Chant For Dark Hours
Some men, some men
Cannot pass a
Book shop.
(Lady, make your mind up, and wait your life away.)
Some men, some men
Cannot pass a
Crap game.
(He said he'd come at moonrise, and here's another day!)
Some men, some men
Cannot pass a
Bar-room.
(Wait about, and hang about, and that's the way it goes.)
Some men, some men
Cannot pass a
Woman.
(Heaven never send me another one of those!)
Some men, some men
Cannot pass a

(Read a book, and sew a seam, and slumber if you can.)

Cannot pass a

Saved A Dance For You
a healthy impulse of moving along the lines
a beautiful impulse of moving the plateaux of limestone minds
a wonderful impulse of healing the moments in time
in rhythm blasts wearing off the masks

What else can I?
A youthful girl is on her way.
She crosses my way every day.
Her way takes her to a boy
She is in love with, people say.
Why should I stand and wait
For her to pass my way every day?
My thatched roof slackens above;
My concrete floor cracking under,
With doors loosened and windows rusting,
Why should I stand and wait
For her to pass my way every day?
I want to see her pass my way
So that I can see her spirited gay.
What else can I look for at this stage?

Thoughts Pass...
Thoughts pass...
Thought less give I...
To things in mind's absence that pass...
Flee over a fleeting thought...
Impulse restless, reckless, unrest...
My belonging I lost...
To an hour of muse...
Deserved which much contemplate,
Assistance of sensibilities well measured.

Without You
If I can last through another sunrise
In the past I knew what to do
But this was such a grim surprise
If I wait for the sun to shine
How can I pass the time
Without you, without you
If I can break the spell that is in me
Any fool would no where to go
I huess Id better send a mayday
If I find me a rainbows end
How will I find it then
Without you, without you
Without you
Wait til I see you next time
Maybe Ill lose my mind
Livin without you
If I can last, wait until the wind dies
Ive been all up and down like a clown
And this is such a thin disguise
If I wait for the sun to shine
How will I pass the time
Without you, without you
Without you
Wait til I see you next time
Maybe Ill lose my mind
Livin without you
Without you, without you
Without you, without you

If you have an impulse, not if you're going to ruin someone elses' scene, if you have an impulse of a funny little add-on or taking something in a weird direction, try it.

Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse.

To Wait Is A Pleasure
To wait for a baby;
To wait for an event;
To wait for a result.
Anything to wait for
With love and hope nourishes.
To wait for surgery;
To wait for a verdict;
To wait for an arrest.
Anything to wait for
With hate and dread worries.
Receive when it comes.
Let it go when it slips.
Don’t wait for a fortune,
Which is a prostitute.
Wait if it gives pleasure.

The Years Past
I gave love time money
I waited hours each time
you were late without reason
embracing you with genuine love
when you finally eventually arrive
you set friends up against me
your ego demanding centre stage
spot light achieved vanity requires
you flirted always unfaithful playgirl
yet you believed ‘I treat you badly! ’
'you do not think you do! '
chasing nice ass in blue jeans
drinking in bar with ego’s idol
(while I wait suffer ever alone)
enjoying socially knowing I will wait
the years pass leaving lies exposed
the years pass testing eternal patience
the years pass wearing upon weary heart
the years pass in gossip shame ridicule
the years pass leaving us eternally alone

Magic And Loss
When you pass through the fire
you pass through humble
You pass through a maze of self doubt
When you pass through humble
the lights can blind you
Some people never figure that out
You pass through arrogance you pass through hurt
You pass through an ever present past
and it's best not to wait for luck to save you
Pass through the fire to the light
As you pass through the fire
your right hand waving
there are things you have to throw out
That caustic dread inside your head
will never help you out
You have to be very strong
'cause you'll start from zero
over and over again
And as the smoke clears
there's an all consuming fire
lying straight ahead
They say no one person can do it all
but you want to in your head
But you can't be Joyce
so what is left instead
You're stuck with yourself
and a rage that can hurt you
You have to start at the beginning again
And just this moment
This wonderful fire started up again
When you pass through humble
when you pass through sickly
When you pass through
I'm better than you all
When you pass through
anger and self deprecation
and have the strength to acknowledge it all
When the past makes you laugh
and you can savor the magic
that let you survive your own war
You find that that fire is passion
and there's a door up ahead not a wall
As you pass through fire as you pass through fire
trying to remember its name
When you pass through fire licking at your lips
you cannot remain the same
And if the building' burning
move towards that door
but don't put the flames out
There's a bit of magic in everything
and then some loss to even

