The Brave Fear

A fear that dispels all other fears
A fear that conquers all other fears
A fear that elevates
A fear that sustains
The brave fear

To have it is to fear
To maintain it is to obey
To fear the Creator
To obey His majesty
The brave fear

A fear that defeats that of death
A fear that is from God’s providence
A fear that imparts confidence
A fear that imparts mirth
The brave fear

This fear from the Lord comes
This fear to the Lord directs
All your being and resources
All your future in His hands it places
The brave fear

Fear this fear not
Possess this fear
Buy this fair fear
With all your fair lot
The brave fear

To buy this fear
Wise is to grow
Security you bear
Your life to reach the brow
The brave fear

The brow of living
In eternity peacefully
The brow of being
What God created you to be fully
The brave fear

The brave fear is this
That all other fears you may have
Exchange them with this
That Christ is there you to save
From all other coward fears

The Fear Of Fear

Fear is not what I am afraid of.
True, it is a frightful thing to fear;
But the fear of fearing fear is overwhelming
Especially when its form becomes sheer

Fear is like losing a tree of shade on a bristling day
Or losing your breath when you fall below the sea;
I fear this fear of fearing these fears
And it is this fear that is part and parcel of me.

Fear is like loving without being loved back,
Fear is like leaving without being left;
And the fear of loving and leaving and being loved and being left
Is opposed by the fear of not fearing anything
And being an empty vase, noisy and bereft

I fear not death nor do I fear life,
But I fear the fear of both as my peers;
If I could release one fear from my fears
It would be the fear of fearing these fears.

Fears And Phobias

We all have fears and phobias
over something or other.
There are many people who
fear spiders and other creepy crawlies.
While others fear snakes thinking them as slimy.
Some people have a phobia about cats and dogs
while other have a fear of flying.

I am no exception to this
and I have had mine too.
Once I had a fear of snakes
and I overcame that one
by going to a reptile house
where you can get up close.
I conquered mine in a big way
with a ten-foot boa constrictor.
When I was offered to hold it.

I put my nerves away
and said yes I would.
His weight almost sank me to my knees,
but I challenged my fears
and overcame them.
Flying was another thing that unsettled me,
and I overcame that too.
Now once a year
I fly for nine and a half hours to see friends.

One thing I would like to do,
but have not as yet,
which just the thought of it
would horrify my wife
and that is hold a spider.
Not just any old spider
as I have picked up plenty of them,
but one that is big and hairy,
a tarantula one day.

I sympathize with all those
with fears and phobias
having had my share too.
However, there is counselling
somewhere out there for them
with support groups so you can
talk your fears through.
My advice to everyone,
do not let your fears and phobias
get the better of you.

3 November 2011

Author’s Note:
Many people do not realise that a tarantula hairs are the things
you should watch out for, as some people are allergic to them.
It is one of the reasons why most zoological places that keep them
will not let you hold them. I found that out when I asked
if I could hold one.

Fear is Everywhere You look

Everyone has a fear
They don’t even know where it comes from
Fear is everywhere you don’t have to look
There are fears that scare little kids
Like the dark or the monster in the closet
But without fear the world would fall into darkness
There are some people that fear other people
And some that fear water
But a lot of people fear the end of the world
There are people that do not have any fear
They are the people that are different
Even if they hide their fears from humanity
I am someone that is different
But I will tell you my fear
And that is
The fear of my friends dying first
I could not live with out my friends
A man once told me that fear is away to run
Show no fear even in the eyes of the end
Fear is everywhere you look
I told you my fear
I think that you have a fear too
But if you dare to tell
That is your choose
I do not control you
I have said that fear is everywhere you look
What is your worst fear? ? ?
I will not judge you if you tell! ! !

Dreams

Silent whispers
of dreams never spoken
in fear they maybe broken

Childhood dreams
is all we had
but we never had fears

As adults
all we have is fears
fear of war
fear of life
fears for our own

Fear is from belief

Beliefs put aside, fears will die.
I fear the dog; it will bite me.
I fear my child; it may stray.
I fear the God; he watches me.
I fear the sea; it might swallow.
Beliefs enter and fears follow

Once Your Fears Are Faced

I wish to bring you fear?
With a convincing done of it?
No! You are the one convinced,
That a truth spoken to you...
Is to be feared with a quick defense.

And you regard me,
As someone who offends...
Your pretentiousness to replace?
But it has been this pretentiousness,
Preventing your happiness you have erased.

What I offer and bring to you,
Is the closest you have ever been...
To anything you can refer and call an awakening.
With a beginning of a reality,
You need not fear once your fears are faced.

No more fear

No more fear of survival refuse to live in fear of myself any longer.

No more fear of never being respected or acknowledged by you for who I am.

I will not sarcoma to my fears any longer for I am stronger then I ever dreamed and I will no longer allow my fears to hold me in limbo.

No more screaming in silence or crying with no tears for the end of my silence is here.

No more putting myself through torture for I am ready to heal, my new growth is all around me and I am unsure of what I fear.

No more fear of not being loved for the people who loves themselves has any fear.

No more fear of the unknown for my eyes are wide open and the sky is very clear.

I will only place God Before me for I only exist with him and only he can set me free.

I had fear of being alone, then fear of what could be but I long to face the fears and it does not control me.

No more empty feelings for I know just where to go I will get on my knees, and ask God to bless my soul and take the fear away from me.

No more will I not be heard, if I need to yell or scream it I will say it the way I want but until I am treated right have a voice and I will not have fear of being heard.

No more will I not stand up for me or fear of what was meant to be, no more if being mislead, lost or even feel like I should be dead.

