Understanding

It seems like only yesterday
I didn't have a clue
I stood alone not knowin where to turn
Now suddenly I look around
And everything looks new
I don't know why, but I think I'm startin' to learn
They call it understanding
A willingness to grow
I'm finally understanding
There's so much I can know
Until the day you came along
I used to just get lost
I only heard the things I wanted to hear
It always seemed like no one cared
But then you took the time
And now I look and everything seems clear
You've got me understanding
You've really helped me see
I'm finally understanding
It's meant so much to me
You've got me understanding
You're really on my side
You've got me understanding

0182 Parents (2)

OK, you don’t have to believe this;
but it’s worth thinking about.

Here’s the theory – it’s as beautifully
simple, and as subtle in its implications,
as any mathematician would enjoy:

In the succession of our lives,
leading by so many, many rebirths
to our perfection, each life
is shaped by our actions
in the previous life

and, deep, deep in our soul -
which wants only the best for us,
while we live through what’s laid down
by our past – some sublime reasoning
sets up the handicaps which we must
transcend in our next life; that is, this one

rather as if a jockey or a show-jumper
sets up the hedges, fences, walls, and water-jumps
for themself, so that they themself
may test themself to ride a greater course,
maybe a perfect round..

I’ll cut the moral, here. It’s all
beyond acceptance, and personal forgiveness, though
that’s a start; just a lifetime of
opportunities to ‘make something of yourself’
knowing in your heart that ultimately -
that is, right now -
it’s for the good

so, for a nice friendly family start:
you yourself chose your parents..

OK, you don’t have to believe this;
but it’s worth thinking about?

Understanding and Knowledge

Those who know don’t talk;
Those who talk don’t know;
Those who speak don’t write;
Those who write don’t speak.

Those who think don’t actions;
Those who actions don’t think;
Those who think don’t judge;
Those who judge don’t do.

Small understanding is no match for great understanding;
Small knowledge cannot understand great knowledge knows.
Great wisdom has great understanding;
Great knowledge has wise sayings.

Great knowledge and understanding is wide and vast;
Small knowledge and understanding is trivial and cramped.
Great speech blaze forth as a huge fire;
Small speech is empty and trivial.

We understand what is appropriate;
Because of what we understand to be inappropriate.
We understand right;
Because of our understanding of wrong.

Use the light of wisdom to see,
Beyond the world of right and wrong.
One can only really understand things,
By understanding one’s true self.

Talk To Me

(David Grissom/Kevin Hunter)
If your heart is willing, then your head can rest
Start at the beginning, lay it down on my chest
If your soul is living, do your best
Start at the beginning, I'll do the rest
If you can tell me what you're thinking
Find the words for how you feel
Understanding is forgiving
I can give you what you need
Darling, talk to me
As I sit here breathing, as I watch you undress
As your shoulder catches the sun in the west
As you cry so softly, put your fears to rest
Forgive yourself, let your tears steal your breath
If you can tell me what you're thinking
Find the words for how you feel
Understanding is forgiving
I can give you what you need
Darling, talk to me
If you can tell me what you're thinking
Find the words for how you feel
Understanding is forgiving
I can give you what you need
Darling, talk to me
Talk to me
Talk to me

Unceasingly the essence of things is taking shape in the matter of things, and this unspeakable process we call birth and growth. Awhile the spirit and the matter fade away together, and it is this that we call decadence, death. These two happenings seem jointed and interdependent, blended into one like a bubble and its iridescence, and they seem borne along upon a slowly moving air. This air is wonderful past all understanding.

Forgetting The Pain

What is this feeling.
My gut turns.
My insides set ablaze.
Oh how they burn.
A knot in my throat.
And a tear in my eye.
Is this what they call sadness?
Is this what they call remorse?
Is this what they call grief?
But it is only a tiny creature I barely have known.
How could it ever effect me so?
I don't understand why it happens.
But I don't want it no more.
If only I could get rid of it by throwing it out the door.
Please disappear, I beg of you have mercy on the very essence of my soul.
And the next morning I wake it's completely gone.
But only so long as I don't think about it.

Bullets And Kisses

My bullets are kisses.
Let me send them to everyone of you.
Let them poison the very essence of your soul.
Let me claim another victim.
Let me dig another grave of the forgotten.
Memories dead, stale, and rotten.

Heat seeking missile are only sent destroy.
Man less drones are deployed.
Books to a religion burned.
Peace will be destroyed.
It is impossible to avoid.
Unrest on steroids.

You want to trust and be trusted.
But you have no understanding of a culture.
You disrespect it everyday.
You create martyrs by your mistakes.
With every action you make it just escalates.
Fear spreads like fire in a very drought ridden forest.
Let me ask you how do you plan on exactly putting out?

You must get out.
It was never your responsibility.
We are not the divinity.
We are not here to save you.
With so much blood on our hands how can we still be wearing that cape?
Do we not understand what is at stake?
We just continue to create pure hate.

Greed is why we are sending our soldiers away from home.
Controlling chaos.
A symphony of stealing while their not looking.
If we are their long enough soon or later we will corrupt.
And that´s just little messed up.

Slavery can be bought and sold.
Back door deals.
A fake government at least thats the way the people feel.
And are they really that off target?
After all they are the are people.
A pulse beating, breathing life into their own country.

