Thin Line

I thought the time was passed when I could
Find beauty in a birds
I set the stage and the scenery
Rehearsing every word
Yeah but when I tried to make it more
Well it was always less
And its a thin line between pleasing yourself
And pleasing somebody else
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
All right
With my confidence on fire
I set to fixin up my roles
My separation of desires
Just left me deeper down in the hole
Yeah when I tried to make it more
Well it was always less
And its a thin line between pleasing yourself
And pleasing somebody else
Yeah and when I tried to make it more
Well it was always less
Its a thin line between pleasing yourself
And pleasing somebody else
Now Im tryin to get back
To what I know that I should be
Hoping to God that I was just
A temporary absentee
Yeah when I tried to make it more
Well it was always less
Its a thin line between pleasing yourself
And pleasing somebody else
Yeah when I tried to make it more
Well it was always less
And its a thin line between pleasing yourself
And pleasing somebody else
Somebody else oh yeah
Oh yeah
All right

Without Exception

You wanna get close,
So you can set me up?
Well don't do it.
I've been through it.
So don't do it.

You wanna pretend,
We're friends until the very end...
Well don't don't it.
I've been through it.
So don't do it.

You see...
My eyes are open so wide,
They can see...
A deception!
Without exception.

And...
I am not that blind,
Not to see you from behind...
With a deception!
You're no exception.

You wanna play games,
To entertain then frame...
Well,
Don't do it.
I've been through it.
So don't do it.

You see...
My eyes are open so wide,
They can see...
A deception!
Without exception.

And...
I am not that blind,
Not to see you from behind...
With a deception!
You are no exception,
To accept.

You wanna get close,
So you can set me up?
Well don't do it.
I've been through it.
So don't do it.
There's nothing to prove.

You wanna pretend,
We're friends until the very end...
Well don't don't it.
I've been through it.
So don't do it.

You see...
My eyes are open so wide,
They can see...
A deception!
Without exception.

My eyes can see,
A deception!
Without exception.

My eyes can see,
A deception!
Without exception.

Listen to me.
My eyes can see,
A deception!
There's no exception.

Listen to me.
My eyes can see,
A deception!
There's no exception.

My eyes can see,
A deception!
Without exception.

Godly Decisions

O God! I have prayed against all hope for bags of fun,
But baggage stunts growth and loses boast;
Of all needs your knowledge is best and broad,
Yet white lies are never discussed in the affairs,
And white deception can man the degree of hope.
I can understand only a few who follow the story well and fine.
I seek only the pleasing benefits of your mercy.

Befitting pair

He is a brave man;
He utters brave words,
Makes brave promises
And breaks them bravely.

She is a pleasing woman.
She speaks pleasing words,
Assures pleasing events
And excuses herself pleasingly.

Both suit each other.

Claude Debussy

Art is the most beautiful deception of all. And although people try to incorporate the everyday events of life in it, we must hope that it will remain a deception lest it become a utilitarian thing, sad as a factory.

St. Louis' Apartment

Your love is like a pleasing aroma around me,
And like a pavement made of sapphire;
So burn the meat on the wood with the fire of love!
And come up in the morning to Mount Sinai.
Up there you will meet St. Louis' Apartment with love,
For love and life gathers with the sunshine around me;
And every dawn is like a new life and a blissful day,
But the beautiful signs are always around my bed.
Come to me with the pleasing aroma of love,
For my donkey will not rest like your monkey!
And like the sweet bed of roses to sleep on at last,
For your love is a pleasing aroma around me.

No Time Did I Waste In Perfecting Deception

When you finally discover,
Those places I've been...
What will you think of me then?
I often wonder about the path you are on.
The careful steps you've taken...
To make sure what you do
Is right and not wrong!

No time did I waste in perfecting deception!

I did not have those comforts.
No tour guide in my life!
I have made my way through 'this'.
In complete darkness.
With just my faith and a followed insight.
Clouds of doubts covered my sleepless nights,
And frightened...
Sometimes.
But I continued on.
Knowing my sighing,
Did not prevent my eyes from crying!

No time did I waste in perfecting deception!

When you finally discover,
Those places I've been...
What will you think of me then?
Will you embrace the fact that I did not pretend?
All that I've done,
Has made it easier for you now to find!
Since that journey you have embarked upon,
Is the one I paved and cleared!
The one that nearly drove me out of my mind!

No time did I waste in perfecting deception!

Remember those times you said I was lazy?
Well I hope my achievements don't drive you crazy!
Since your reputation,
Has been secretly built on the back of my efforts!
And those who weren't aware...
Just look at you and stare,
With a glare that is shared.
But not smothered in love!
No time did I waste in perfecting deception!

Immaculate Deception

In the daylight, comes darkness, on the verge of
Night a fear is born,
Sweeter than the dream, the reality of you,
Immaculate, deception.
From the spirit runs poison, and the wheel of
Fortune is ever still,
Sweeter than the light, the darkness of your soul,
Immaculate, deception.
Something has touched, the spirit inside,
Once there was love now theres a void.
Night of deception, ghost in my mind,
Am I bewitched, slave to desire.
Its knowing that time keeps rolling on, night after
Day, day after night,
Its knowing that feeling of coming home, to where
My spirit lies.
Its knowing that feeling of coming home, to where
My spirit lies.

