The principle that certain sins should not receive the Church's testimony of forgiveness was probably no novelty at all, but had been applied in various churches; perhaps, however, with no strict consistency.

Ready To Go Home
On the street below these walls
Where I used to walk
Now I can barely crawl
All this darkness rising tall
Lord shine a light for me
Im waiting to be called
Im ready to go home
Im ready to receive
Forgiveness for my sins
Im ready to begin
Take this river to the sea
Where the delta flows
The tide is washing over me
Guide this soul to heavens door
Show me where tomorrow lies
Im waiting to be born
Im ready to lay down
Im ready now to sleep
A promise I must keep
Im ready to go home
So tired I lay down
With these memories
Breathe shallow deep inside of me
If time has run its course with me
Then
Im ready to go home
Im ready to receive
Forgiveness for my sins
Im ready to begin
When the evening shadows fall
When the time has come
Ill let defences fall
To surrenders to survive
I will give up everything
To those I leave behind
Im ready to go home
Im ready to receive
Forgiveness for my sins
Im ready to begin
Im ready to lay down
Im ready now to sleep
A promise I must keep
Im ready to go home
Again

A Lesson of Life (Forgiveness)
(dedicated to Ms. Angela Gheorghiu, a great soprano)
sins to reach clouds of sky
sins nearly as great as earth
sins as many as foams of ocean
were you then to pray to God
were you then to come to God
were you then to ask forgiveness
ascribing no partner to God
so long as you call upon God
ask of mercy and forgive to God
God would bring you forgiveness
God shall forgive you for what you have done
God is the Most Merciful and Fullest of Forgiveness
(inspired by Ramadan month of 1429 H)

Terror is only justice: prompt, severe and inflexible; it is then an emanation of virtue; it is less a distinct principle than a natural consequence of the general principle of democracy, applied to the most pressing wants of the country.

The Stars and Lampstands
John, while on the island of Patmos, saw a vision of The Lord of Hosts,
Seeing The Lord of our Salvation, John penned the Book of Revelation.
John saw, held in The Savior’s Hand, a mystery, for men to understand,
Seven stars were in his right hand, along with seven golden lampstands.
The stars were seven angels for, the seven Churches of Christ our Lord,
The lampstands are seven Churches, that, The Lord loves and searches.
John would write down all he saw, watching and hearing The Lord of all,
And writing down Christ’s very words, John would pen all that he heard.
To the Church found at Ephesus, a church known for its Faith and trust,
They were warned by Christ above, that they’ve forsaken their first love.
To the faithful Church of Smyrna, through John’s writing they’d learn of,
Persecution that they would endure, but get a crown of life by The Lord.
In the body of Pergamum believers, there were a few spiritual deceivers,
Teaching believers of Christ’s Way, evil doctrines causing many to stray.
In Thyatira they’d tolerate Jezebel, leading some men into the pit of Hell,
Believers were told to stay their path, to not receive with Jezebel, Wrath.
To those in Sardis it was said, they appear alive but are spiritually dead,
And told to consider true belief, or Christ would come to them as a thief.
Believers in Philadelphia, filled with love, had not denied the Lord above,
They’d be kept, since they endured, from that hour of trial, by their Lord.
Laodicea was found to be lukewarm; not a cold or hot faith for the Lord,
Truly needing Christ’s Righteousness, to cover their spiritual nakedness.
These were all churches of that day; Christians who believed in The Way,
Churches from Ephesus to Laodicea, can all apply to Churches we see.
He who has an ear, let him hear, for today the Spirit of Christ is so near,
Standing and knocking at the door, is Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.
Blessed are all who hear the Word, that those early Churches had heard,
And open the door to Jesus Christ, to receive from Him Everlasting Life.

Some Have Steeples. Some Don't
What do I think of church?
'Yes! '
Church?
Like in 'church' church?
'Yes! '
Well...
Some have steeples.
Some don't.
Some have people.
Some wont.
Some are religiously political.
And some are politically religious.
My vehicle is my church.
And that's all I care about.
'Oh?
So your 'car' is your church? '
Oh.
No no!
My 'body' is my church.
It is my sanctuary.
Now...
Keep in mind,
I am not devoted to keep it as pure,
As it should be.
But I do the best I can,
Not to be led away by temptation.
But everyday I pray to be forgiven,
Of those 'sins' I know I should not enjoy!
However...
You can find me anytime,
Self righteously defending...
My point of view.

