Spread Like Lilies
come little sparrows
hop about all freely
under my laid tables
daily feast upon crumbs
of this our heavenly
daily bread spread like lilies
of God’s harvest fields
sparrows do not spin or weave
freely feast enjoy stay believe.

No one likes to eat crumbs from a feast; everyone likes to sit at the table.
Collide
The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And i'm tangled up in you, yeah
I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide
I'm quiet you know
You make a first impression
I've found I'm scared to know
I'm always on your mind
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find
You and I collide
Don't stop here
I've lost my place
I'm close behind
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide
You finally find
You and I collide

Will The Words Come Back?
Words slip off our pen
like warm butter off a knife.
They fall in unison across the page
with everything we write.
Then one day the words don’t flow
in unison like they used to before.
They have no rhythm within them
and just become no more than words.
We look at what we’ve written
and there is no bounce in them.
The words become no more than words
once written by a creative hand.
There is no meaning in what they say
they have no heart anymore.
They are just words written on a page
with no rhyme or reason for them being there.
Some call it a writer’s block;
others call it stagnation of the mind.
The creative juices fall away to nothing,
no spark to be kindled,
no emotions to be released,
no protests to be made,
no stories to be assembled
like a jigsaw in your mind.
Just an empty pen with words
that don’t make sense anymore.
Struggles without feeling,
ideas leading nowhere
on a spiralling downward turn.
You are no longer a writer,
your creativity is gone
and the only question you have,
will the words come came back?

A dove and crows
A Park
A dove came to sit
near to a lonely man.
He stops watching the lake
and talks to it
I cannot hear
what he says
But as he seem
to loose his smile,
the dove is chased away
by.. crows..
Moves next to a bench,
Where a young couple
have a small feast
Of course the dove
Gets to be fed few crumbs
But crows come there too!
Like at a signal
Ground is filled with lots of crows now
And more to come! !
Young couple interrupt their eating
Bento goes back inside the bags
they stand ready to run away..
But crows insist! Starts yelling:
One by one, taking turns:
-Craaawwww! ! ! ! Craaaawwww! ! Not fair! !
-Craaaww craaaw only two crumbs..-Pleaaase! !
-What's the criterion
of your food to share?
-The color of my feathers?
-What color I shall dye them, pink! ? !
-The sound of my voice?
-Should I be mute, you think?
-Size? ! ?
-Teach me! How can I shrink? !
-Is it my fault?
-That I'm not cute
-I can't enchant..
-Why? am I so unpleasant?
And then, in chorus:
-Why? ? ! ! ? ?
Being smart..
does not count?
Without a word, couple gone
to answer questions they did not mind
But.. By leaving in such a hurry
not noticed was, the onighiri left behind..

*onighiri= rice ball

This Is The Last Time
This is the last time
That I will say these words
I remember the first time
The first of many lies
Sweep it into the corner
Or hide it under the bed
Say these things they go away
But they never do
Something I wasn't sure of
But I was in the middle of
Something I forget now
But I've seen too little of
The last time
You fall on me for anything you like
Your one last line
You fall on me for anything you like
And years make everything alright
You fall on me for anything you like
And I, no I don't mind
This is the last time
That I will show my face
One last tender lie
And then I'm out of this place
So tread it into the carpet
Or hide it under the stairs
You say that some things never die
Well I tried and I tried
Something I wasn't sure of
But I was in the middle of
Something I forget now
But I've seen too little of
The last time
You fall on me for anything you like
Your one last line
You fall on me for anything you like
And years make everything alright
You fall on me for anything you like
And I, no I don't mind
The last time
You fall on me for anything you like
Your one last line
You fall on me for anything you like
And years make everything alright
You fall on me for anything you like
And I, no I don't mind

Blood Chalice Injustice Drips
skipping words across water
ripples spread at each touch point
mind merges into felt wonder
therefore it does not matter
if words are read or not
each skip was mind thunder
mind writes what words want
writes soul felt free thought
runs choice fields that anoint
sanctification consecration
pays homage honours all creation
earth entwined population
control investing in rim wars
out of sight out of mind fills
blood chalice injustice drips
beware balance restoration
all empires embracing evil fall
prosperity favours liberation

Words are a powerful tool
Words can be cruel
and they can be kind
words can touch the heart
and invade the mind.
Words can be a weapon
as sharp as any knife
they can bring despair
and ruin someone's life.
But words can bring joy
and hope and cheer
words used wisely
can wipe away fear.
Words, words, words,
created in the mind
used to be nasty
or to be kind.
So watch your words
there a mighty tool
they can make you look smart
or an insensitive fool!