Your Sacrifice

'He does not need our sacrifices,
He asks for our selves.'
Thomas Merton, No Man is an Island

Your sacrifice is like
the breath
of the sparrow
in the roiling storm.

It is not needed
but pleasing in its
simplicity.

When you peel away
your small, feathered
soul, when
you stretch your thin
lungs to sing
your song of self-
immolation,

remember that
it is not necessary,
no, not at all,

but still pleasing in
your purity of
tone.

Your position

To me,
Some are nothing,
Some are pleasing,
Some are tempting
But only you,
Who’re intoxicating.

You are
To many, nothing,
To some, pleasing,
To a few, disturbing
But only to me,
You’re maddening.
To you
Many are nothing,
Some are interesting,
A few are inspiring
But only I,
Who am disturbing.

It is not your fault;
It is my vulnerability.
It is not my fault:
It is your magnetizing.
Let fate be put to be at fault.

Pleasing The Body

in pleasing the body
you imply that the soul cries,

what choice do i have
when this body dies?

in pleasing the soul
the body must suffer?

tell me how to please both
please hand me the broth.

When Did Truth Become a Perception

When did truth become a perception,
And not an expectation.
When did it become questioned,
And deception an obligation.

People excuse themselves from misdeeds.
And then demand forgiveness,
To continue doing as they please.
While slandering and backstabbing,
Those who are honest and of integrity.

When did truth become a perception,
And not an expectation.
When did it become questioned,
And deception an obligation.

This Is Not Right

You may as well reveal it,
When the time comes
For it to be revealed.
Concealing misdeeds done,
Wont heal.
And feelings hurt,
Are not going to stop dirt...
Scooped up and thrown,
Overnight!
Especially if someone has been lied upon,
And the one responsible
Has done this out of spite!
To incite and ignite.
Was that you?
This is not right.
And things like this done,
Eventually exposes deception,
In broad daylight.
Leading to further misunderstandings...
With the wrong people left not speaking.
And those not involved,
Cursing each other into fights!
This is not right.
It is better to be direct.
Than to get upset...
By weaving a web of hatred,
And deception...
One will regret!

With Old And Aging Beliefs

The only people today left in the dark,
And feeling stupid they have lived...
In a divided separateness, isolated and apart,
Are those with old and aging beliefs...
That they can say and do anything they please,
With the spending of billions of dollars...
To create their own truth and have it unquestioned.

As if many are not awakening,
To see deception for what it is.

And as foolish as these people are,
Who refuse to leave the side of the dark...
To remain with images,
Created to inflate what does not exist.
They still insist their fall into an oblivion,
Is a temporary one.
And they can use their influence to get out of it.

As if many are not awakening,
To see deception for what it is.

Pleaser

I'm constantly pleasing everyone but me.
I'm sick of being so unhappy.
I can't do this any longer.
I feel like going under.
I smile when I'm really upset.
I run when out of breath.
I constantly try and make people happy.
But never even think about me.
I don't know why.
All I do alone is cry.
I'm constantly Pleasing everyone but me.
I'm sick of being so unhappy.

Love

Whilst tracing thy visage I sink in emotion,
For no other damsel so wond'rous I see;
Thy looks are so pleasing, thy charms so amazing,
I think of no other, my true-love, but thee.

With heart-burning rapture I gaze on thy beauty,
And fly like a bird to the boughs of a tree;
Thy looks are so pleasing, thy charms so amazing,
I fancy no other, my true-love, but thee.

Thus oft in the valley I think, and I wonder
Why cannot a maid with her lover agree?
Thy looks are so pleasing, thy charms so amazing,
I pine for no other, my true-love, but thee.

I'd fly from thy frowns with a heart full of sorrow--
Return, pretty damsel, and smile thou on me;
By every endeavor, I'll try thee forever,
And languish until I am fancied by thee.

a ring of haze encircles the unshrouded truth within another seal is broken as the heavens prepare to break forth in fulfillment a blanket of deception is layered on sacred writings which contain the thoughts of the One who is Almighty a sword unsheathed is drawn bringing legions of demons to their knees by the knowledge of a covenant prepared before the earth itself still so many choose to warm themselves beneath deception as the end draws near and history closes i pray the winds and the rain of that which is latter will bring clarity and understanding of Your infallible Word let the lack of knowledge be lifted off Your people

Astronomer

One metre is a distance to stay when sick,
He who lived a long time ago is too neurotic.
He who loved a fine day is paying some note
To the gates threatening to open and devote
Their time in keeping with lovely customers
Who laugh and describe a year of astronomers.
They artfully gaze at the sky at darkness,
Pleasing me, pleasing the rest of saintliness.
I deceive a sky full of stars, and it deceives me,
We promote goodness in the hemispheres, and then see.

John Keats

Sonnet IV. How Many Bards Gild The Lapses Of Time!

How many bards gild the lapses of time!
A few of them have ever been the food
Of my delighted fancy,—I could brood
Over their beauties, earthly, or sublime:
And often, when I sit me down to rhyme,
These will in throngs before my mind intrude:
But no confusion, no disturbance rude
Do they occasion; 'tis a pleasing chime.
So the unnumbered sounds that evening store;
The songs of birds—the whispering of the leaves—
The voice of waters—the great bell that heaves
With solemn sound,—and thousand others more,
That distance of recognizance bereaves,
Makes pleasing music, and not wild uproar.