Sin and Stuff
Lord – if that is how
a stranger, I, should address
that stranger, you –
I – or one resembling I –
have done so many actions
which the world would classify
as crimes, or sins, according as
the one who classified them might believe…
and in the classifications which
men attribute boldly to that presumed you,
there must be crimes or sins which are unnamed
which I have done; good left undone…
indeed, your devotees would see it as a sin
if any single breath, any heartbeat passed
without their holding you in mind…
So if I understood forgiveness, as beyond
the way we scold our children, even punish them,
yet never cease to love…
then I would ask forgiveness of my sins
in that same spirit; yet I would ask, first,
understanding; mine, and yours
(though I would hope them finally the same)
for I believe that really, the you
that I perceive you as –
that really, you’re my best friend…
who understands my crimes and sins
better than I do myself…
and in that understanding, love.

Forgiveness
we need the honey like the bees
gimme sound
need to be touched by you but you're not around
forgiveness
please save some for me
wash me down
till I'm new
till I'm pleasing you
till I am nothing but true
please save a little for me
where is the forgiveness that you promised me
am I too late
gone astray
misplaced the keys to all my churches
seems I've chased all my angels away
so I bleed
gimme speed
while I'm running back to you
and I'll be nothing but true true
me you choose
see I was hopin' I could walk on your water with you
forgiveness
please send some down for me
where is the forgiveness that you promised me
am I too late
and I've learned to be still when the beast within me moves
and I'll be nothing but true

More Than A Forgiveness Wished
It has to be traumatic,
To approach and seek a forgiveness...
From those one has actively victimized.
Especially if such activities,
Have been publicly applied.
And over the years has denied those,
The opportunity to provide a decent income...
For themselves or anyone else.
It has to be traumatic,
To approach and seek a forgiveness...
From those one has actively victimized.
And then one day it is discovered,
Those who had been subjected to misery...
Are more influential than one thought them to be.
And the discovery of this,
Leaves one with more than a forgiveness...
Wished!

There can, therefore, be no doubt that Presbyterians do carry out the principle that Church power vests in the Church itself, and that the people have a right to a substantive part in its discipline and government.

Sex & The Church
Though the idea of compassion
Is said to be
The union of christ
And his bride, the christian
Its all very puzzling
Sex and the church

No Choice
right, wrong,
neat, or dirty
whatever that be
he goes for consistency
loved or unloved
hate, indifference,
reunion, departures
hellos
he goes for consistency
stay put and travel
silence noise
chaos pandemonium
he goes for consistency
moving on always moving on
with the earth in circles
revolving upon an orbit
always moving on and moving on
what choice does he have?
if he stays, he is left out
if he moves on, the horizon is edgeless

’Tis So Lovely To …
’Tis so lovely to be born a Christian;
’Tis so lovely to be a Roman Catholic;
’Tis so lovely to follow Jesus Christ;
’Tis so lovely to know the one, living God;
’Tis so lovely to read the Holy Bible;
’Tis so lovely to have Christian parents
’Tis so lovely to walk in the shadow of the Holy cross;
’Tis so lovely to spread the Gospel;
’Tis so lovely to obey God’s Ten Commandments;
’Tis so lovely to abide by the precepts of the holy Catholic Church;
’Tis so lovely to receive the Holy Sacraments;
’Tis so lovely to confess sins and gain forgiveness from God;
’Tis so lovely to receive the Holy Eucharist;
’Tis so lovely to be an example of Christ unto others;
’Tis so lovely to be a “Fisher of Souls”;
’Tis so lovely to do miracles like Christ;
’Tis so lovely to heal the sick by prayers;
’Tis so lovely to console the sick and the dying;
’Tis so lovely to live a life like that of Christ;
’Tis so lovely to keep the soul pure;
’Tis so lovely to be filled by the Holy Spirit;
’Tis so lovely to take the road to heaven;
’Tis so lovely to die a holy Christian death;
’Tis so lovely to resurrect after death;
’Tis so lovely to be spared of eternal damnation;
’Tis so lovely to have eternal life;
’Tis so lovely to live in commune with God
Forever in Heaven thereafter!

