I guess there is also an element of deliberate change involved. Each of my books has been, at least from my point of view, radically different from the last.

It wasn't conscious, but I guess that one book is the reaction to the other. The first is so imprisoned in a male point-of-view, and the second is a point-of-view that can go anywhere it wants.

A Different Point Of View
(tennant/lowe)
----------------------------
When Im sitting so close to you
Theres only one thing that I wanna do
But I know what youre likely to say
That Im going about it the wrong way
We cant agree about anything
Where to go or even where weve been
And I know what youre likely to do
Say that Ive never cared about you
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
You dont believe a single word I say
If Id say black was white, youd say it was grey
But in spite of being treated this way
I still dream of you all night and day
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
Just this once
Just say yes
Please
Youve got a clever way of haunting me
Im never scared, but youre still daunting me
cause I know what youre likely to say
And I know that youll get your own way
And all I wanted to say was that I love you
But you tell me now you dont believe its true
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view
You got a different, a different
A different point of view
You got a different
Point of view

Immutability
Although things change they stay the same.
What changes is our point of view
beneath the sun theres nothing new
Although things change they stay the same.
We only see part of the game.
Circumstances limit our view
we tend to see what we want to.
Although things change they stay the same.
There is no need for praise or blame.
From time to time we must review
the way we see things: So we do,
although things change they stay the same.
Although things change they stay the same.
What changes is our point of view
beneath the sun there’s nothing new.
Although things change they stay the same

Radical Change
Radical change occurs in all men, who from God are Born Again,
Born through the Spirit of Christ, and born again unto a New Life.
Change begins when you believe, as The Holy Spirit you receive,
This as Christ begins to reside, in The Spirit who now lives inside.
Change isn’t obvious at the start, but occurs if He’s in your heart,
Dwelling inside, to make you anew, helping you in all that you do.
You friend, now belong to Him, the One who died for all your sin,
And the new life that Christ gives, changes how the Believer lives.
God doesn’t change who we are, but changes us deeper and far,
Changes which go into Eternity, far greater than any eye can see.
The Lord truly changes everyone, who comes to accept His Son,
Changing the way we live, radically, as a testimony for all to see.
Changes we choose for The Lord; changes that won’t go ignored,
Radically changing all former ways, for living out remaining days.
Changes made by His power, transforming us each day and hour,
Through the power of His name, God creates in us lasting change.
From within God’s Spirit inspires, many changes to all our desires,
Directed by a power much higher, to guide every need and desire,
By Christ who had died for me, to direct my heart towards eternity,
With God’s power in my life, I’m radically changed for Jesus Christ.

P.o.v.
From my 'point-of-view',
We all have the ability to reminisce.
We all have the gift to pick and choose,
From which selected memory to visit.
There is a choice involved...
That decreases the likelihood,
To stir up argument or debate.
Wouldn't it be easier,
When and if in conversation...
Someone announced,
'From my 'p.o.v.'...
This is how I perceive things to be.'
Opening the door to receive comprehension.
Without trying to convince anyone...
A 'point-of-view' expressed,
Is the best one anyone can get.
And at these prices,
Who can afford therapy?
Just say what it is...
To get it out in the open.
Allowing other topics to be discussed.
Why keep the fussing done,
Over spilled milk!

Process of 'Misspeaking
Does the process of 'misspeaking'
Also include one's deliberate deceit.
To later excuse as misunderstood speech.
To then deny what has been videotaped...
As words heard but said by mistake.
And the person who expresses this,
Is one who holds a position...
That monitors the laws.
And brings those who breaks them,
To a 'legalized' and law abiding truthfulness...
That respects and honors justice.
However...
Given an interpretation that represents,
A point of view to dismiss honesty...
And the ability to know truth too!
Depends on one's position.
And people who have never known,
Truth to be what it is without deception.
'Some folks are just part of the fabric.
No matter what their flaws.
Or embarrassments that dropp jaws.
Or no matter who is used,
To promote and benefit themselves...
From their point of view.'

Fixing Claretta's Skirt
Don't be allured by charming savior
Don't be swept by the flood of people
Think, think and look for a change
Don't be afraid to be something different
Don't stop to see from another point of view
Think, think and come out to change
Even all the world against you
Even it cost many things you hold dear
Think, think and do the change
Even you will fight and die alone
When you feel that it is not right
Think, think and believe for change

Sincerity Of A Chemistry
Because one is approachable,
Does not mean another is being chased.
Laws of attraction are in force.
Which, from a point of view...
There are two involved,
To introduce on this pursuit.
But if one becomes too self involved...
Believing the honey is kept,
In just one jar.
Well...
Eventually that one will know what is true.
When it is made known that a honey wished to taste,
Isn't worth the game played.
Or the delay that has been wasted,
The other believed they saved for a chase.
It's not all about the honey.
Frequently it's about the sincerity of a chemistry.
When that's in place there is no chase.

