Do more than is required. What is the distance between someone who achieves their goals consistently and those who spend their lives and careers merely following? The extra mile.

Anything To Be Happy
What would you do for a touch of happiness
Would you run that extra distance
Would you spend that extra hour
Would you show that extra effort
What would you do for a touch of happiness
Would you feel that extra pain
Would you spend that extra cash
Would you drive that extra mile
What would you do for a touch of happiness
People would do anything to be happy
It is something they need
They do the “extras”
When it is all quite simple
Happiness comes from the inside

A little extra, from an extra ordinary woman
She goes out of her way and travels that extra mile
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She consoles you, smiles with you, cries with you and for you
A little extra than anyone else
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She spends on you a little extra than she does on her own self
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She uses her extra strength and wisdom to pick you up when you fall
She blinds her sight to your imperfections
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She loves you a little extra just to stand out different
From all those who love you
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She starves herself so that you may eat a little extra
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She forgives you all the time
Even when you guilty mind knows you don’t deserve such kindness
Because she is an extra ordinary woman
She may not be the most perfect woman but
She is indeed an extra ordinary woman
She is your mother, your wife, your fiancee, your girlfriend
Your sister, your grandmother and your daughter
You best appreciate her

Youth Must Serve Life Apprenticeships Bound
Why is it children learn lesson many years slowly?
Why does crawling standing walking take so long to learn?
Why does speech acquisition require so many skills?
Next years are required sitting at slow growing desks?
Time in play ground changes but fleeting intervals?
Examinations listening writing skills determine rankings?
Those born with silver spoons in mouth get status rides?
Those born with plastic spoons get extra lessons to chew on?
Those entering extra education required careers earn excess?
So why be surprised true art tests with multiple hardships?
It hurts to not be able to be an artist to have a few extra luxuries?
Time trials test mantle hardship faith tests art lessons transcends?

When he was insulted, he returned no insult
some questions i will ask for you today,
did you show your left cheek when your right was slapped?
did you walk another extra mile when you were ordered to
walk the required mile?
did you take his eye because your eye was taken away?
did you take his teeth because your teeth were removed by him?
did you insult him because he insulted you?
did you fight him because he started the fight himself?
did he opress you and you remained silent?
did he steal from you and you tell the police that you freely gave the
stolen thing from you to him?
please answer me.
Did it now occur to you that it is hard to be a christian?
please answer me.

Worth The While
well we can go the extra mile,
we can work the extra hour
We can grow a little everyday.
and I'll tell ya why I'm happy,
and I'll tell ya why I care,
cause Jesus died for people everywhere!

Someone To Touch
Music :rudolf schenker
Lyrics:klaus meine, mark hudson
Im an alleycat with only seven lives
Im the trouble scratching at your door
When the moon is bright and shining high
Im getting loose just like the night before
One for the money, two for the show
You cant resist it on a night like this
Im the answer baby and you know
Tonight youre mine, forget the guy youre with
Baby I dont care
If I have to crawl an extra mile
cause you can take me everywhere
And youre the one I really need tonight
Someone to touch
I need a girl like you
Someone to touch
That somebody could be you
Dont try to tell me that your daddys mean
You think your mama wouldnt let me in
Come on n step inside my dream machine
Dont fight it honey you just cant win
cause baby I dont care
If I have to crawl an extra mile
cause you can take me everywhere
And youre the one I really need tonight
Someone to touch
I need a girl like you
Someone to touch
That somebody could be you
Someone to touch
I need a girl like you
Someone to touch
Cmon baby, I think its you

The Extra Mile
(b, r & m gibb)
I want to go where no ones gone before
And my faith will find the way
And Im not afraid
Now I am here with all that is true
So many times
You lived with my strength and my pain
You are my friend
Im ready to walk that line
Ready to fight, for
Im not alone in the night
Youre always in sight and its so right
For once in your life, let your soul shine through
And know I will go
That extra mile for you
In all the years, you suffer for your love
And my tears will fade away
Heaven above
Now I can steer my ship to the shore
Borne on the wind
Alls fair in love and in war
Steady and sure
Im ready to walk that line
Ready to fight, ill
Weather the storm in the night, youre always around and its so right
For once in your life let your soul shine through
And know I will go
That extra mile for you
Ready to walk that line
Ready to fight, ill
Weather the storm in the night
Youre always in sight and its so right
For once in your life let your soul shine through
And know I will go
That extra mile for you

Chasing shadows
By the time I finish the last line
You will realize how foolish I've been
Being a victim of infatuation
I went the extra mile to make her mine
All other things suffered at her expense
I even hated the sight of other ladies
My beautiful princess now rules my thought
I spend and spend till I was poor
All in a bid to make her smile
My room is littered with her image
My brain is polluted with her name
My mind is a captive to her thought
Then I heard from a reliable source
Someone told me she's getting married
She's got herself a man who's not me
You are wrong to call her unfaithful
For she made a very sensible choice
She married one who's man enough to say "I love you"

To be consistently effective, you must put a certain distance between yourself and what happens to you on the golf course. This is not indifference, it's detachment.
In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.

A Sunday Prayer 12
Dear Lord as I pray to you today
for help for all of us everywhere
to get through another day.
There are some in this world,
who need an extra blessing from you.
Their quality of life is not what it should be.
They are look on by some
as burden to our society.
They are pointed at with fingers,
by those showing little or no respect.
It is for these individuals that I want
you to give an extra blessing today.
Those among us who cannot
for whatever reason defend themselves.
Some have suffered terrible injuries
by either life or accident.
They need extra care from you
to see their lives through.
So as I finish this prayer
for Sunday my Lord.
Could you give them
a little extra of your time?

The Extra Mile
The Extra Mile
Date: July 13,2012
My longing remains unclaimed
Flustered by the winds of change
Whipped around and tossed awry
Leaving me to wonder why
The perfect match, would set aflame
A perfect love, not silly games
A fire that burns without remorse
Not some hoax or Trojan horse
A passion true, would never hide
Would walk ahead and push aside
If mountains high, obscure the path
Come tumbling down, beneath its wrath
A love that life allows to be
Would not be swayed by trickery
Would have no need for tricks or guile
Would always go the extra mile

Set priorities for your goals. A major part of successful living lies in the ability to put first things first. Indeed, the reason most major goals are not achieved is that we spend our time doing second things first.

Spend My Time
How can we know how far
The long way can be
Looking from where we are
It never seemed that long to me
I've many miles behind me
Maybe not so much ahead
Seems I made good time
With the directions I misread
I'm gonna spend my time
Like it's going out of style
I'm moving the bottom line
Farther than a country mile
I still have hills to climb
Before I hit that wall
No matter how much time I buy
I can never spend it all
Funny thing that time
We're always running out
I'm always losing mine
There's not enough of it about
And though it's always here
It will always come and go
The days become the years
That'll be gone before you know
So I'm gonna spend my time
Like it's going out of style
I'm moving the bottom line
Better than a country mile
I still have hills to climb
Before I hit that wall
I won't go quietly into that dark night
There'll be no more burning daylight
I'll be living in
Every moment that I'm in
I'm gonna spend my time
Like it's going out of style
I'll only use what's mine
I've been saving for a while
I still have hills to climb
Before I hit that wall
No matter how much time I buy
I can never spend it all
No matter how much time we buy
We can never spend it all
