Misunderstood
The ills of all the human race,
The woes of earth that bring disgrace
Would banish, if we only could,
Escape the fiend, Misunderstood.
When Eve and Adam pure and good,
The law divine misunderstood,
A downward course was then begun,
A race that all the earth must run.
The thought is sad, indeed, though true,
That sinners reap in season due,
The fruits of all they sow, and should,
For down in hell they're understood.
The infidels of giant brain,
Would save themselves a deal of pain,
By claiming truth, if such they could,
But they alas! misunderstood.
The wars that devastate the land,
The reason men for wrong will stand,
They have somewhere in seeking good,
The law of right misunderstood.
In harshness do we estimate,
The neighbors oft we underrate,
The scene would change it nature could,
The monster bare, Misunderstood.
The Negro Problem of the times,
Which breeds the most atrocious crimes,
Survives, because in crushing good,
The Golden rule's misunderstood.
The Savior's work on earth was one,
Of building up where sin had run,
He gave to all the highest good,
But passed through life misunderstood.
We long to rest when time is o'er,
In that beyond for evermore,
The habitation of the good,
Above the fiend, Misunderstood.

Misunderstood
(j.p. maunick)
Rejection tars the roads where I have been
Still Im holding on to the same dream
Came through fire and the pouring rain
To be told that Im the one to blame
Chorus:
Misunderstood
(never thought that I would)
Didnt know that I could be
(misunderstood)
Misunderstood
(never thought that I would)
Didnt know that I could be
(misunderstood)
Theyre chasing shadows and theyll never know
The truth about us and their fears will grow
Only we know what has not been told
Well meet in secret in the fields of gold
Chorus
Bridge:
So now they come to see me cry
Too late now, the wells run dry
I know they think Im putting chains on you
Let the fools believe, its what they wanna do

Cant Stop Messin
Sitting at a stop sign
Lookin for a friend of mine
Waiting to salute the flag
Talkin to some he/she
Slidin over next to me
Man, she said, this life is a drag
Its a shaky situation
Im hangin on my will
And I get no satisfaction
On a hundred dollar bill
But I got what I came for
And Ill do it til I drop
You do what you want to do
I aint never gonna stop
You say you got something that makes you feel good
And you cant stop messin with it
All your life youve been so misunderstood
Cause you cant stop messin with it
Sittin by the seashore
Dreamin bout a little more
Circlin the classifieds
976
Man I need another fix
Ill never have to kiss the bride
Yeah, the city is a war zone
This country gone to hell
And the beer cans in the alley
From the rich folks on the hill
Theyre screamin hallelujah
But I dont give a damn
Cause I got my own religion
Yea, its right here in my hand
Chorus:
You say you got something that makes you feel good
And you cant stop messin with it
All your life youve been so misunderstood
Now you cant stop messin with it
Chorus
You say you got nothin makes you feel like you should
Now you cant stop messin with it
All your life youve been so misunderstood
Now you cant stop messin with it
Chorus
You say you got something that makes you feel good
And you cant stop messin with it
All your life youve been so misunderstood
Now you cant stop messin, cant stop messin
Chorus
You say you got something that makes you feel good
And you cant stop messin with it
All your life youve been so misunderstood
Now you cant stop m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-messin with it

Misunderstood
Little old man contemplates
Suicide twice a day
Lifes passed him by
Little old woman scared and blind
Left alone in desperate times
Lifes passed her by
(chorus)
Oh, life its misunderstood them
So they close their eyes
And dream of better days
Oh, life its misunderstood, yeah
Lifes not always fair or so they say
Little boy with vacant eyes
Daddy wont be home tonight
And he dont know why
His mother she sits alone
Tangled in the web shes sewn
She lives lie to lie
(chorus)
Strangled, caged, left alone
Doin time in a broken home
Feelin left to die
Im a product of your troubled ways
You made me what I am today
Now youre askin why
Oh, life its misunderstood me
So I close my eyes
And dream of better days
Oh, life its misunderstood me
Lifes not always fair or so they say
Restless soul deep inside
Searches for some piece of mind
Livin just to die
Im an angry man I always have
Had to fight to survive my past
Sign of these times
Life, its misunderstood me
And I know, know youve been there too
Time lets a restless soul fade away
Lifes not always fair
Lifes not always fair
Or so they say
Yeah, life its misunderstood me
So I close my eyes
And dream of a better day
Oh, life its misunderstood me
Lifes not always fair
Lifes not always fair
Or so they say
Little boy with hopeful eyes
Daddys comin home tonight
So dont you cry

Chauvinist
I’d never really comprehended such a mighty range of
Shapes and sizes down behind, it’s really rather strange:
The buttock muscle in a woman, overlaid with fat
Is actually such a focal point for men to want to pat
Or squeeze, and then to tease her if it’s eminently stout,
Or even risk a stay in clink to sting it with a clout!
After all, we men are tuned to be that way inclined –
And tho’ our needs are varied, girls, they’re all perverse of mind!
Best of all, our sacred dream: to see her shed her gown
When gliding to the shower for the ritual sponging down.
But then alas! With body lathered, oops! she drops the soap;
‘Please! ’ we beg her, ‘bend and bare! ’ But we can only hope!
I’m sure by now you get the picture – like a rule of thumb –
That men like me obsess all day about the fairer bum.

