I didn't come into politics to change the Labour Party. I came into politics to change the country.

Change! Change! Change!
change! change! change!
everybody talkin' about change.
change your look,
change your luck,
change your politics,
change your religion...
change the country,
change the world....
change the day!
change your underwear!
loose change, pocket change,
winds of change, march for change....
but all real change begins within...
let's work on that,
and then everything else
will change in turn!

Politics is repetition. It is not change. Change is something beyond what we call politics. Change is the essence politics is supposed to be the means to bring into being.

Politics is not predictions and politics is not observations. Politics is what we do. Politics is what we do, politics is what we create, by what we work for, by what we hope for and what we dare to imagine.

Politics is too partisan, and sometimes patriotism is cast aside. Patriotism is honor and love of your country and your brothers and sisters. With politics I get the impression that it's all about what's good for the party and not necessarily what's good for the country.

Let the message go out - a new generation has taken charge of Labour which is optimistic about our country, optimistic about our world, optimistic about the power of politics. We are optimistic and together we will change Britain.

General Fonseka’s entry into politics: Is it the end of democracy in Sri Lanka?
As a simpleton I do not see any difference in between War and Politics.
In the battlefield you kill the enemies by Arms & Ammunition.
But it's rather change in politics as most of the hypocrites use wet towels for the said purpose instead of shooting they do it by strangling,
I suggest that the General could get a retirement and wear a saffron robe for the end of journey?

I'm still batting away on my politics for the Labour Party. I'm much further to the left of them than I used to be, but that's because they've moved, not me.

Party Bound Politicians July 4th,2012
PARTY BOUND POLITICIANS July 4th,2012
By
James Bredin
Our Canadian politicians are reluctant to change,
If they do they will be immediately told that this is strange,
They are party politicians and not allowed an independent thought,
They have to follow the party line and not be distraught.
Canada should have a system where they have some independence,
And not march in step, completely party bound in their dependence,
We should have proportional representation for those who should vote,
And compulsory votes or added tax so all constituents take note.
Party politics is in many ways like a religious belief,
Those who change are treated as sacrilegious with great grief,
Those who want death with dignity are looked at as pagans or worse,
Supreme Court decisions here will not allow for anything diverse.

I'm an American, and always will be. I happen to love that big, awkward, sprawling country very much — and its big, awkward, sprawling people. Anyway, I don't like politics; and I don't make "political gestures" … I don't even believe in politics. To me, politics is like one of those annoying, and potentially dangerous (but generally just painful) chronic diseases that you just have to put up with in your life if you happen to have contracted it. Politics is like having diabetes. It's a science, a catch-as-catch-can science, which has grown up out of simple animal necessity more than anything else. If I were twice as big as I am, and twice as physically strong, I think I'd be a total anarchist.

On Irish Politics And Politicians
Politics in the Republic of Ireland with any joy I can't recall
Nepotism rife in the ranks of the three major parties Labour, Fine Gael and Fianna Fail
Jobs for their kin and their mates only Irish Politicians in their ways so small
In Politics since my time in Ireland suppose things would not have changed much at all
I was never a member of any Irish Political Party to me they seemed a very flawed lot
The way they conducted their business I certainly haven't forgot
Any one party not cleaner than the other honest politicians anywhere hard to be found
I recall amongst Irish Politicians that nepotism did abound
They grew old and retired on their big pensions they took care of themselves and their own
Honesty and fairness with them not a high priority the most of them for such not known
When they spoke of doing good for the Country they did not mean what they did say
They only helped their families, friends and relations respect to them I could not pay
There were a few honourable Irish Politicians just a few that I can recall
But honesty does not survive well amongst Politicians they are a flawed lot overall.