Hey, Where Are You
And the raincoat shone into the sun
As we walked down the street as one
Into the [all pleasant ? ] bloom
Of a saturday afternoon.
And we strolled the walls and kicked our heels
Upon the grass on which we fell and sang a song
We loved to sing so well,
And the raindrops came on down on sallys head
As she cuddled up inside a coat of red and said,
Hey, where are you?
Where you goin to? yeah, yeah
Oh, why cant I come too?
stead of leavin me here
Oh so lonely, lonely, lonely, wait on me.
Wait on me.
Wait on me.
[vm mumbles instruction to payne? @1:44]
And into the trees and forest we did roam,
The way we danced into the sparkling foam shining our light into the days of blooming wonder,
And the gray man at the bus station raised his head into the sky and said, have you got your ticket? I said, I got it, how?
But I got it. pass on through the swingin barrier now.
And the raindrops came on down on sallys head
And she cuddled up inside a coat of red and said,
Hey, where are you?
Where you goin to?
Why cant I come too?
Instead of leavin me here
Oh so lonely,
Oh so lonely, lonely,
Lonely, just wait on me.
Wait on me, babe.
I cant keep up, I cant keep up, I cant keep up.
Hey fellas,
A-wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute,
I cant keep up.
Wait a minute, wait a minute,
You gotta stop,
Wait on me.
Wait on me.
I cant keep up, I cant keep up, I cant keep up, you gotta
Wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, yeah, yeah.
Wait a minute, wait a minute,
Hey, hey, hey, yeah,
Hold on,
You gotta stop.
I cant keep up, cant keep up, I cant keep up, you gotta,
Hey, yeah,
Hold on, hold on,
Wait on me.
Wait on me.
Wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, wait on me, yeah, yeah, alright.
Baby, baby.
Dont go,
Please dont go.
Please dont go.

Give It Up
You got your sugar
You got your spice
You got a kitten
Now isn't that nice
You just can't wait for a picnic in Spring
I just get nauseous
When I think of those things
You wait and wait and you wait for a lifetime
For a little piece of cake in the night time yeah
You wait and wait you can't wait any longer
You wait and wait

The Wait
(originally recorded by killing joke)
[one, two, three, four]
Motives changing, day to day
The fire increases, masks decay
I look at the river, white foam floats down
The bodys poisoned, gotta sit tight
The wait
The wait
The wait
The wait
After wakening, silence grows
The screams subside, distortion shows
Mutant thoughts, of bad mouthed news
Its just another birth, of distorted views
The wait
The wait
The wait
The wait
The wait
The wait
The wait
The wait

Heaven's Gate
Grass over my grave
So I died,
So long before you cried.
And now I wait at Heaven's gate,
Will they let me pass?
I doubt.
The things I did in my past
They now stand on my way
At Heaven's gate.
Lucifer! bare my heart,
Christ! hear my cry;
I wait at the gate
To your heart,
And they wont let me pass

While I Wait
If I'm...
Giving up too much love.
Can I,
Get it back in my time?
Will I have to moan and whine...
While I wait.
Will I find some peace of mind this time,
While I wait.
While I wait...
Should I say anything about me?
While I wait...
Or should I,
Sit and stare?
While I wait.
While I wait.
When I know this 'trip',
Has run out of fare.
While I wait.
While I wait.
Should I say anything about me?
While I wait...
Or should I,
Sit and stare?
While I wait.
While I wait.
When I know this 'trip',
Has run out of fare.
While I wait.
While I wait.
While I wait...
When I know this 'trip',
Has run out of fare.
While I wait.
While I wait.
While I wait.
While I wait.

Territorial Pissings
{intro thing}
When I was a little lad
Coal trains were not built yet
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Never met a wise man
If so its a woman
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Just because youre paranoid
Dont mean theyre not after you
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
Gotta find a way
I better wait
I better wait
