I own four copies of Robin WIlliams's Live on Broadway comedy special for HBO. One in Wilmington, one in L.A., one in my trailer, and one at my parents' house. I can watch it over and over again and it never gets old. He is the funniest, wittiest man on the planet!

I don't love comedy but I can watch someone who's kind of interesting forever. I think a waitress who's having a bad day is a lot more fun than Robin Williams doing forty minutes of material.

The spirit of our planet and family
spirituality and nature
Human nature is the key to a good heart,
I think the mother is a symbol of compassion,
And has taught us the value of compassion,
Everyone has a seed of a good heart,
Nature and our planet,
Is nothing special,
Nothing sacred,
Nothing holy,
We have a love for our house, our family,
We have no other planet,
We have no other house or family,
Except the one we live in,
Or family we have,
Disturbances and problems exist, on our planet,
Solve these problems and disturbances,
For we can not live on other planets,
The moon looks beautiful from a distance,
But we can not settle there, it would be horrible,
It is only my thoughts,
Now take our blue planet,
It is much better, and a happier place,
So take care of our planet,
Take care of our own place,
Take care of our house,
Take care of our families,
It is only my pondering,
On human nature,
Our blue planet,
Our house we live in,
Or the family we have,

I started doing comedy because that was the only stage that I could find. It was the pure idea of being on stage. That was the only thing that interested me, along with learning the craft and working, and just being in productions with people.

Hills of the Planet
May hills form from illness of the planet,
Erosion of landforms make them of the planet.
Exposure to the elements will kill your substance,
May hills find fault with you and condemn the planet.
May winter know the rock of the Earth,
Whilst roundness of the hill is like a diadem of the planet.
Expose the hills to torture of the weather
By constructing mountains with a gem called the planet.
My hill is grand and openly small as well,
I live it and my house and my family and my poem that is the planet.

On Broadway
They say the neon lights are bright
On Broadway
They say there's always magic
In the air
But when you're walkin' down the street
And you ain't had enough to eat
The glitter rubs right off
And you're nowhere
They say the women treat you fine
On Broadway
But lookin' at them
Just gives me the blues
How ya gonna make some time
When all you got is one thin dime
And one thin dime won't even
Shine your shoes
See [they say?] that I won't last too long
On Broadway
I'll catch a Greyhound bus for home
They all say
But they're dead wrong
I know they are
'Cause I can play this here guitar
I won't quit till I'm a star
On Broadway
On Broadway
On Broadway
Give me that crack
Give me some of that crack
Give me that crack
Ahhhhh

You were there all day long, 12 hours a day. So there was none of this, 'I'm going back to my trailer, my trailer's bigger than your trailer,' that kind of Hollywood nonsense.

Sometimes I would like the opportunity to do character-driven comedy and that's really what I was trying to do in Meet The Parents. I think in a way this is a more old fashioned type of comedy.
I have a bag with a toothbrush and toothpaste and all the things I might need during the day. I call the bag my trailer. Sometimes you don't have a trailer, so that's my trailer.

Especially with a comedy, you've got the clear cut goal of trying to make a scene funny. It's not like drama where you're trying to achieve some kind of emotion or trying to further the story along. You're trying to figure out what's the funniest way to do something.

I suddenly realized that comedy, for me, was just being honest, and playing it for real. I've seen so many wonderful actors who turn into creatures from another planet when they're told they are supposed to be playing comedy.

Green lights on broadway
All the magic seems to say
Come and ride with me baby you know
Its got to be the greatest show on broadway
Out here on the streets they say
You can see your life in one day
I long I long I long I long I long to hear every single street singer
Oh what a mood that feeling brings
You can capture life in a jar
Chances are that youll find out on broadway
Who you really are
Sitting in a lonely room
Staring through the evening gloom
Shell never make the grade on broadway
Shell never spend exciting nights
Surrounded by a maze of lights
And stars that line the streets on broadway
Broadway
When the neon lights are shining bright
She knows shes going to make it someday
Broadway
You can hear the music of the night
She knows that she will
Broadway
When the neon lights are shining bright
Oh I know shes going to make it some day
Broadway
You can hear the music of the night
I know that she will
I said
Broadway
Oh how I love you how I love you
Broadway
How I love you how I love you
Broadway
Its your show I know I know
But chances are youll find out on broadway
Who you really are

Off Broadway
Hanging around Broadway, and I think I saw your face
Cars speeding by me, reminding me of us
Shuffle down to the watering hole
Getting tired and I want to go home
I don't know where that is anymore
I don't know where that is anymore
I don't know where that is anymore
I don't know where that is anymore
Used to be off Broadway
I miss your locket, and the way I felt inside
And I just cant stop it, hasn't killed me yet, but give it time
Shuffle down to the watering hole
Getting tired and I want to go home
I don't know where that is anymore
I don't know where that is anymore
I don't know where that is anymore
I don't know where that is anymore
Used to be off Broadway
Used to be off Broadway
Used to be off Broadway
Used to be off Broadway
