Play not with paradoxes. That caustic which you handle in order to scorch others may happen to sear your own fingers and make them dead to the quality of things.

I Believe
when the ride
has its ups and downs
to turn your pretty face
to an ugly frown
seems that when i fix one thing
another one comes
clouding up my vision
but i can feel the sun
i believe that i can do this
i know that i can win
as long as i have
his love within
i believe that i can make it
i can make it through the night
i believe that i can walk on
with my head held high
i believe that i am special
in every way
but in ordewr to have my victory
i gotta believe
i have to see
myself at the finish line
i have to visualize
that everything will fall in line
i have to visualize the land
while riding throught the storm
i have to trust in my father
and open up my heart
i believe that i can do this
i know that i can win
as long as i have
his love within
i believe that i can make it
i can make it through the night
i believe thast i can walk on
with my head held high
i believe that i am special

but in order to have my vitory....
oh heartbreak (i can handle it)
and heart pain (i can handle it)
being let down (i can handle it)
no ones around (i can handle it)
i believe i can (i can handle it)

Things Happen For Their Reasons
Things happen for their reasons.
And there is no need to make excuses,
For the obviousness...
Of those mistakes made.
Things happen for their reasons.
And,
What is there to say...
That can excuse mistakes away.
Stop that need to medicate.
Things happen for their reasons.
Why waste time in prolonged debates.
Thing happen for their reasons.
What is the purpose for seeking escapes.
Things happen for their reasons.
Acceptance eases,
The facing of one's fate.
Things happen for their reasons.
They happen for their reasons.
Stop that need to feed on grief.
Things happen for their reasons.
Why squeeze a healing wound to bleed.
Things happen for their reasons
They happen for their reasons.
And aging doesn't make one safe.
Or offer escapades as a gateway to charade.
Things happen for their reasons.
They happen for their reasons.
Things happen for their reasons.
And there is no need to make excuses,
For the obviousness...
Of those mistakes made.
Even while one ages,
With a life reminisced played on many stages...
Try their best to gracefully accept,
Things happen for their reasons.
And those experienced,
Eventually see this.
Things happen for their reasons.
And in the living of one's life...
A discovery reveals,
Those reasons with insight.

Can U Handle It?
[Usher speaking]
What's up baby
I'm so glad I got you here
I'm so in love with you
And I don't ever wanna lose you
I wanna take this to the next level
I hope you ready
Now that you're here
I got somethin' to say baby
I think that you should know
You're givin' the most, suga
So don't worry 'bout the situation
I'd never let you go
[Chorus]
Can you handle it
If I go there baby with you
I can handle it
I can go there baby with you
Oh I hear you talkin' babe
Can you handle it
Can I go there baby with you
We gon' set it off
We gon' tear it up
Baby can you handle
Wooooo baby
You say all the time
You only want the best of my love
Now I can see that
There's only one way to tear it up
Yeah
I'm willing to tell you
Everything I let stand between us
But what if I tell you too much
What about you babe
Will you tell me
All the freaky things you are
Before I do
Need you to know
If we make it through
Our love will grow
Oooh ho ho
Imagine how amazing things would be
[Chorus]
Can you handle it
Can I go there baby with you
We gon' set it of
We gon' tear it up
Baby can u handle
I can handle it
I can go there baby with you
Oh I hear you talkin' babe
We gon' set it out
We gon' work it out
Baby can you handle
Oooh hey yeah baby
I fear sometimes in my mind
That you won't wanna stay with my love
Oh baby
If I can be sure
Inside out that you know exactly
The man that comes to see you
I'll go deep as I can
Giving you the rest of my love
But what if I tell you too much
Uhhhhh
So much to explore
So much we have yet to discover
I ask myself
Should I go there
Should I do it
Yeeeaaahhh oooooh
Can I give it to you fully
Can you handle it
[Chorus]
Can you handle it
If I go there baby with you
We gon' lay it out
We gon' tear it up
Baby can u handle
I can handle it
I can go there baby with you
We gon' set it out
We gon' make it out
Baby can you handle
Can you handle it
Can I go there baby with you
We gon' set it off
We gon' tear it up
Baby can you handle
We gon' set it out
We gon' work it out
Baby can you handle
Can you handle it
Can I go there baby with you
We gon' set it off
We gon' tear it up
Baby can you handle