Do You Really Find It Hard To Write A Poem?
let me tell you
it is not hard to write the poems in your mind
they are already there in the first place
inside your heart
always wanting to be written
all you need is just your way of waking your fingers in deep sleep
let them be
let them write the words
at the tip of your fingers
let the words speak for themselves
do not intervene
let them be
let the emotions dance like the wind
let the thoughts trickle like the rain
let them be
follow the river as it winds along the banks of your feelings
then watch
how all the waters of your self fall like
a water fall.

Only Tears
Only tears are meant to fall
Only once and that is all
And when you start to lose the fight
And nothing else will make it right
Only hearts are meant to break
And when you make that last mistake
And everything you tried to say
But all the words got in the way
Only God can hear you now
When you make that final vow
Say the words and say them loud
Say the words that make you proud
And when you lose someone you depend upon
Only tears will fall
And when you need a friend I will send you one
Only tears are meant to fall
Only tears are meant to fall
Only once and that is all
Only tears are meant to fall
Only once and that is all
Only tears are meant to fall
Only once and that is all
Only tears are meant to fall
Only once and that is all

A New Pilgrimage: Sonnet XXXIX
Ancient of days! What word is thy command
To one befooled of wit and his own way?
What counsel hast thou, and what chastening hand
For a lost soul grown old in its dismay?
What penance shall he do, what ransom pay,
Of blood poured out for faith in a far land,
What mute knee--service, weeping here to--day,
In words of prayer no ear shall understand?
Let him thy servant be, the least of all
In the Lord's Courts, but near thy mysteries,
To touch the crumbs which from thy table fall,
Let him--. But lo, thou speakest: ``Not with these
Is God delighted. Get thee homeward hence.
They need thee more who wait deliverance!''

Baby It Cant Fall
Pop/bowie
You have loved me with energy
Backed up with hard work and guts
We inhabit eternity
We fly forever in space
The way we run together
The way we breeze the miles
We put our heads together
And laughingly we smile
It cant fall
It cant fall
Baby, it cant fall
Death means nothing at all
It cant fall
It cant fall
Baby, it cant fall
Our love will outlive this earth
Words have so many meanings
Sometimes mean nothing at all
Sometimes I feel so simple
I dont know whats coming next
We have swum in the ocean
And that was really alright
Im not a big man
Its hard to face the world
It cant fall
It cant fall
Baby, it cant fall
That would nail me to the wall
It cant fall
It cant fall
Baby it cant fall
Our love will outlive this earth
It cant fall

Making A Self Busy
there are many reasons
the fingers fall short of the count
the mind continues to invent
and the body resigns
but everyday this matter of
tiring out the soul
does not stop
and if soon the body gives up
the heavens shall celebrate
the feast of angels
the showdown of saints
the smile of God.

Words Get In The Way
I realize youre seeing someone new
I dont believe she knows you like I do
Your temperamental moody side, the one you always try to hide from me
But I know when you have some thing on your mind
Youve been trying to tell me for the longest time
And before you break my heart in two,
Theres something Ive been trying to say to you
But the words get in the way
Theres so much I want to say
But its locked deep inside and if you look in my eyes,
We might fall in love again.
I wont even start to cry, and before we say goodbye
I tried to say I love you
But the words got in the way
Your heart has always been an open door
But baby I dont even know you any more
And despite the fact its hurting me,
I know the time has come to set you free
But the words get in the way
Theres so much I want to say
But its locked deep inside and if you look in my eyes,
We might fall in love again
I wont even start to cry, and before we say goodbye
I tried to say I love you, but the words got in the way
Im trying to say I love you
But the words get in the way

When The Wind Blows
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
In my mind i see,
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
This is an emergency.
In a part of this once-great city
Stands a child crying out in pity.
Gone is hope in the heart of each hungry hour.
Every year in this land of plenty
There are millions of starving children
What will i say if they look my way?
This is an emergency.
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
In my mind i see,
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
This is an emergency.
Bow your heads to the lost generation
Scars so deep, bringing god's damnation.
Businessmen sip wine while congress argue.
But for grace we enjoy our pleasures
What we face will be our salvation
Go build your towns, but remember time will not forget
That this is an emergency.
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
This is an emergency.
Think of what the wise men said.
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
In my mind i see,
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
In my mind i see,
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
This is an emergency.

