I have no experience performing that music live in front of an audience. So that remains to be seen. I'm very excited to see what that's going to be like.

I Get So Excited
(ian hunter)
I hear a thousand drums a million miles away
I feel the wembley rock I get a buzz off a big parade
I get the music
Everywhere
Get off on the music
If this is the end there I dont care
I get so excited
So excited
Call me a fan thats just what I am
I said I i I i I get
So excited
So excited
My nerves are alive
I feel like a knife
I said I get so excited
I hear a choir singing way up above the sea
I feel the sound a-changing as the night rocks a spell on me
I get the music
Everywhere
Get off on the music
If this is the end there I dont care I get
So excited
So excited
Ill throw you a line come far behind
I said I i I i I get
So excited
So excited
Its happening so fast
And the drummers a blast
I said I get so excited
By your mind oh yeah oh yeah
Excited by your warmth oh yeah oh yeah
Excited by your body oh yeah oh yeah

So excited
So excited
Call me a fan thats just what I am
I said I i I i I i I get

I miss performing before a live audience - the energy and excitement - there's nothing to compare with it.
I was jumping out of my skin. It was horrible. I was all over the place, because I'd never been in front of a live audience. That's a whole other element in the play, the audience.

All of the material for The Fine Line was created via improvisation with my partner, but not in front of an audience. We'd continue to refine it in front of an audience based on their responses until it was set and scripted.

I can go in front of an orchestra. I can go in front of an audience. But if you see me walking through an audience in the reception or through a lot of people, I'm still shy.

Dancing With The One-Legged...
Manson:...you're gonna have a bunch of angry kids.
Some Guy In the Audience: Well when you do go out to a club, that, you just
gotta watch yourself whatever you do. You just can't 'speckt to go out there
and just dance and don't get touched and non-violent because that's what it is.
The music--
Donahue: I, I don't see how you--
Some Guy In the Audience: If you get the music inside your soul, anything can
happen. You don't play the music, you can't get it. It's the music.
Donahue: The music?
Parent: Music is dangerous.

Playing in front of an audience was just such a turn-on for me, and you have 200 people in the audience and it's like doing live theater. And filming something that goes to millions of people several weeks later, it's an interesting dynamic.

There Are a Lot of People in the World Called Jack
There’s an old man singing
Out on his front porch
Strumming his guitar
Like it’s 1954.
It may have been a while
But he remembers every chord
And although it doesn’t look like much
It’s all he could afford.
Yes, the paint is peeling
And the strings are wearing thin
And it’s still sporting the logo
Of the band he once was in
But every cent he ever earned
Bought him that guitar
He should have known that green ambition
Never gets you far.
His fingers pace the tired strings.
Performing through the days
Mister-Money-Buys-You-Talent
So-I’m-Al ways-Going-To-Pay.
Stupid to the audience
Who stand around and stare
He closes his eyes and flutters back
Forgets his silver hair.
When he carried solos
With the music in his arms
Failure was not a choice
Nothing could do him harm.
As the final bar echoes
A chord dies in his hands
He falls down hard onto his porch,
And ceases the painful sound.
His weary face stares from his hands
The audience just smile,
Walk from the man and his guitar
Always in denial.

I've been working at performing for five years now. I've been working in Australia and Spain and England. When I was only 15 or 16, 1 was performing in bars; I could have had legal problems, but it's also the only way to get to know what music is all about.
The Society Knows It
Affluence is the audience
For art and music.
Perversion is the audience
For dance and romance.
Monogamy is the audience
For porn and blue films.
The society is aware of it
And condone it for a purpose.

Excited
Excited
Mean to me is
Ready to get something
I been waiting for
Like my permit or CD/DVD/Phone
Excited
Is one thing
I don't keep
Doing because
It's go to turn into bad luck
Excited
On the other hand
When I want something so bad it can happen
All I have to do is be patient and
It can be a good thing
Excited
Can mean so much
Like getting this feeling
When you are with someone you love so much
You just can't stop feeling like that
Excited
Is expressed on my face of how I
Feel right now
I just want to let it out and
Be crazy
Excited

In other words, I think that if an audience listens to something as an experience of how in tune it is or something of that kind, that the whole point is somehow being missed, and the music has failed.
