Just Like All The Rest.
Just like all the rest, oh girl what have you been through. How can you say such things when you don't know. Hasn't he told you. I'm a train wreck. A man looking for a little substance in my life. And again you say like all the rest. Girl you must be so blessed to say that to me. For i know what i need and so must you. Cataclysmic was the time when we met. I was weak, so were you. I was looking for somebody. So were you. Still i hear you say just like all the rest. I must confess. When worlds collide. And tears fall that we try to hide. Always the better person. So rehearsed. The path to destruction is invisible,
It is travelled on by the wise,
Giving an enterprise to behold,
Like a gesture too meek.
The paths are long and hard,
In one complete stroke you have moved,
In a single movement the damage is received
As the paths lead to roads leading to fatigue.

Is narrow and far too long to achieve,

A World Of My Own
When I write I go into
a world of my own.
My concentration is so strong
the rest of the world around me
just doesn’t belong.
The rest of the world vanishes
when my writing takes control
and I slip into a world of my own.
I only see the writing in front of me
everything else gets ignored.
My hearing does not detect
the voices surrounding me
when I drift into
a world of my own.
It is as though I’m hypnotised
by the words that I write
and all else never matters
disappearing out of sight
