Good records - from my point of view, where I grew up which was Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull... bands that were pushing the envelope a little - musically and in production.

Well give it to john to supplement his camels. he dropped on his
Head when he was very small. we occasionally cut his fingernails off
And smoke them. this is a... a song about... about everything.

I took a private lesson, but it didn't really work out, so I went back to playing along with records. That's really the thing that got me into playing a lot - getting excited about playing along with my favorite bands like Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.

Punk rock really influenced me, the basic metal bands, Zeppelin, Stones and Floyd, and Southern rock bands. I think I was pretty well-rounded.

A Different Point Of View
(tennant/lowe)
----------------------------
When Im sitting so close to you
Theres only one thing that I wanna do
But I know what youre likely to say
That Im going about it the wrong way
We cant agree about anything
Where to go or even where weve been
And I know what youre likely to do
Say that Ive never cared about you
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
You dont believe a single word I say
If Id say black was white, youd say it was grey
But in spite of being treated this way
I still dream of you all night and day
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
Just this once
Just say yes
Please
Youve got a clever way of haunting me
Im never scared, but youre still daunting me
cause I know what youre likely to say
And I know that youll get your own way
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view

Back in the old days, we were often compared to Led Zeppelin. If we did something with harmony, it was the Beach Hoys. Something heavy was Led Zeppelin.

We didn't go for music that sounded like blues, or jazz, or rock, or Led Zeppelin, or Rolling Stones. We didn't want to be like any of the other bands.

Metallica is going to be one of those bands you look back on in the year 2008, that people will still listen to the way I still listen to Zeppelin and Sabbath albums.

Keep On Trying
Everybody is lazy
Nobody wants to do anything
Everyones crazy
At times I think Ive had enough of it
Living together
Its not a easy thing to begin
Making life a little better
Takes the power of your second please
Ive been around to love
Im trying hard, I know
I havent reach my ball
Ill do what I have to do
Someday well see it through
As long as I have you
Weve got to keep on pushing
(weve got to keep on pushing)
Weve got to keep on trying
(weve got to keep on trying)
Weve got to keep on pushing
(weve got to keep on pushing)
Weve got to keep on trying
(weve got to keep on trying)
Weve got to keep on pushing
(weve got to keep on pushing)
Weve got to keep on trying
(weve got to keep on trying)
Weve got to keep on pushing
(weve got to keep on pushing)
Weve got to keep on trying
(weve got to keep on trying)

Top Of The Pops
Ive just come in at number 25
Im oh so happy, so glad to be alive
And everybody says its going to get to the top
Life is so easy when your records hot.
Go tell my mamma and my sister too
To press my trousers and polish my shoes
I might even end up a rock-and-roll god
It might turn into a steady job.
And my agent said to me: son, I always told you so.
Now my records number 11 on the bbc
But number seven on the n.m.e.
Not the melody maker want to interview me
And ask my view on politics and theories on religion.
Now my records up to number 3
And a woman recognized me and started to scream
This all seems like a crazy dream
Ive been invited to a dinner with a prominent queen
And now Ive got friends that I never knew I had before.
Its strange how people want you when you records high
cos when it drops down they just pass you by
Now my agent just called me and said it me:
Son your records just got to number one.

When I think of the artists I admire and seek out musically. It's because I'm curious about where they're going to go the next time they have a chance to put a record out. It's not about where I find them on the radio dial, or how many records they're selling.

I followed most of the 80's bands into the 90's as most of those folks who hadn't moved away were all still active. However, there was a point when I lost track of the new bands coming up.

Locomotive Breath
[Jethro Tull]
In the shuffling madness
Of the locomotive breath
Runs the all time loser
Headlong to his death
And he feels the piston scraping
Steam breaking on his brow
Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train, it won't stop going
No way to slow down, oh
He sees his children jumping off
At stations one by one
His woman and his best friend
In bed and having fun
And oh, he's crawling down the corridor
On his hands and knees
Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train, it won't stop going
No way to slow down, oh
No way to slow down
He hears the silence howling
When he catches angels as they fall
And the all time winner
Has got him by the balls
Oh, and he picks up Gideon's Bible
And it's open at page one
I think God, he stole the handle
And the train, it won't stop going
No way to slow down
No way to slow down
No way to slow down
No way to slow down

The meeting of both blood
The rush of the sea racing towards the point of the start
The harsh collision in the outer corners of the sea
Pushing the rocks over like a pushing a mouse on the computer
Nothing would stop the sea to reach the other.
On the other side of the anxious sea
Yet another whirling of water came in a flash
They both met at the starting point
The sound of the waves crashing were deafening to all that heard
The blood can mix with the other
They have doomed to earth as we know it
The meeting of both blood

Forever Changed
Train entering the city
I lost myself and never came back
Took a trip around the world and never came back
Black silhouettes, crisscrossed tracks, never came back
Forever changed
Forever changed
You might think Im frivolous, uncaring and cold
You might think Im empty, depends on your point of view
Society andy who paints and records them
The high and the low, never turn back
Forever changed
Forever changed
Forever changed
Forever changed
Got to get to the city, get a job
Got to get some work to see me through
My old lifes behind, I see it receding
My lifes disappearing, disappearing from view
Hong kong and I was changed
Burma, thailand and I was changed
A few good friends to see me through
Henry and brigid to see me through
Only art to see me through
Only heart to see me through
My old lifes disappearing, disappearing from view
Forever changed
Forever changed
I was forever changed

Samba Do Approach
venha provar meu brunch
saiba que eu tenho approach
na hora do lunch
eu ando de ferryboat
eu tenho savoir-faire
meu temperamento light
minha casa hi-tec
toda hora rola um insight
ja fui fa do jethro tull
hoje me amarro no Slash
minha vida agora cool
meu passado que foi trash
fica ligada no link
que eu vou confessar my love
depois do dcimo drink
s um bom e velho engov
eu tirei o meu green card
e fui pra Miami Beach
posso nao ser pop star
mas ja sou um noveau riche
eu tenho sex-appeal
saca s meu background
veloz como Damon Hill
tenaz como Fittipaldi
nao dispenso um happy end
quero jogar no dream team
de dia um macho man
e de noite um drag queen
