon relize before its too late that i love my family... and i believe in my family... and that even though my household is not right at all... i know that i will become something... not because you make me think i cant... its because i believe in myself and with that i know i will someday do great things...
FOR this is not a family...
but it is my family

Collection
Collection, ten, net, on, no, ton, not, colt, cot, tell, line, tin;
But evil appears out of the North! !
Collection, ion, toll, Cole, Lot, lot, let, cone, cell, in, cine;
The prophets prophesy falsely to gain their wealth! !
And the preachers bear rule by their own authority;
But the people around do love it so.

The People's World
people are good;
people are bad;
people are happy;
people are sad;
people are near;
people are far;
people are true;
people are blue;
people are white;
people are right;
people are silent;
people are violent;
people can throw;
people can grow;
people can share;
people can care;
people can unite;
people can divide;
people can fool;
people can rule;
people can trust;
people are worst;
don't think i became mad.... what ever i wrote is very common things known about people but what i want to show is that i cannot describe everything about the people as it is impossible in the same way it is impossible to understand and make every person happy around us that's it.got it!

Carolina Mountain Dew
Somewhere in the mountains.........in northern Alabama
The Carolina lady waits for her man from Tennessee
Somewhere in a motel......out in Oklahoma
There's the Alabama dreamer
That same man from Tennessee
Sometime late at night......the lonely wakes her gently
And knocks at her door......but she won't give in
But like every other woman........She needs to feel wanted
She thinks of making love.......and goes to sleep again
Carolina.........dreamin' lonely
Carolina.........can't you see
You will always be the lady.....
That I dream of holding tight.....
That I kiss and tell goodnight.....
Carolina.......mountain dewe
Sometime that next day.....on a Mississippi freeway
The Alabama dreamer........is homeward bound
His conscious is as clear........as those green eyes of Carolina
And she's waiting with the baby from the love..............of the only man to
lay her down
Carolina..........dreaming lonely
Carolina..........can't you see
You will always be the lady
That I dream of holding tight
That I kiss and tell goodnight
Carolina......mountain dewe
Carolina..........I love you

Macdonough's Song
Whether the State can loose and bind
In Heaven as well as on Earth:
If it be wiser to kill mankind
Before or after the birth--
These are matters of high concern
Where State-kept schoolmen are;
But Holy State (we have lived to learn)
Endeth in Holy War.
Whether The People be led by The Lord,
Or lured by the loudest throat:
If it be quicker to die by the sword
Or cheaper to die by vote--
These are things we have dealt with once,
(And they will not rise from their grave)
For Holy People, however it runs,
Endeth in wholly Slave.
Whatsoever, for any cause,
Seeketh to take or give
Power above or beyond the Laws,
Suffer it not to live!
Holy State or Holy King--
Or Holy People's Will--
Have no truck with the senseless thing.
Order the guns and kill!
Saying --after--me:--
Once there was The People--Terror gave it birth;
Once there was The People and it made a Hell of Earth.
Earth arose and crushed it. Listen, O ye slain!
Once there was The People--it shall never be again!

Heads Carolina, Tails California
(tim nichols/mark d. sanders)
Baby, what do you say we just get lost?
Leave this one horse townlike two rebels without a cause.
I got people in boston.
Aint your daddy still in des moines?
We can pack up tomorrow.
Tonight, lets flip a coin
Heads, carolina tails, california.
Somewhere greener, somewhere warmer.
Up in the mountains, down by the ocean.
Where? it dont matter, as long as were goin
Somewhere together. Ive got a quarter.
Heads, carolina tails, california.
We can load what we own in the back of a u-haul van.
Couple modern day moses, searchin for the promised land.
We can go four hundred miles before we stop for gas.
We can drive for a day, and then well take a look at the map.
Heads, carolina tails, california.
Somewhere greener, somewhere warmer.
Up in the mountains, down by the ocean.
Where? it dont matter, as long as were goin
Somewhere together. Ive got a quarter.
Heads, carolina tails, california.
Were gonna get outta here if we gotta ride a greyhound bus.
Boy, were bound to outrun the bad luck thats tailin us
Heads, carolina tails, california.
Somewhere greener, somewhere warmer.
Up in the mountains, down by the ocean.
Where? it dont matter, as long as were goin
Somewhere together. Ive got a quarter.
Heads, carolina tails, california.
O---oh, california! carolina! california!

Circumspection
Many things i see concern me about people
I see people do stupid things
I see people do things to help the world
I see people do many things that someday they will not be proud of
Concerns come from the stupid things i see people do
If there a thousands of people doing things that i see
The world is a lot worse than what i thought
But other things i see cause me to see the good side of things
People that i see do acts of kindness make me see the world in other ways
But from what i see some people do i am filled with concern.

Carolina
Carolina, carolina, carolina, carolina
Nothing could be finer than to be in carolina in the morning
No one could be sweeter that my sweetie when i meet her in the morning
Where the morning glory
Twine around the door
Whispering pretty stories
I long to hear once more
Strolling with my girlie when the dew is pearly early in the morning
Butterflies all flutter up and kiss each little buttercup, in the morning
If i had aladdin's lamp
I'd make a wish and here's what i'd say
Nothing could be finer than to be in carolina in the morning
