There is nothing more tragic than to find an individual bogged down in the length of life, devoid of breadth.

0146 Contemplation's Metaphysical

The height and depth and length and breadth of God -
that's what is promised to contemplatives:
and God, the sphere whose centre's everywhere
and whose circumference is nowhere found:

geometry without coordinates
and integral beyond all integers,
description of the indescribable -
can this reveal the measure of godliness?

God's height: the soul, which knows but upward flight;
God's depth: the depthless deep of human heart;
God's breadth: the mind with limits beyond sight;
God's length: how long He'll wait, while we're apart;

this does but limn the sphere which yet awaits
the soul and heart and mind which contemplates.

Branded

Tragic is the self misplaced.
Tragic is a lost identity...
And no familiarity on anyone's face.
Tragic in denial
Sits the misfits feeling on trial
For lives lived reeking and stinking of bile.
Tragic for them,
Love is not recognized at all...
Nor suitable to start,
From a place within them that begins.
And this becomes tragic for those
Unlike them but comprehending,
These tragedies
May not always be self inflicted...
As they are branded!

All Of These Dreams

There is a place on the mountain near by
Deep in a cave but its up rather high
There in the darkness I safely concealed
All of the dreams that you never revealed
And if you go there, and after you do
All of these dreams would be yours to persue
The rest of your lifetime, devoid of a care
If you keep your eyes open, you may find yourself there
Such is the promise, such is the curse
You could just live your life better or worse
Knowing the casual dreams up on that hill
Beckons and sways but won't bend to your will
You might find a river under a mountain that
feeds a remote, subteranian fountain
drink from this taste just a hint of a dream
that some how leads in to the underground stream
And if you go there, and after you do
All of these dreams would be yours to persue
The rest of your lifetime, devoid of a care
If you keep your eyes open, you may find yourself there
If you keep your heart open

In This And That Of Life

In the happy and sad of life
Ask for peace
In the thick and thin of life
Stick to your roots
In the length and breadth of life
Never leave grace
In the black and white of life
Be a warm cheerful shade
In the hard and soft of life
Know the when
In the lines and circles of life
Don’t lose focus
In the near and far of life
Keep in touch
In the flat and heels of life
Be light on your feet
In the light and heavy of life
Guard your spine
In the hot and cold of life
Calm your nerves
In the sweet and sour of life
Explore
In traditional and modern of life
Be original
In the cocktails and mocktails of life
Don’t pet carbs
In the silk and cotton of life
Please your skin
In the mornings and evenings of life
Never skip breakfast
In the love and betrayals of life
Chose health
In the fast and slow of life
Patience dear
In the wide and narrow of life
Be cautious
In the vacations and jobs of life
Enjoy both
In the tranquil and chaos of life
Meditate
In the hearts and minds of life
Pamper your soul
In the darkness and brightness of your life
Don’t get lost in either

There is not one big cosmic meaning for all, there is only the meaning we each give to our life, an individual meaning, an individual plot, like an individual novel, a book for each person.

That this individual life of all of us is not something limited in its temporal expression to the life that now we experience, follows from the very fact that here nothing final or individual is found expressed.

Alphabet of Love

You taught me the alphabet of love
And I learnt it with the ease
Of my mother tongue,

You told me
That cherished dreams
Some day come true,
And I remained awake
The whole night
To dream the dream.

You asked me
To think lofty
And since then,
I have been measuring
The length and breadth of the sky
And counting the stars of the Milky Way.

Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic

Though I've tried before to tell her
Of the feelings I have for her in my heart
Every time that I come near her
I just lose my nerve
As I've done from the start
Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on
Do I have to tell the story
Of a thousand rainy days since we first met
It's a big enough umbrella
But it's always me that ends up getting wet
Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on
I resolve to call her up a thousand times a day
And ask her if she'll marry me in some old fashioned way
But my silent fears have gripped me
Long before I reach the phone
Long before my tongue has tripped me
Must I always be alone?
Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

Life

Life – a Puzzle!
More – a Riddle! !
A hard nut to crack!
An Ocean Deep with swirls and twists! !

Has anyone seen it in length and breadth?
Has it ever taken the course we designed?

Like the travellers within a Phantom ship,
We sail past to far unknown lands.
Through rugged waves, we drift along,
Either to perish or to be cast ashore.

So elusive, Life remains,
Like the mirage over the stretch of sands.
Often it seems so easily within reach
But far, it recedes out of grip.

Like a juggler, performing tricks,
It holds people to watch and wonder.
Life remains a complex sum,
Far beyond our power to solve.
Why rake your brain to fathom out?
Why knit your brow and look beyond?
Safe it is-
And wiser still-
To stay awake,
And take things in their stride.

A Voice Lays Hanging On A Pole

like a tattered piece of
loin cloth
a voice lays hanging on a pole
beside a
grassy path

it speaks
and i listen

it speaks about its loneliness
its being tattered
it is a torn voice haunted by
a scissor
the thread of mystery runs
wanting still
till nighttime to find the naked
eye
of the needle

pines beside the hill
stand by
like strangers staring
upon the dead body
of a boy

overrun by a ten wheeler
truck

tragic! yes, tragic is the
silence

more tragic is the indifference
that simply walks away
unnoticed even by the invisibility of the
soul of
the wind
chimes.

The Wind

I felt the blowing of the wind
As it entered my breadth from deep within
It entered my soul, and then wouldn't let go
It is the wind, from whence life begins.

The Wind she is know by boy and man
And whomever sits, or walks or stands
For the wind is known, when she has blown
And when she does not, the world it moans.

The Wind, she is my friend
As a boy journeys through the world of man
She strengthens the soul, when she has blown
So onto her breadth, I will forever hold.

The name of the wind, I will call it Kim
As she enters my breadth from deep within
She surrounds my soul, and will not let go
Kim, is the name of the wind.

The wind is a woman dear
As beautiful as the stars painted in the sky
And when she sends her kiss, Men then wish
And the boys just kneel down to cry.

The Wind she is my breeze I do believe
From the steps I walk to the air I breathe
And when she touches my face, my sorrows are erased
For she is the wind, and the wind, she is my breeze.

A real come back

I had spent lifeless days so far
It was situation as no win in war
It was full of uncertainties
It always lacked fine qualities

Almost I had died out for nothing
There grew strong urge to do something
The body was erect but lacked enough strength
It had magnetic waves devoid of any length

The sun was daily rising from east
Completing task and setting in west
What was I doing here for nothing?
Uselss like vulture for no adding

I lamented only as human being
Cursed the life for not having made as king
All luxury of life not at disposal
Was it not from Him a bad proposal?

I was enduring it as pain
It was only my worry as main
I had nothing else to do
For m it was horrible true

I searched no soul and felt for agony
The reason may well be counted as many
It was real darkness from within
They rays were not allowed to shine

It was nothing but all negligence
I have lived with all arrogance
What did I know about life with elegance?
I was miles away fromm its real presence

Something pushed me from darkest corner
It came to me as finest hour
I was to rise from pretty ignorance
Life was to be seen with internal beauty and romance

It was lighted with enough of illumination
I could find answer with all my questions
It was right quest to make life worth while
Life was to be lived with a purpose meanwhile

Organizations endure, however, in proportion to the breadth of the morality by which they are governed. Thus the endurance of organization depends upon the quality of leadership; and that quality derives from the breadth of the morality upon which it rests.