Crumbs Off The Table
(sherrie payne / ronald dunbar / edith wayne)
Ooh, hoo
Get up in the morning
bout a quarter to nine
Get home in the evenin
Too tired to make time
Give me the lovin
Ive been waiting for all day
Youre always a little too tired
To ever look my way
You got me hungry for your love
But you, you aint able
All you want to give me
Is the crumbs off the table
What you been doin?
Who you been wooin?
Tell me, tell me who you been doin?
I ache inside
With a lovin desire
But youre too tired, baby
To light my fire
I work in this house all day
And I get tired too
There aint a day goes by
I aint willing to make love to you
Im hungry for your love
But you, you aint able
All you want to give me
Is the crumbs off the table, ah
What you been doin?
Who you been wooin?
Tell me, tell me, tell me who you been doin?
Hey, sometimes in the middle of the day
I get lovin you on my mind
But as soon as you get home
You read the paper
Aint got the time
What you been doin?
Who you been wooin?
Tell me, tell me, who you been doin?
What you been doin?
Who you been wooin?
Tell me, tell me, tell me who you been doin?
I said Im hungry for your lovin
But you, you aint able
All you want to give me is the crumbs off the table
Hungry for your love
But you

Only In My Mind
thoughts fire
mind blaze
run on wind
words sing mind melodies
words sing song new images
dance in heart veins flow
words shape shift
into new thoughts
concepts poems
several are written
in time heart beats
wonder stirs anew
but only in my mind
where the beauty sings
sung sight meditation
no words given unto paper
no words processed on light screen
no words kept mind record
dart of honeybird flight
bats fly sonar night vision
wing beats of wonder
words released born free

Rubbish Tip
At the rubbish tip they place their words
Just on the edge of
Surreal and absurd
A gold leafed edge
A lettered page
At teh rubbish tip
They stage
Their acts in
'THREE PARTS SCENE ONE'
Then you arrive
By stage door three
With a broken heart
All at sea
With the rythmn
Of the words
They left you to say
Can't see the wood for the trees today
At the rubbish dump
The hungry sit
Wide eyed
Death in their mouths
Waiting to eat
The bread of the words
The crumbs from a table
Of rotten verse
Yet still they come the blind and the dumb
Sit up and write
Recite it all night
Without a pause
Or space for 'applause'
READ THE PAPER!
It makes more sense to believe in
The tablod lies
Than live in a world of man made pretense
Take your tongue from your cheek
The fibre glass from your eye
BETTER NOT TO SAY A THING
DON'T TIP THE WORDS FROM YOUR MOUTH
TO THE PAGE...VOMIT BREACHED
just stay silent
Let the rain fall one more time
It's a sign of the times sell fast stories
Falling of dirty ink presses
distresses on paper
OUR DAILY BREAD SPOON FED!

Words
Words are my weapon
words are my shield
Guns and knifes just ruin lives
so words I keep concealed
Words are all I have here
they help me struggle on
Words are here forever,
when all I have is gone
In my thoughts or in my poems
Words will help ease my brain
I write down what is on my mind
Expressing love or feeling pain
Not that many I can trust
But words I can depend
Words wont turn there back on you
Words are my only friend

Ode to Crumbs
when I eat
a cake
of chocolate,
Crumbs are everywhere
All over the counter
my hand
the floor
a mess everywhere
tiny islands on
the counter
meaningless
though I can't help
but pay attention
to crumbs
on my hand
my counter
my floor
all over the place
why are they so obssesive?
small
tiny little specs
though I can't look away
so
I must clean them up.
