Abatement in the hostility of one's enemies must never be thought to signify they have been won over. It only means that one has ceased to constitute a threat.

We have to scrutinize the entire abatement process to ensure the companies that are under consideration for an abatement truly need one, and I don't believe that is being done now.

Death is a Threat

Death is a threat.
That almost everyone fears.
But to every beginning.
There must be an end.
Even worse is when you know.
what others don’t.
Something like Death.

How do you take it?
What can you do?
How you do you live your life
until your time is due.
Forgive all your enemies.
Take each day as it comes.
If you are in a position to,
Accept your fate.
And pray before it is too late.

Death is a threat.
We hate to relent.
It visits us randomly.
There is no perceptual structure.
Don't try to analysis it for that is mental torture.
Treasure each day as you live.
Love is what you should strive to find.

Death is a threat.
To our every day life’s.
It can turn our whole world upside down.
Destinies forcefully change overnight.
Sometimes for bad or for something very right.
Your best friend leaves for ever.
Your life long dreams die when you thought never.
But it is all a test.
During which your strength manifest.
Better, don’t let Death know when you are expecting it.
Or for death that will be a treat.

THE DISTANCES OF THE JOURNEYS HAVE CEASED TO MATTER TO ME!
BUT, I STILL AM IN DIFFICULTY IN IGNORING THE PESTILENCES OF THE CHRISTIANS!

Teach Them Young

The shooting of Trayvon Martin is a symptom of
how conscious our culture is today.
We still have guns to keep our imagined
enemies at bay.
Who are our enemies if we are all one?
One God soul being scattered below the sun.
We should teach children when they are young
teach them acceptance, cooperation tolerance of
other cultures, show ways different culture have fun.
Have poor children be in a class where rich kids
help them out, teach them to walk in other shoes
in a world filled with hostility and doubt.
Have empathy for others and their plight
how to resolve misunderstandings without leading to a fight.
How will this world ever get passed the second grade
we are a planet that needs to evolve consciously if
we are to be a healed to even celebrate the Golden Age.

The Watchers

Why should we fear the alien?
who seem to be observing us.
I fear much more my fellow men
It seems to me ridiculous.

That we assume hostility
of which there’s little evidence.
Perhaps the strange craft which we see
are merely on reconnaissance.

They’re tasked to watch the human race
but not allowed to interfere
. For some signs of maturity.
They are afraid that we draw near

to having the technology.
Which will enable us to spread
from our small island galaxy.
A happening they view with dread.

They know we are belligerent.
We have been watched for centuries
The fear the threat that we present.
We’re quarantined like some disease.

These monitors form outer space
who keep a wary eye on us.
Are right to fear the human race.
They are not merely curious.

Despite the progress man has made
to them we lack maturity...
They have good cause to be afraid
we threaten their security..

They have the right to be afraid
of human ingenuity.
Perhaps in time we’ll make the grade
when we attain maturity.

Man is his own worst enemy
he sees each stranger as a foe
and meets him with hostility.
We dare not let our own fear show.

Why should we fear the alien.
There is no reason for alarm
They do not act like other men
why should we fear that they mean harm..

Shuma

When I was little
We moved next to a forested
Gulch (a 'shuma' in Serbian) ,
Where a neighbor boy led me down the place
To get acquainted with the trees.

He pointed out poison ivy and oak,
He showed me the beavers' dam,
But I best recall Daddy Long Legs,
The spider I thought looked
Like those killing machines in 'War of the Worlds.'
Daddy had far too many legs, however,
And, according to the boy, posed no threat.

In winter, sledding down there
Was a gas, was my purest thought ever.
My parents were still alive
And posited no threat.
That once-upon-a-time
I held no regrets.

Now I cannot look nto the mirror-
My youth is bereft.
Tired branches sprout from silent ears.

An Escalation of Defense

There seems to be one conversation,
That has no end.
A threat of fear.
And an escalation of defense...
To keep it from coming near.
As we become more aware,
It is best to protect ourselves...
From our own next door neighbors.
With the allowance of deceit and distrust,
To rush many of us to seek shelter...
Away from those real enemies imposed and intended.

Harrison Ford

With the CGI, suddenly there's a thousand enemies instead of six - the army goes off into the horizon. You don't need that. The audience loses its relationship with the threat on the screen. That's something that's consistently happening and it makes these movies like video games and that's a soulless enterprise. It's all kinetics without emotion.
