Fight Back, “The Land Of The Rising Sun”
A combined attack of a major earthquake and tsunami – for any other country it would have been a major blow
But the country in question is Japan, which is known for not letting any disaster make its morale low.
“The Land Of The Rising Sun”, Japan managed to stand up from the shambles of Hiroshima bombing
It is a strong-willed nation, for which fighting back a disaster with grit is not a new thing.
History bears the proof of the determination and courage that the Japanese community personifies
And there is hardly any doubt that the great country will overcome the present disaster with aplomb and ease.
The entire world’s sympathy, love and wishes are with you - our beloved Japanese friends, brothers and sisters
Fight back with your natural courage, by displaying for the umpteenth time the indomitable spirit of the Japanese mass.
Your ancestors faced Hiroshima bombing, and constructed a new Japan from the rubble of that devastation
Repeat that valour of your ancestors, and prove once again the resilience and buoyancy of your great nation.
(I wrote this poem on 14th March 2011 following the devastating Tsunami and earthquake in Japan that shook the world) .
First off, I don't want anyone to think I'm this huge thing in Japan. Every group from here that's made any records over any length of time - even indie bands - have a Cheap Trick effect in Japan.

Personally, I still don’t really know what progressive means. In some people’s minds if a piece of music is over 10 minutes long, it automatically gets the label of being progressive. I always enjoy playing arrangements kind of in a classical format, which is in movements. To me, music is either good or bad; it doesn’t matter what the label is. The kind of progressive label that I don’t like is the one that involves lyrics that quote dancing gnomes, Stonehenge and fairytales.

A Country Is Known
A country is not known by the rich heritage it holds
Not by a unique position it holds among countries of worlds
Not be the freedom or liberty they enjoy in real senses
But by the honor and pride it accords to the females
Love, sex and other things emerge along with the advancement of an age
It grows further with the refinement and progressive society in phase
Yet its basic outlook does not change for ladies at any stage
She has to face all hurdles, bear agony and create history on page
Have they not done enough for the mankind and country at large?
Have they not come forward for all steps to refine and purge?
They have been pioneer in all the struggles regardless of gender
Still nothing appeals us for recognition and facts stand only bare
Let us place her on top of our set up and pay due regard
Prepare a plan for comprehensive growth and look forward
They need not be used as sex symbol only for gradation
There has to be complete overhaul and thinking up gradation
You pick up any of her stage and compare with male
They may outclass male counterpart and surely fail
They have some sense to make things in proper order
Males sometimes pay scant respect and freely ponder
Let each stage play its natural role in total development
No rape, murder, discrimination or insult in any movement
What have they not given to us and protected
Even at the cost of shame and dishonor aggressively acted
Let this article be ear marked as great honor or tribute
Their involvement at any stage has helped to attribute
We have raised our head all the times with their devotion
Life has run into smooth weather with complete motion
We have experienced their greatness in mother
Life had been made as garden with sisters and brothers
This is how country has come into being as large entity
She had been at the centre of all with strength and capabilities
Full marks to her devotion, dedication and motherly attitude
We have been slight short of showing little gratitude
We remembered and cried only when she was not among

Honor And Courage
In Japan, they write on rice paper,
In America, we write on the sides of buildings.
In Japan they honor their elders,
In America, we rob them on buses,
And abuse them.
In Japan there is great love for their country.
In America, people are refusing to stand,
For the national anthem.
In Japan, men are volunteering to die,
Without a second thought,
To give up their lives,
To save their fellow citizens.
Oh yes, you'll say, the Japanese are great,
At dying, at suicide missions.
But is that the point?
Shouldn't the point be,
The Japanese love their homeland,
The Japanese love their own people,
The Japanese love their way of life,
The Japanese love their traditions,
Love, honor, respect, courage,
Nobody writes on Japanese walls.
Offenders are quickly and severely dealt with.
Wouldn't you volunteer also?
Maybe not.
Honor, and courage,

It was a real surprise this manager of a famous travel agency in Japan talked about Japan's atrocities in the war when interviewing me for aj ob. In a tone of anger, he talked about what goes around comes around and that Japan too would be in for bad times when the time comes.