2u
I hope that youve been thinking about me
Chorus
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
Pick up the phone to call you
But I hung up cause Im so afraid
Afraid of rejection
Or another woman in your face
Hopin all day that you would call me
And that youre thinkin of me too
Well in my case with the game of love
If I played I would probably lose
Chorus
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
I hope that youre thinkin of me
And I pray every night you love me
I dont ever want what we have to end
And Ill always be your friend
Dont you feel me calling from afar
If you dont know Ive been there from the start
As sure as my name is what it is
Youll always have a place in my heart
Chorus
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
Ooh, ooh, ooh....
I hope that you have been thinking of me
The way that I have been thinking of you
When I pray every night
That its me in your dreams when your sleepin
I really hope that Im the that youre thinking about
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
Chorus
I hope that you have been thinking of me too (I hope that, I hope that youve
Been thinkin)
The way that I have been thinking of you (all the time, cant get you off my
Mind baby)
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
See I hope that its you
And I hope that you are baby
Thinking of me too
Ooh, yeah, yeah...
See I hope that you are
Ooh, youre thinking of me
I need for you to think about me
Like I think about you baby
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
I hope that its you
And I hope that youre thinking of, thinking of, thinking of me too

Live your life and let others do theirs

For you to
Conform to what is said in the title
You need to understand
The following

Though you own a house
You are not that house
Though you own a car
You are not that car
Thus, though you own your body
You are not that body
You are not that anything
Which has a relation with your body
So, you are not a father or mother
You are not a son or daughter
You are not a brother or sister
You are not a man or woman
You are not a professional or otherwise
You are just a soul
Occupying a body and controlling it

The second important understanding is
That you are not doing anything
Your eyes have seen, you have not
Your ears have heard, you have not
Your intelligence has understood, you have not
Since you are not your eyes, ears or intelligence
Or anything that a relation with your sense organs
You have not done anything
Anything done by your body
Of which you are the soul
Is nothing but the response
Of your sense organs
To the their respective stimuli

Third understanding you need to have is
That the soul in your body is
A part of a super soul
Whom, you may call as God
And He is aware of and witnessing
Everything happening around you
And elsewhere

What you need to do
With this understanding

Direct your body
To selflessly and non-emotionally perform
Those duties
Which have been assigned
Naturally and
Which have been assigned
Based on the skills
Acquired by your body
With common good in mind
And with no attachment to the results therein
Guarding against
The possible arrogance
Of having performed

And seek for guidance
From the super soul
For sustenance of the
Above knowledge and performance
While dedicating everything
Done by your body
As an offering to the super soul
Keep you ever attached
To the super soul
By directing your thoughts, words and deeds
Towards Him

Sustain these

And

You live your life and
Let others do theirs

A Lie

Some might call it a fabrication
While others might call it a fib
And some will call it down right dishonest
But happily with their soul they can live.
Some might call it an untruth
While others will call it a deception
Some will nod their heads and walk away
And they wont make any exception.
I have heard it called misinforming
And also heard it called a falsification
But then those words were so very kindly used
To protect someone else's reputation.
I have also heard it to be misleading
And also to be used in perjury
Sometimes they are used in a sophisticated way
But with that word they rush and hurry.
I know that is nothing but a falsehood
And the meaning and end effect you cant deny
The actions of the word can be called anything at all
But to me a lie, is nothing but a lie.

Scar

Im not
Crawling around
Looking for a friend.
Im not
Thinking the big I am.
Im not
Down on the ground
Looking for a cure.
Im not
Saying that Im the man.
And Im not asking for your opinion.
Im not asking for a miracle.
And Im not asking you to remember me,
Not asking for the ghost to call.
Im
Cold and corrupt
Looking for a heart.
Im
Trying to hide my scars.
Im
Talking to you
Like a shadow in the dark.
Im
Just trying to survive.
(call my name, hide my shame)
I call this human emotion.
(save my soul, save my soul)
I call this human corrosion.
And Im not asking you for emotion,
Im not asking for the sky to mend.
And Im not asking you for nostalgia,
Im not asking for the world to end.
And Im not asking for your opinion,
Im not asking for a miracle.
And Im not asking you to remember me,
Not asking for the ghost to call.

Touching Numbers

I was sitting alone at home
thinking about you
wondering what the heck
you were up to.

Are you sitting there alone
thinking about me…
wondering if I was in
someone else's company?

Have you found someone new
to give your affection…
are you stroking each other's palms
considering a connection?

Are you snuggling up close
and kissing him
the same as you kissed me
on my neck and chin?

Is your breathing deep and heavy,
does your heart pound,
are you truly happy now
that I'm not around?

I really hope you're there
thinking about me,
looking at our photographs
on your phone's memory.

Touching numbers, about to call,
thinking of what to say.
Maybe, should we meet up
in our favourite café?

I suppose I'm just a fool
for thinking like this,
dwelling on a lost love
and past happiness.

I have to face it, you're not
thinking of me at all.
A full day has just about gone…
should I make the call?

If scientific reasoning were limited to the logical processes of arithmetic, we should not get very far in our understanding of the physical world. One might as well attempt to grasp the game of poker entirely by the use of the mathematics of probability.

My People

My people want a flower to grow,
They want their country a solution;
The fluid flows and the hearts combine
So as to discover victory and happiness.

My people want the whole garden to burst
Into life. So a solution has come:
The arrival of a priest, a just man
Whose only longing is peace for generations to come.

Actions are not just words but acts,
They divide the camp into plain areas;
My people have a desire to gain miracles
From the priest, yet without success.

The man of understanding supplies words to complement actions,
Making changes to the people
And avoiding harm for the people,
The people start to play in their beautiful garden.

The understanding is great, the achievements are made,
The people continue in the country’s quest.

Yeah

Help me get this out of my head
Now fenny thinks that there aint no stoppin
Until you got me flat on my back

Now if you want to spend some time with me
If youve got some time to kill
Tell more or else Ill leave this place
Know a couple of a ladies that will

You know what Im thinking
Were just havin a ball
You know my number

You know what Im thinking
Were just havin a ball

Just havin a ball
Just havin a ball
Just havin a ball
You know my number

You know what Im thinking
Were just havin a ball
