Bing’s Clambake Golf Trophy
Precious gift that held Bourbon Whiskey for Bing,
'White Christmas' at Christmastime he did sing.
This gift is a “1972” trophy for golf,
I protect it in case it does get lost.
See when Chucky was alive,
he hung out with Bing
and they did all sorts of things.
Like boxing, going to the pool hall,
this was always in the city of St. Paul.
See Bing went into incognito,
never dressing up in a tuxedo,
but drinking he never did ditto.
See Chucky stopped drinking but Bing did not,
He said “Chucky, I’m going to drink every last shot”.
Including the Whiskey Bourbon made in Clermont Kentucky,
in the 31st Clambake Trophy I got from dear friend Chucky.
Since Chucky is gone the trophy has moved on,
to many places like my friend's Minneapolis condo.
I had it retrieved when a friend used a duplicate key,
to get it back in my possession for me.
Then Clambake Trophy I did lend,
to another longtime friend,
staying on a refrigerator in Wisc “cheeseland”,
Now I finally have Trophy back again,
reminding me of Bing and Chucky our friend.

God’s Trophies
I am but one trophy of God’s Grace, to be displayed in every place,
Each and every place, which I go, for His Matchless Grace to show.
God’s trophy for all eyes to see, what God’s Grace has done in me,
God’s trophy is my changed life, of what He’s done in Jesus Christ.
This world is God’s trophy case, filled with those changed by Grace,
Changed to live their lives for Him, the Savior, who died for their sin.
Other fallen sinners just like us, who in Christ have placed their trust,
Trusting in The Lord above, He saved and changed us by His blood.
We are set in place by God to shine, with a Love that’s purely divine,
With a glow that’s not from us, but from our Savior’s Righteousness.
And when we let our Shepherd lead, God brings others to their need,
Their own need of the Savior’s Light, to deliver them out of the night.
So that they shall be a trophy too, of God’s Grace, like me and you,
Another sinner that has a New Life, through our Savior, Jesus Christ.
One more, saved to be a vessel for, the Righteousness of The Lord,
With work by God prepared for us, who come to know Christ Jesus.
We were saved to one day rise, to our eternal home above the skies,
Saved by Grace on this earthly sod, to be new trophies for our God,
Together we can shine His Light, in a world where wrong seems right,
And then will see our Savior’s face, when in God’s eternal showcase.

Striving For Suffering
It is not achievements or goals or trophies
Or accolades or awards or the end itself
For which we strive, we as humans think that
Is what we desire, but
What we really seek is adversity and suffering
We all desperately long for it
Yo may at first think it strange or untrue
But in fact it is what we all yearn for, even you
Simply getting a trophy or award means nothing
IT is the work, the blood, sweat, and tears
That we all really desire, it's that something
There's a voice inside everyone hears
Pushing them to do more, to achievement,
but that achievement is wrought in suffering
Empowered by the pain and time, as if heaven-sent
It is only in the trial that we can have triumph
Only in adversity we can make the jump
From mundane normalcy to achievement, thus it is
Truly the pain itself that separates normalcy
From triumph it is not the trophy or the end
But the means that got you there.

Honey tell me--
When your working day is done--
Were you reaching for the high rung--
Reaching to be number one?
You get a car
You want a boat
You want an eenie-meenie-miney miney-moe
Oh there must be more to living
Than a mortgage and a lawn to mow
Sweaty work
And lucky breaks
And blood and tears is all it takes
To be a winner!
People cheer
And people gasp
People want your autograph
When youre a winner!
Run, run, run, run
Lets see you run
Well be betting by the starting gun!
Shall we shower you with flowers
Or shall we shun ya
When your race is run?
Will we shower you with flowers
Or will we shun ya
When your race is run?
Will they shower you with flowers
Or will they shun ya
When your race is run?
Got to be a winner--trophy winner
Get to hold your head up high up!
Number one!

Jumpin The Gun
Heaven blesses those who wait, patience is a virtue, son
Keep your toe on the line, keep your foot on the brake
No sense jumpin the gun
But girl Im tired of waitin, you know lifes too short
Lemme kiss ya til the night is done
Aint no doubt about it, youre my favourite sport, God I wanna jump the gun
Chorus:
Feel like jumpin the gun, tonight Im gonna jump the gun
No crime in havin some fun, how about jumpin the gun
(chorus)
Now they say it doesnt matter if ya win or lose
Only matters how ya play the game
Well, but let me tell ya baby, if I had to choose
Gotta win ya now or go insane
(chorus)
Willya hold me like a trophy, willya burn up the track
Willya love me when the titles won
Blow away the competition baby, never look back, honey willya jump the gun
Girl:<
Gonna hold ya like a trophy, gonna burn up the track
Gonna love ya when the titles won
Theyll be eatin up the dust baby, never look back
Tonight Im gonna jump
Better get ready, better get set girl - this time were jumpin the gun
Ya think were goin too fast, aint seen nothin yet girl
This time were jumpin the gun
Ready take your mark, ooh I just cant wait - this time were jumpin the gun
Ya gotta break a couple rules if ya wanna break the tape
This time were jumpin the gun
(chorus repeats out)

Inquisition
I wish I had more time to spend,
In this inquisition you are in.
And when you receive
Information you are willing to accept
And only believe,
Don't perceive me there waiting...
With my heart on my sleeve.
I would have retrieved my belongings
And from you I did leave!
Patterns of doubt,
You want to start and toss about...
May be great for those anticipating your charms,
But I don't need you as a trophy,
To dangle uncertain on my arm!
If you're going to be with me...
Know that I wanted to be there with you!
I'm not looking for aggravation...
You want to start OR put me through!