Persistent Consistency
A persistent consistency...
With detemination to excell,
Generates a motivation...
From inside one where it dwells.
Seeking an acceptance,
For that which one loves to create...
Will never satisfy an ego that tries,
To enforce upon others...
An appreciation shown that escalates.
One attempting to do this,
Is not connected mentally...
To the gifts they have.
Or feel blessed to nourish,
As time passes on from their grasp.
Many seek results and success,
Quickly delivered.
Without a discipline applied.
Or a sacrificing done of a social life.
A persistent consistency...
With detemination to excell,
Generates a motivation...
From inside one where it dwells.
And does not derive,
From an outside source for a thriving to arrive.
Some nights may be substituted,
For a sleeplessness...
Ambitions seduce to produce.

He That Hath Ears
'He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.'-
St. John the Divine.
The Spirit says unto the churches,
'Ere ever the churches began
I lived in the centre of Being-
The life of the Purpose and Plan;
I flowed from the mind of the Maker
Through nature to man.
'I sleep in the glow of the jewel,
I wake in the sap of the tree,
I stir in the beast of the forest,
I reason in man, and am free
To turn on the path of Ascension
To the god yet to be.
'I was, and I am, and I will be;
I live in each church and each faith,
But yield to no bond and no fetter,
I animate all with my breath;
I speak through the voice of the living,
And I speak after death.'
The Spirit says unto the churches
'The dead are not gone, they are near;
And my voice, when I will it, speaks through them,
Speaks through them in messages clear.
And he that hath ears, in the silence
May listen and hear.'
The Spirit says unto the churches,
'So many the feet that have trod
The road leading up into knowledge,
The steep narrow path has grown broad;
And the curtain held down by old dogmas
Is lifted by God.'

When applied to politics and taken to its extreme, kitsch is the mask of death. Fascism was all aesthetics. There was no core principle to it. There was no truth to it.

Beginning In The House of God
Friend God’s Judgment shall begin, within the very House of God,
As He lifts high, against her sin, His Standard and Righteous Rod,
For far too often believers tolerate, within their hearts and their life,
The many sins God does hate, that cause the Body pain and strife.
We forget His Righteous Decrees, even though we belong to Him.
Going on in life just how we please, while falling back into old sin.
It’s not done with any evil intent, but, just sins that still have a grip,
This with that old humanistic bent, and back into old ways we slip.
The sin of gossip, just simple talk, can tarnish a testimony friend,
As it also corrupt a believer’s walk, while hurting others in the end.
Going where we should not go, The Holy Spirit hears and grieves,
As that subtle sin begins to grow, and other sin it now conceives.
Strong anger then begins to flare, and this, inside another’s heart,
And one who simply had no care, before that gossip had its start.
The question this is sure to raise, as one’s heart begins to search,
Does it bring God any praise, in the Body called Christ’s Church?
Have we strayed to the place, within The Church of God’s people,
That it’s not a house of grace, but simply a whitewashed steeple?
We need today repentant hearts, in the Body that God holds dear,
Before His Spirit within departs, with God’s Judgment oh so near.

Sonnet: All Men are Sinners
How can we judge a man with greatest sins?
‘Let the man who has no sins, throw the first stone';
A sword can kill and sometimes even pins;
And man can sin even while being alone.
The purest soul has some kind of sin-stain;
And man falls into temptations with ease;
Sometimes, he tends to sin again, again;
In tempting man, the devils will not cease.
The blood of Christ absolves all men of sins;
The worst sinner could always reach Heaven;
God's forgiveness can come within a wince;
God knows the problems on earth of all men.
No man, really speaking can judge next;
Man's Salvation comes through God's Holy Text.