I Gotta Believe
ooh! ooh!(talk about it) 2x
Verse 1:
You know life, has it's ups and downs,
turn your pretty face, into an ugly frown.
Seems that when I fix one thing,
another one comes, clouding up my vision,
And I can feel the sun, i believe that I can do this,
I know that I can win, just as long as I have his love within.
Chorus:
I believe that I can make it, I can make it through the night
I believe that I can walk on, with my head held high,
I believe that I am special in every way,
But in order to have my victory(I gotta believe) Ooh!
(Everbody help me say!!!) (Chorus)
(Take your time and tell them how to make it.)(1st chorus only)
Verse 2:
I have to see myself at the finish line (Talk about it)
I have to visualize that everything will fall in line (Talk about it)
I have to visualize the land while riding through the storm,
I have to trust in my father and open up my heart.
I know that I can do this, I know that I can win,
Just as long as I have his love within.
(Chorus)
Bridge:
Ohh! Heartbreak (I can handle that)
And heart pain (I can handle that)
Being let down (I can handle that)
No One's around (I can handle that)
I believe I can (I can handle that)
I receive I can (I can handle that)
And now I'm walking right into my victory!!!!!

There is a quality even meaner than outright ugliness or disorder, and this meaner quality is the dishonest mask of pretended order, achieved by ignoring or suppressing the real order that is struggling to exist and to be served.

Get On Your Feet
You say I know its a waste of time
Theres no use trying
So scared that lifes gonna pass you by
Your spirit dying
Not long ago
I could feel your strength and your devotion
What was so clear, is now overcast
With mixed emotions
Deep in your heart is the answer
Find it, I know it will pull you through
Get on your feet
Get up and make it happen
Get on your feet
Stand up and take some action
I think its true that weve all been through
Some nasty weather
Lets understand that were here
To handle things together
You gotta keep looking onto tomorrow
Theres so much in life
Thats meant for you
Get on your feet
Get up and make it happen
Get on your feet
Stand up and take some action
Get on your feet
Dont stop before its over
Get on your feet
The weight is off your shoulder
Get up and make it happen
Stand up, stand up, stand up and take some action
Gotta get on your feet, yeah, yeah
Dont stop before its over
Get on your feet
The weight is off your shoulder
Get on your feet
Get up, get up, get up and make it happen
Get on your feet
Stand up , stand up and take some action
Get on your feet

Cosmic Estuary...by Talile Ali
here goes.
ever since i discovered
that all that we were was living an illusion,
i have wanted to know the where and why of it.
thru investigation,
i have discovered a great deal, all of which
seems to confirm the illusion and
the reasons why we need to perpetuate it.
there are a lot of things going on in our
perpetuating this illusion
of the lives that
we have ourselves to commit
we are social animals.
being so, we need to address
the two major drives we all have
to exist
we have want and needs.
in order to want to survive.
we have wants and needs
in order to want to live
These two drives
Created this illusion
of our lives
And how we perceive ourselves within it
we have defined ourselves as being divine
different from other animals.
this is the beginning of our
delusion, being humans.
we needed to define ourselves as a distinctive being
in order to want to go far
are we the only animal who have illusions
about who and what they are?
all living things need to believe in
who and what they are as art
if thing's do not have a motive to exist,
they ceases to be real in their heart's.
THAT IS WHY FAITH IS SO IMPORTANT.
in our situation,
we have created this fantical mythos
so grand that it allowed us
to live long in such ghost's.
In the instance of the other species,
their mythos is exactly what it needs to be
in order for them to perform
the functions we so desperately need
thats right,
we need all things
to want to survive
in order for us to want to be alive.
that is the power of faith
in all living things.
from the tiniest atom to the grandest of universes,
there is this purpose to be well.
to be well.
it is in our desire
to be well
that all things may flow.
from plants to human
to atoms to microbes,
being well is the function
we all know.
but since all things have
something known as free choice,
we have consequences that are so cold and true
disaster is often the result of listening to those voices
we chose to put caustic materials
in or bodies for consumption at times
the result is we end up diseased up
from trying to metabolize things we can't even describe
If this is true for us known beings and all that we know
is it also true for the cosmos which also ebbs and flows?

When Things Didn’t Happen As You’d Thought…
When things didn’t happen as you’d thought,
May be, the Almighty intends,
To do them in a different way,
And make you fitter for the job,
That you can’t handle anyway!
And make your mind and heart better,
And body physically well,
To take on assignments tougher,
And do them most successfully.
And give you nerves of steel-like strength,
And stamina to withstand stress,
And soul of grace to avoid sin,
And prepare yourself for heaven.
So, tune your heart, mind, body, soul,
And patiently expect all things,
For, when God does things in His way,
Nothing can go wrong any day!

