While Americans have heard of Darfur and think we should be doing more there, they aren't actually angry at the president about inaction.

Well, he can't be dumb, I mean, because he's been president for four years and he's president again, so you're going to get caught out if you're really bad, aren't you? Unless millions and millions of Americans are dumb.

Darfur - A Mouthful Of Silence
Darfur – Mouthful of Silence
Darfur hangs under clouds so dark and dense
The world helplessly watching makes no sense
The people there are scared and at their wits end
Murder, rape, robbery, mayhem, knows no end
As the world gives a well intentioned call
There are no results to stop this mad ball
While Darfur reels in a saga of violence
Why the world shows its 'mouthful of silence”?
If we do not act to break this hell on earth
If we do not break our “seeming” silence
If we do not rise now above our own selfish call
The Darfur like violence will one day, engulf us all

Say a Prayer for Darfur (Revised)
Say a Prayer for Darfur (Revised) (Warning for Mature Audience, violence depicted)
Darfur, yesterday,
Cozy, thatched huts,
Shining in the sun, nestled in the sand.
Darfur, yesterday,
Brightly-garbed, graceful women, friendly, strong men.
And the children…
The children,
Running and leaping,
Playing and laughing.
Today, a grinning skull
Hangs like the moon,
Over a gutted Darfur.
For Death came to Darfur,
Draped with murder and mayhem,
Wrapped in hate, lusting for power, land and oil…
Death came to Darfur,
On the backs of camels, driving trucks,
Wielding fire, sticks, bullets and bombs.
Today, behold, Darfur,
Burned, charred huts, starving children,
Dead bodies baking in the sun,
Untold numbers of women raped,
A tiny baby beaten to death,
Rumors of school children being burned alive!
Villagers locked in their huts and cremated, alive.
Children with noses cut off and eyes pulled out,
The village of Labado lies like an agonized, charred corpse.
Come, weep with me,
Pray with me,
For Death camps in Darfur!

Truman Teaches Romney Where The Buck Stops
On the desk of President Truman did sit a sign
famous defining standard of the man throughout
the land of the great United States of America!
Truman sitting at his desk in his White House
office had responsibility sign 'The Buck Stops Here'
because in Truman's administration the president
took responsibility for the welfare of all Americans!
No poker player hustler could be elected president
swindle 47% of the American people and say it is not
his responsibility as president to care for all citizens!
Mitt Romney passed the buck declaring all voters
who would not vote for him were not his responsibility...
in his vision for a Romney rummy federal government!
President Truman had a motto even for Monday morning
because as star quarterback for a nation when a decision
is up before you then by you the decision has to be made!
President Truman defined what 'The Buck Stops Here'
means in January 1953 in his farewell address to his then
responsibility the American people asserting specifically
'The President-whoever he is-has to decide. He can't
pass the buck to anybody. No one else can do the deciding
for him. That's his job.' Responsibility for all Americans!

Americans have been given goals to achieve in Iraq, but not the standards by which to measure progress. And the only assurance Americans have been given that we can reach those goals is to trust the President and his Administration at their word.

I've Heard Much Talk Of Darfur
I've heard much talk of Darfur though I've never been to there
Where people only live in hope and die slowly in despair
The tragic footage of there on the t v news brings it all home to me
Of what it must be like for those who live in abject poverty.
In a Land of war and droughts and famines where war lords rule by fear
Of any feel good and happy stories we never seem to hear
Where people die of hunger in their thousands every day
Man's inhumanity to man is alive and well today.
Where men and women look old before they reach their prime
To be born in the wrong place ought not to be a crime
The seeds they've planted for food have died and the parched ground is cracked and dry
And the warlords steal their food aid and the people starve and die.
A million people hungry for every billionaire
And the super wealthy getting wealthier doesn't life seem so
unfair
And poverty has it's root cause in man's inhumanity to man
And I feel sure that wealthy people also live in Darfur in Sudan.
Of late I have heard much news of Darfur and I've seen sad footage on t v
Of people due to no fault of their own in the worst of poverty
In a drought stricken Land ruled by Warlords the innocent die young
And are buried in mass graves and their praises remain unsung.

In this context, I believe it is an imperative for the new President to select and install his team as quickly as possible, and this does not imply that he must or should appoint members of the 'other' party to his Cabinet, which could contribute to inaction and inefficiency.

All 6 Virginia Presidents Were Slaveholders
The 2008 election wiped out some ancient karma as Virginia
voted for an African American for President of the US.
Every one of Virginia's 6 presidents was a slaveholder
(Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Tyler, Taylor) while the
New Jersey resident Woodrow Wilson (claimed by Virginia
because he was born there) frequently ridiculed African Americans
publicly as president of Princeton and would later as president
ban African Americans from federal jobs, though Harrison,
McKinley, Roosevelt and others had appointed blacks.
Virginia fought with the South in the Civil War.
Virginia likes to claim
Wm Henry Harrison but he was a resident of Ohio
when elected. Virginia, home of the CIA and Pentagon, still hunting
foxes though Britain has outlawed traditional fox hunting,
has often been 2nd only to Texas in executions, with
3 to 4 times as many blacks as whites on death row
executed.
1) George Washington
2) Thomas Jefferson
3) James Madison
4) James Monroe
5) John Tyler
6) Zachary Taylor
7) Woodrow Wilson
Virginia has not had a president since 1850.

One who sees inaction in action, and action in inaction, is intelligent among men.
I started in this racket in the early '70s, and when I was president of the Science Fiction Writers of America, of which I was like the sixth president, I was the first one nobody ever heard of.

The Ballad of Angry O
Angry O, you scare me so
Hateful letter that you be
Angry O, the fear I show
When you growl at me
Angry O, I hope you go
And learn to fix your ways
Angry O, I think you know
You leave me in a haze
Angry O, One day you'll Sow
Everything you reap
Angry O, Then you'll feel low
This promise I do keep