There Is Something Within Us That Refuses Change
So many lifetimes I have lived,
Among some who have just lived one.
Experiences I have had a plenty.
And many I observe have had few,
Or perhaps none from their point of view.
It is difficult to dismiss those trials and tribulations.
And the obstacles that come with growth...
Which are purposely set on one's path to take notice.
So many lifetimes I have lived,
Among some who have just lived one.
Experiences I have had a plenty.
And many I observe have had few,
Or perhaps none from their point of view.
And those making attempts to grasp onto the past,
Are not so eager to let go from that which has detached.
Like the gifts of seasons that come to give, bestow and leave...
There is something within us that refuses change that comes drastically.
Although being a part of 'nature' has not identified that as reality.
It is difficult to dismiss those trials and tribulations.
And the obstacles that come with growth...
Which are purposely set on one's path to take notice.
There is something within us that refuses change.
Although change is all we know.
There is something within us that refuses change.
Although change is all we know.
There is something within us that refuses change.
Although change is all we know.
Change is...
All we know!

You
Maurice white, david foster & brenda russel
She was naive, and never knew
Back against the world--her dreams came true
There is a mirror in her eyes,
All the world with cherry painted skies
I would be a fool, not to notice who,
Can make me want to give it all
Oh, and now, Im a happy soul
That love has got a hold
And I know that love wont let me fall
You--light the way, you brighten up my day
You make me want to stay,
I guess you know that Im in love with you
Its true, you changed my point of view,
And now I look at life, the way you do,
With a beauty shining thru
When I am true with my dreams
Life is so sincere, in what it means
I am truly hypnotized--with a love
That took me by surprise
I would be a fool, not to notice who,
Can make me want to give it all
Oh and now, love is so profound.
I need your love around to open yp,
This lonely heart
You--light the way, you brighten up my day
You make me want to stay,
I guess you know that Im in love with you
Its true, you changed my point of view,
And now I look at life, the way you do,
With a beauty shining thru
You-light the way, you brighten up my day
You make me want to stay,
I guess you know that Im in love with you
Its true, you changed my point of view,
You make it all seem right,
Id love to share my life, with you

Every time I listen to Jeff Beck my whole view of guitar changes radically. He's way, way out, doing things you never expect.
Dwelling On Your Miseries
All I hear is what isn't,
From you.
That's all I hear...
From your point of view!
Have you ever considered,
Climbing out of your shell?
Have you ever thought about,
What for you goes well?
I can understand you
Having issues in your life.
I can understand that.
But do you appreciate those things,
That are right?
Dwelling on your miseries,
For the purpose to share.
Seems so self involved.
And when you expose that like you do...
You don't wish to have your problems solved.
You want them there to linger!
All I hear is what isn't,
From you.
That's all I hear...
From your point of view!
Have you ever considered,
Climbing out of your shell?
Have you ever thought about,
What for you goes well?
You are locked into a situation.
And approval from others you seek.
You want others to waste time as you've done.
Constantly picking your wounds to reopen...
To prove your are suffering to everyone!
I can understand you
Having issues in your life.
I can understand that.
But do you appreciate those things,
That are right?
Dwelling on your miseries,
For the purpose to share.
Seems so self involved.
And when you expose that like you do...
You don't wish to have your problems solved.
You want them there to linger!

Golden Moments
Now if all my golden moments
Could be rolled into one
They would shine just like the sun
For a summer day
And after it was over
We could have it back again
With credit to the editor
For striking out the rain (very clean)
And all it really needed
Was the proper point of view
No ones gonna bring me down
No ones gonna stop me now
Now I gathered up my sorrows
And I sold them all for gold
And I gathered up the gold
And I threw it all away
It all went for a good time and a song (come on)
The laughter was like music
It did float my soul along for awhile
And all it really needed was the proper point of view
No ones gonna reach me here
No ones gonna know Im gone
You may think I might be crazy
And I guess you might be right
But I know the way I feel today is out of sight
I do not trust your senses to remember your name
Without corrective lenses
Things are never twice the same anyway
And all it really needed
Was the proper point of view
No ones gonna bring me down
No ones gonna stop me now
No ones gonna reach me here
No ones gonna know Im gone

Books
The universe (which others call the library). . .
-Jorge Luis Borges
Books which are stitched up the center with coarse white thread
Books on the beach with sunglass-colored pages
Books about food with pictures of weeping grapefruits
Books about baking bread with browned corners
Books about long-haired Frenchmen with uncut pages
Books of erotic engravings with pages that stick
Books about inns whose stars have sputtered out
Books of illuminations surrounded by darkness
Books with blank pages & printed margins
Books with fanatical footnotes in no-point type
Books with book lice
Books with rice-paper pastings
Books with book fungus blooming over their pages
Books with pages of skin with flesh-colored bindings
Books by men in love with the letter O
Books which smell of earth whose pages turn

I think for anything to change, in the real world, people have got to change on the inside and that's what we want to start, to get people to think and do more themselves and get involved in whatever they want to get involved with.

The environment doesn't change that radically. You are still going to go home at night and NBC is going to be there, ABC and CBS will still be there.
