Miles Davis was a master. In every phase of his career, he understood that this music was a tribute to the African muse.

Miles Davis was doing something inherently African, something that has to do with all forms of American music, not just jazz.

Love Brewed
The phase of my love to you and,
The phase two of my act towards your muse;
Obsessed by my wealth and the elegance of your joy!
But, it is natural to express the feelings of jealousy at times.
Natural breasts,
To look attractive ans to smell sweet;
The natural act,
To look lovely and to look smart;
But, why should someone hurt you my love?
For, i will cry in my grave if i fail to fulfil my dreams for you.
Love brewed in the African pot,
With youthful acts to overcome the ageing nature of things;
And like the muse of poverty as seen around us,
But, i will cry in my grave if i fail to fulfil my dreams for you.

Ry Cooder for me is a master, a great master that has a wonderful feel for Cuban music. He's also paid tribute my talent a bit, even though I don't know half of what he knows.

I saw Al Foster with Miles Davis the other week. It was beautiful. But, the whole thing was, Al Foster played as well as everybody else, but all of them were quite brilliant under Miles Davis' direction.

African Spokesman
I am the African Spokesman and,
I have something for you;
Because, the muse of my African Stew tastes different from yours!
And, it is infused with a special ingredient from the African Soil.
I am the muse that you are reading and,
I am the African Child with my words so sweet! !
And like the love of your mind without the wars around you;
Because, i am always for the peace of this world.
I am the African Spokesman and,
I am presenting the muse of my mind from Africa to educate you;
For, mankind had now made more amumunitions for war!
But, we really don't need them when, we talk about peace on this earth.
Listen and look for peace around you always,
Learn and care for others around you always,
For education is not always about degrees! !
Because, the very professors are the very ones who made these weapons of war.
The African Spokesman is what i am,
Along the streets of Africa and around the hiding places of the ghettoes!
For, i have seen many things in my life and, i have more to tell to you;
But, like the colours of the rainbow,
We need to love each other in the name of the colours that nature gave us.
I am the African Spokesman and,
I have something for you;
But, if you listen very carefully, you will feel the muse of my love around you!
Because, this world is now being captured by the weapons of war than peace.

Honeycomb
Tribute to men and women,
For the thing of beauty lies in the muse of love;
Tribute to girls and boys!
And like the spinster and the bachelor;
However, to trail a tail that has a tale in Africa is like,
The main sotries of Africa! !
One more time, one more muse;
And in the forest we do eat our food at times,
But, you are the honeycomb that i cannot easily forget.

Abdelhadi
Say it again,
Write it again,
Read it again,
Do it again,
Play it again,
With the African Roots of love to touch the world!
For i am Abdelhadi in the land of your muse,
But get ready to show me your love.
Open season with the African ghetto life styles,
All you need is my muse with the African Roots of love!
For i am ready to touch your heart with my deep love,
And i will do it again and say it again until you understand my muse.

0031 Miles Ahead
Do you ever get fed up
of playing music
that sounds like music?
asked Miles Davis
so I'm asking you
do you ever get fed up
of writing poetry
that sounds like poetry?

Miles Davis turned his back to the audience when he came out on stage, and he offended people. But, he wasn't there to entertain; he was all about the music. I kind of do that.

I have friends, African American actors, who've had more of a struggle; hopefully they're starting to see some air and light now. But in my directing career, in my acting career, in my producing career, I haven't been bound by a lot of limitations. When I first started doing these kinds of unique characters, these diverse characters, there was hardly anybody doing them. So I had this open road.

African Moon
African moon
Roll with the mighty waves
Well be there soon
Feel the winds as we sail on home to african moon
African moon
My heart beats like the drum
Now it is noon
Loved ones we left behind Ill see again
African moon
African moon
I will see you once more
Yes again Ill adore the real sound of the drum
Oh yes Im sailing feel your hot sun
African moon
African moon
Looking out to the sea
A reunion therell be in the evening sun
Oh theres a new life thats awaiting me
African moon
African moon
This land is my rightful home
Well never roam
Youll weep fou your sons no more and daughters
African moon
Hold up your head
One day youll be understood
Stand and be proud
Your sorrows are gone for good
Hold up your head
And youll be satisfied!

African Spokeswoman! (Dedicated to Ngaka Motaung)
African Spokeswoman!
This is the muse of your love to all that muses;
In the land of the Rainbow Colours to enhance your joy,
And like the muse of peace to all mankind.
African Spokeswoman!
This is the joy of your muse to teach others with your works;
And like the peace of your mind that leads you on always,
But, the world will know that you care.
Dedication to you and dedication to the world of poetry! !
For, in peace we will all live than the scares of the wars around us;
However, we will always listen to the African Spokeswoman to lead us on.
Words and love to the world!
Peace and care to the human race to take care of this earth;
But, to all who care to do the right things always! !
For, wars have never solved any of the problems of mankind.
Listen to the African Spokeswoman!
Listen to her who comes from the South;
For, her muse of love is now presented to you!
And like a jolly-ride in the land of beautiful flowers.

B: XVII: Windsock
The old, the sad, the learned,
The saint and the romantic
All attribute to their muse
The power of gratification,
The only difference being
The type of tribute
each pays
On seeing how good she is
At her usual occupation;
The tribute of honour, laughter,
Acceptance, resignation,
Or more fantastic assignation.

Muse, music! !
Muse, music! !
Very powerful enough;
Influencing the people,
In positive and negative ways;
And like a dance to the volcanoes.
Muse, fuse, defuse, infuse, refuse, use;
And like the muse and the music of 'Route 66'!
For, the Cowboys and the Cowgirls are ready to cheer you up.
Space, pace, lace, ace, race, mace, brace, face!
And like most of the music of the earth today;
However, you better note the kind of music that you listen to,
Because, this can easily lead you into another level.

This Months Messiah
Im just a pilgrim here looking for holy ground
Im just a body lost but my soul can be found
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
I dont know where to turn when answers all fade clear
But I must find a place theres only questions here
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
I feel...feel like Im on trial
Who made a judge of you
Are you this months messiah
I am a fightin man tired of living under the gun
But am I looking for love or am I looking to run
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon
I heard...i heard it on the wire
That its all up to you
Are you this months messiah
How many miles to go
How many miles to babylon

I want to be music
I want to be music
good music
with guitars
and pianos
and tambourines
and drums
and
I want to travel in waves
I want to be played loud
Sometimes I want to be played soft
Quiet, discreet and classy in the background
LOUD abrupt matinstream and underground
I want to be understood
I want my point to made across
Categorized into a genre
Misplaced and lost
I want to be music
CRAZY
INSANITY
DRUG ABUSE
MAKE MONEY
MAKE MONEY
MAKE MONEY
DIE
forgotten
lost
I want to be music
to live on forever
sweet melody
tribute
on and on
