As we saw in the Queen's Speech, anti-social behaviour - a phenomenon that I believe to be a genuine worry that is also being fed by a lot of scare stories - is the political theme of the moment.

Freedom of Speech?
You can't say that.
It's not politically correct.
If you say that you may offend...
and you will stand accused
of Anti Feminism, Anti Semitism,
Anti Americanism.
The media's gone mad.
Judging every word, every nuance,
letting one little word, 'stupidly'
overshadow the real issue.
Not even the President can
say what he really thinks.
Does anyone remember
Freedom of Speech?
You can say what you believe,
even when we disagree,
it's O.K with me.
I won't call you Anti.

Community Flood Damage Control
emotive political
anti-war poems
innocent poems

flagging red

reeks smacks
of McCarthyism
reds under beds
political clout
muscle flexes
cannot agree
rational disagree
this trauma land
in which citizens
we all presently
live community
is blame infected
intolerance hate
it gives an urgency
to anti-hate policies
instead of many
standing around
playing blaming
responsibility

it is high tide time
we all collectively

Call This Whatever You Wish
Call this anti-social.
Call it whatever you believe it is!
But I had awakened one day,
Knowing I was through with nonsense.
And those who participated...
In the distribution of foolishness.
While the quality of life...
And the standards of it diminished.
As those immature around me age,
Condoning it as if it should exist!
Call it whatever you will.
Call this whatever you wish.
Call me anti-social, please!
If a clue I leave...
Says anything about my involvement.
And my need to protect my peace and happiness!

It is not necessary to dwell on the political and social principles of Islam, to underline how close they also are in spirit to the concepts of human rights which govern the political and social systems of the West.
You can't trust politicians. It doesn't matter who makes a political speech. It's all lies - and it applies to any rock star who wants to make a political speech as well.

What Is It They Don't Understand?
Why haven't they boarded the lifeboats?
~They first wish to discuss,
Political correctness and social etiquette.
And what 'is' or isn't poetic.~
AND...
They 'are' aware of the ship sinking?
~They first wish to discuss,
Political correctness and social etiquette.
And what 'is' or isn't poetic.~
What is it they don't understand?

Most politicians - those people who live, eat and breathe politics - like to sit around and talk about politics and tell political war stories. Reagan didn't do that. His war stories were movie war stories and Hollywood war stories. He loved that.

The preservation of life seems to be rather a slogan than a genuine goal of the anti-abortion forces what they want is control. Control over behavior power over women. Women in the anti-choice movement want to share in male power over women, and do so by denying their own womanhood, their own rights and responsibilities.

Disturbing Behavior
Disturbing behaviour on the common front;
She wants perfect behviour out of everyone
She's got a bone to pick with you
And you don't know what to do;
She says your cheating days are through
And you know what you can do
Impropriety got the best of me
Impropriety wrote my destiny
Disturbing behaviour on the common front;
She wants perfect behaviour out of everyone
Outrageous behaviour convinces everyone
We want perfect behaviour out of everyone

Protect Individual Rights
To precisely follow set
traditions an accepted
professed social cultural
religious rule of conduct
such actions are perceived
a model of good conduct?
In a healthy society such
behaviour should earn an
individual esteemed title
recognition as a good person
of genuine moral principles
responsibility as a role model.
A fundamental doctrine or tenet
is an agreed upon social contract
a distinctive conduct ruling opinion
a guiding sense of requirements
obligations enforce right conduct
moral principle is honour bound.
A fixed predetermined policy
a standard of lawful behavior
a sound law of moral judgments
decisions based on beneficial principles
ensures guarantees civilized society will
protect individual rights for benefit of all.

Drawn To Death
Her demeanor can be ever so bleak
As her fascination with death overwhelms
Her heart as hardened as the grave stones she visits
Grey days and muted tones-her aura
The less is more people-her religion
Anti-social of anti social
Obsessions of suffocation she cannot deny
Her soon to be victims-a forewarning
Fortune teller beware
As her agenda's are hidden
The night-her best friend
Visits her frequently
Her profession: Hired Assasin
Done without thought or twinge of conscience
The mob keeps her in designer ware
And a hidden lush home on the side
Not a Surprise!
She's about to strike again
So cock sure of herself
So sure her reality is covered
Winter comes calling
This will be her last one free
For this time the hit is on her
They're waiting...