The Winner
Written by c. jackson, m. yancy and g. barge
In this world of make believe I must confess
To be number one youve got to do it better
And if you strive to be happy youll find success
Perspectively youve got to pull it together
Nothing good will come to you if you dont see
A reason for victory
Everybody loves the winner
Only the winner can really make things happen
Everybody loves the winner, so be the winner, I know you are
If theres something youd like to do youve never done
Dont let fear stand in your way
Just collect your dreams and thoughts and get on the run
I wouldnt wait another day
You can be the best in everything you do
When it thawls out, its all up to you
Everybody loves the winner (everybody loves the winner)
Only a winner can really make things happen
Everybody loves a winner (everybody loves a winner)
So be the winner you are
Be a winner, ooh (yes you can, yes you can, yes you can)
Be a winner, ooh (yes you can, yes you can, yes you can)
Be a winner, a winner, a winner, yes you can
cause everybody (everybody) loves (loves a winner)
The winner, so be a winner
You can only make things happen
Everybody (everybody) loves a winner (loves a winner)
So be the winner, I know you are
Every (everybody), everybody, (loves a winner)
Really loves the winner, (so be a winner)
Only the winner can really make things happen
Everybody (everybody) loves the winner (loves a winner)
So be a winner (so be a winner), I know you are if you really try
Be a winner, you know you can, you know you can
You know you can be a winner
(yes you can, yes you can, yes you can)
Scat (yes you can, yes you can, yes you can)
Scat
(everybody) yeah, (loves a winner)
Scat
(everybody loves a winner)
(everybody) everybody really loves a winner (loves a winner)!

Sonnet-All Happen as God Wants
All things of Nature happen in God's ways;
Each seed and frond; each flower and tree-He grows;
All things must happen in His time and days;
Each life is kindled by the Lord, of course.
Man has a part in everything we see;
Yet, Nature takes the upper hand always;
Unexpected things happen too, may be;
God gives His grace to face well if man prays.
And grief and death must also come some day;
Each tumor grows as per the will of God;
All earthlings are destined to die some way;
We come from dust and must go back to clod.
Yet, prayer can make miracles happen;
Just like how fruits enlarge in size, ripen.

Saturday Morning
Saturday Morning
And whos gonna play with me?
Six in the morning, baby
I got a long, long day ahead of me
The parents are sleeping soundly
The neighbors are dead as wood
Im getting up and coming over
We gotta rock the neighborhood
Nothings ever gonna happen round here
If we dont make it happen
Sleep away the day if you want to
But I got something that I gotta do
Its Saturday Morning
And this aint the place for me
Im giving you warning, baby
We got a whole big, fat, world to see
Nothings ever gonna happen round here
If we dont make it happen
Sleep away the day if you want to
But I got something that I gotta do
Its Saturday Morning
And whos gonna play with me?
Six in the morning, baby
I got a long, long day ahead of me
Saturday morning

Obviously dunking on Horace Grant and Michael, in those circumstances, is just an incredible thing to happen. I'm happy I was able to make that play, and I'm fortunate I was in that position where I could make that happen for my team.

The quality of mercy (conditions apply)
The quality of mercy,
Portia declared,
the quality of mercy is
suspended during the present conflict
the quality of mercy is
not the business of a Minister of Justice
the quality of mercy is
not a matter of individual conscience
the quality of mercy is
too subtle for public discussion
or law
the quality of mercy is
only for Shakespeare and stuff
the quality of mercy is
less stimulating than revenge
the quality of mercy is
no business of yours
the quality of mercy is
no concern of religious authorities
who should stay silent
the quality of mercy is
an outdated concept
the quality of mercy is
nothing to do with forgiveness
or circumstantial evidence
or the remission of sins
the quality of mercy is
no longer a matter of pride
the quality of mercy is
no longer a mark of humanity
the quality of mercy
would be OK if Obama said so
the quality of mercy
is one hell of a hot potato
cooked in oil
the quality of mercy
droppeth as the gentle
dew from heaven
upon a broken fuselage
and it is too much
or too little
for our understanding.

Loosen My Strings
Wake up in the morning
Get into bed
Closing my eyes
I rest my head
There is no arrangement
No time no place
Its gone in the wind
And left no trace
Who can say,
Maybe or whatever.
Its up to you
You know you can
Trust me
Ill make it up to you
You move with the action
You loosen my strings
Your fingers
Can smooth out my jangles
And all those things
Grease on the handle
And the tangles
In my hair
They always seem
To go together
I dont care
