The greater part of the governments on earth may be termed monarchical aristocracies, or hereditary dominions independent of the people.

In all history there is no war which was not hatched by the governments, the governments alone, independent of the interests of the people, to whom war is always pernicious even when successful.

Turkeys Voting For Christmas

party electrical pledges
promises never meant

to be kept

elected politicians
government by the people
for the people?

which people?

products of democracy?

voters vote for party
promising lowest taxes
greater citizen benefits

ignoring previous
broken promises
lies lies lies manifest

democracy is turkeys
voting for Christmas
or Thanksgiving hoping

not to be served
up on a meal plate

governments give
governments take

when governments take
they take
more than they ever gave

Governments are moved by numbers, and the greater the number of people who admit that they believe, the greater the likelihood that the secret - if there is one being kept - will be revealed.

The Art Of My Poetry

Listen to the art of my poetry,
Listen oh mankind!
What goes around comes around,
And like the things seen in and around us;
But not all the governments are doing well on this earth.
Why are many people suffering ans starving?
Listen to the art of my poetry;
Why are there many bombs in our backyards?
Listen to the art of my poetry;
Why should there be many people sleeping on the streets while,
There are governments ruling over them?
I have seen people drinking from dirty water,
I have seen people eating from the garbage dump,
Yet still there are governments ruling over them;
Listen oh mankind!
Listen to the art of my poetry.

The Commission has five commissioners from each side, plus three alternates, so all together sixteen members, people who are independent from the two governments, who have a lot of integrity, professional competence, and who have credibility in their respective countries.

Fire from the five elements

The Air stays there independent.
The Water stays there independent.
Likewise are the Earth and the Ether.
But the Fire is not independent.
To manifest, it wants fuel and air.
Can the Fire be an exclusive fifth
Of the five elements?

An Independent Candidate's Frustration

Elections are over
Results have come
People failed
And failed for a long time.

I stood with hope
Against a flock of bastards.
No money
No Power
With education high
And youthfull blood
I stood with hope.

They had it all
Money
Power
And also an ugly wrinkled image
To crush me down
And boot on my chest.

I now forgot
That I am a citizen of India
A democratic paradise
Filled with people
Who carry independent thoughts
And an attitude to
Stay stereotypical
In making alternative governments
Enthroning him or her.

I stood with hope
To create a change
In the current political scenario
Assuming myself
To be fit to rule
With education and young age
But people proved intelligent
They rather prefer freebies
Than my future plans
And now i stand a goof
Thinking that people have failed
And failed for a long time
Their fate is so
Their heart is so
An independent candidate
Is one among them too
A literal fool.

The governments of the present day have to deal not merely with other governments, with emperors, kings and ministers, but also with the secret societies which have everywhere their unscrupulous agents, and can at the last moment upset all the governments' plans.

I like to believe that people in the long run are going to do more to promote peace than our governments. Indeed, I think that people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it.

Villanelle For Our Time

From bitter searching of the heart,
Quickened with passion and with pain
We rise to play a greater part.
This is the faith from which we start:
Men shall know commonwealth again
From bitter searching of the heart.
We loved the easy and the smart,
But now, with keener hand and brain,
We rise to play a greater part.
The lesser loyalties depart,
And neither race nor creed remain
From bitter searching of the heart.
Not steering by the venal chart
That tricked the mass for private gain,
We rise to play a greater part.
Reshaping narrow law and art
Whose symbols are the millions slain,
From bitter searching of the heart
We rise to play a greater part.

Let's Just Drop the Subject!

We pledge an allegiance to a flag.
And to a 'republic' for which it stands.
With liberty and justice for all!

'Hey...
It's like those blue dogs,
Fighting with right winged conservatives.
Or those of third party inclinations,
Who say they are neither democrat or republican.
And the federal reserve created by the Rothchilds...
Controlling every dime every where on Earth! '

Those are unpatriotic statements!
Delivered from the lips...
Of a nonconformist militant.

'Oh please!
I guess the next thing you will say,
Is that our cherished democracy is a socialistic movement.
That threatens our way of life?
Although we pledge ourselves today,
To an understanding that a sovereign state...
Ruled by representatives of a widely inclusive electorate.
And the term republic...
Formerly denoted a form of government,
That was both free from hereditary or monarchical rule? '

WHY are you attempting to be specific,
When propaganda has been our ideal way of life?
What has been documented has already been determined to be flawed.
And what is the problem with a bit of fantasizing?

'We must protect 'our' interests!
Whatever they are.
Or 'today' may be!
Folks are beginning to become alarmed,
By the fact that our president may not be a nationalized citizen.
And once every year...
People spend millions decorating their homes,
Streets and businesses on Christmas!
Waiting for Santa Claus to arrive.
And nowhere in the Bible is this man mentioned! '

We pledge an allegiance to a flag.
And fantasies of all kinds.
So what is the big deal?
This has nothing to do with honesty and truth.
That's why we have laws!

'Geeesssshh!
Let's just dropp the subject!
I'm already feeling violated.'

Is that mentally?
Or physically?

Why are you looking at me like that?

Sonnet: Life

In life on earth, contrasting things happen;
The highest on earth will be soon tumbled;
The greatest on earth will be too humbled;
All can’t have success and all can’t captain.

The higher we fly, greater will be fall;
The greater the care we ought to take then;
We are all human and we are mere men;
Though feeling secure, we await the call.

Life is in achieving great things may be!
The balance of mind and peace, you will need;
No time can any man control the sea!
Nature is far greater, supreme indeed.

Every man ought to learn his limits first;
Man is driven by curiosity’s thirst.

Fate's Flow

held trapped in Fate's maze
running, running, trying to
escape.
but that is all part of
It's greater plan
every turn is the wrong one
every step take me where i want
Not to go.
every road, i see
people resigned to
Life
tired and weary,
they scorn me,
knowing i too
will one day give up all hope
this meaningless running,
for a life directed by - It's flow.
so i conclude
the only door of escape is
Death
and even that is part of
Fate's greater plan.