No more of this silly game will I play I love me and maybe you should do the same, I am that woman who has held a family together, who has made you only exit in my world and now no more.

Fear.....

do you fear
when you see the truth
do you fear
when you speak
what is true
do you fear
when they call you
paranoid

do you fear
when you're pushed aside
do you fear
you might get ostracized
do you fear
when characterized
as evil, and told
you won't get any paradise

It's all about keeping you down in fear
and not letting you face it in clear
pushing you down,
down in fear

take charge but don't act Cavalier
stay honest and be a pioneer
life is such a (b***h)
and seems always unclear
but it's not true what and how it appears

let’s adhere
to truth and persevere
keep fighting
and you won't disappear
in the dark and gloomy frontier
just fight those fears
fight your fears
don't let them come near
and you will have a happy and prosperous
New Yea r! !

Fears For Fears

Death promises nothing for me
And I don't expect nothing from death
Either than pain and sorrows
Fears for fears
Live in me
When I walk late at night on the road
Because I never know what can happen to me
But I believe that God is always on my side
Fears for fears
I will never trust the promises of a lazy man
Fears for fears
I will drink the one
With my food
So that I can give gheers to my God
Fears for fears
I don't fear the thunder or lightning
Fears for fears
The pond is home to all ducks
Because all the ducks lives in the pond
Swimming away
Fears for fears
What more can I give to God
Than myself
Fears for fears
The paths are not clear of the snow
In the winter
In the city where I live
Fears for fears
The harbour is so quiet during the winter
Because no boats are in the harbour during the winter
And everything sleeps away in the harbour
Also the night comes early during the winter months
But summer is different
Because the light shines all day
Fears for fears
Our bodies are made of water
And we need water to survive in this heat

Fear within my pain

what is fear?
how can you tell if you're afraid...

till the other night i thought that i feard nothing
but i do fear
within my pain
i am afraid of something that is not clear to me,

why do i fear something thats unknown to me
fear what is fear...

when i used to fear something i faced it

but i do not know what i fear i just feel afraid
i havent had a good nightssleep in days
even weeks
but why
i can not help but think
why fear, fear does not show weakness
but yet im weak
i can not face more days with this pain,
let along with this fear

Traces (Life Poem)

Traces of memories we leave in verse,
Which capture moments in time, that
Become invisible, once they are gone.

Traces of what we are and do and can do,
In our life from the day we are born, until
We die, a summation of hopes and fears.

Traces are the sticky air between, hope
Fulfilled and the fears conquered, while
Life flows slowly towards an endless sea.

Is man really courageous?

Is man really courageous?
He who says so
Must be lunatic.
Man fears life,
He fears death,
He fears disease,
He fears failure
And sometimes his success also,
He fears the truth,
He fears honesty,
He fears God
But on his terms,
And above all
He fears himself.
So why should he be called
A courageous?

Make Haste

Make haste, make haste, no time to waste,
the sandman’s on the move!
The minutes chased, missspent, misplaced,
swift scattered are, remove
from life the paste thats interlaced
with love to leave the groove
by others faced with fears encased
within themselves! Improve
your chances paced by those who’ve raced
where most may fear, disprove
the double-faced, minds [s]oft, effaced.
let no one disapprove
Strong spirits graced with soul true, chaste,
which ever must reprove
all evil based on base, poor taste, -
which ever seeks to prove
Good may be traced, Right be embraced
in confidence – for you’ve
the need to haste to truth, yes haste,
for Time is on the move!

To Support And Defend

Unwillingly wading, as I am, in a sea of discontent,
As though I have not a home, awaiting the latest torment;
All hath been absconded-to include 'rights', guaranteed-
Where is my aegis whence I am in need?

To think, I placed myself into 'harm's way'
To help ensure we all remain free every day;
Yet, all the ideals for which I have fought
Seem to stand 'mute'-are they all for naught?

I hold now before you, that upon which you've tread-
Lest you believe otherwise, nothing may stand in its stead:
I have sworn 'to support and defend'-
To my charge, I am steadfast, to my bitter end!

Your day of reckoning shall come surely, fast;
Lessons shall be taught-hopefully, to last
Long after I am gone, for posterity's sake-
I shall do whatever it may take!

To say I am heart-broken is not nearly to understand;
I simply do as my lofty beliefs unwaveringly command:
I shan't allow your ignorance and malice to reign,
You have been causal to a great deal of pain!
Not just whence I am the one concerned-
For far too many, a resplendence has withered!

Take this as heed, that a gauntlet hath been dropped-
I revel not in this role- yet, your depravity hath ne'er stopped!
Ne'er shall I accept this injustice, this cancer-
All those responsible for such, shall be called to answer!
Ne'er shall I bow down and simply take what you have doled,
It is you, for whom the bell has tolled!

I fear for myself

Wipe away my tears
but you'll never dispel my fears,
Read well my thoughts
but you'll never delet my doubts;
I fear not that a fig might run dry,
I fear not that I'll one day die,
I fear not that I might again cry,
I fear not that I might tear again my eye,
but, I fear for myself - for me:
that tommorrow you might love no longer...
And then leave me...
I fear for what I may be
if you, my love, sudden may cease to love me.

I Backed Away

“Who brought you home? ”
I backed away slightly,
Forming a smile upon my face.
The liars and criminals outside,
I introduced myself as a partner,
An accomplice and bothersome critic.

Looking back, my mind took a strange
Idea, and began to bark and cry
For the fear generated in my mother,
The fear of answers and questions,
The fear of lies and hard-suffering,
And the fears behind the fears.

My mind has transgressed with my soul,
And I am weak now as ever before.