Regina is Regina
There are is fine woman,
girl woman's, girls, there is Regina.
This creature, will see her man cultivate
the eyes of others, not in the simplistic way
the others have so thought.
Woman run the world, woman, smart woman
run there man, not foolishly as stupid chattel
to the ground.
These creatures trust there charge, in silky hot
words, they do reveal the minds of which the rest in
shame , would hide.
He, of her Regina's if it does wrong, never would the
sound of pain from her firm hand,
ever touch or reach your ears, to say.
Except by way of the scullery maid, rich full, chamber
pots in hand, such for some is rich desert.

Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
Baby do you understand me now
If sometimes you see that I'm mad
Don't you know that no one alive can always be an angel?
When everything goes wrong I seem bad
Well I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Baby sometimes I'm so carefree
with a joy that's hard to hide
Then sometimes again it seems that all I have is worry
And then you bound to see my other side
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
If I seem edgy
I want you to know
That I never meant to take it out on you
Life has its problems
and I have my share
And that's me one thing I never wanna do
Baby
Don't you know I'm human
I have thoughts like any other one?
Oh when sometimes I find myself alone regretting
Some little thing
Some simple thing I've done
I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Please don't let me be misunderstood

The Very Thing That Makes You Rich
My father told me, lying on his bed of death,
"boy," he says, "woman she's gonna make it, don't fool your self
'cause she's got something to make a man lay that money, uh, right in her hand
And the very thing that makes her rich will make you poor
The very thing that makes her rich will make you poor"
That's right!
Well, i put you behind the wheel of a deuce and a quarter, yes i did
Had you living like a rich man's daughter, yes i did, i sure did
While you were living high on the hog
You had me down here scuffling like a dog
Well, the very thing that makes you rich makes me poor
The very thing that makes you rich makes me poor
Don't you never ever make such a bad mistake
You know i'd rather climb into bed with a rattlesnake
Then to work hard every day bringing that woman all my pay
The very thing that makes you rich makes me poor,
Makes me so damn poor
The thing that makes her rich makes me poor
The very thing that makes you rich make me poor
Very thing that makes you rich makes me poor
Makes me so damned poor
Money won't change it, no no...

Can I Buy Your Love
Hey girl, can I buy your love
I want you but I’m not rich
I want you but I’m not good looking
My father says, man can’t buy a woman’s love
Unless she loves you
May I ask what love is?
How come no woman loves me
I’ve tried so many times
It’s always a failure
Ended up when she learnt
That I’m not rich
That I’m not educated
That I’m not good looking
What will happen to people like me?
I guess I’d end up married
To the woman who shared
The same fate as me
For, they too have not much choice
To choose
So, what love is?
Could someone define love?
For, I don’t get the right answer
Until I get the right woman
Meaning of love
Would reveal
The truth

Girl, Youll Be A Woman Soon
I love you so much, cant count all the ways
Id die for you girl, and all they can say is
Hes not your kind
They never get tired of puttin me down
And I never know when I come around
What Im gonna find
Dont let them make up your mind
Dont you know
Girl, youll be a woman soon
Please come take my hand
Girl, youll be a woman soon
Soon youll need a man
Ive been misunderstood for all of my life
But what theyre sayin, girl, just cuts like a knife
The guys no good
Well, I finally found what Ive been looking for
But if they get the chance, theyll end it for sure
Sure they would
Baby, Ive done all I could
Now its up to you
Girl, youll be a woman soon
Please come take my hand
Girl, youll be a woman soon
Soon youll need a man
Girl, youll be a woman soon
Please come take my hand
Girl, youll be a woman soon
Soon, but soon youll need a man

Misunderstood
Trying to be misunderstood
But it doesn't do me any good
love the way they smile at me
and the face for eternity
Now let them all fly off
When it comes down
it all comes down
And you will not be found
When it's over it's all over
Even if you make a sound
I'll be misunderstood
By the beautiful and good in this city
But none of it was planned
Take me by the hand
Just don't try and understand
Trying to be misunderstood
Just a product of my childhood
Still I find myself outside
You can't say I haven't tried
Perhaps I tried too hard
No excuses I won't apologise
Or justify your lies
Come find me tell them to me
Look me in the eyes
I'll be misunderstood
By the beautiful and good in this city
But none of it was planned
Take me by the hand
Just don't try and understand
I can't forgive sorry to say
You don't know you're guilty anyway
Isn't it funny how we don't speak
The language of love?

Misunderstood
When you're back in your old neighborhood
The cigarettes taste so good
But you're so misunderstood
You're so misunderstood
There's something there that you can't find
Honest when you're tellin' a lie
You hurt her but you don't know why
You love her but you don't know why
Short on long term goals
There's a party there that we oughtta go to
Do you still love rock and roll?
Do you still love rock and roll?
It's only a quarter to three
Reflecting off your C.D.
You're looking at a picture of me
You're staring at a picture of me
Take the guitar player for a ride
He ain't never been satisfied
He thinks he owes some kind of debt
Be years before he gets over it
There's a fortune inside your head
All you touch turns to lead
You think you might just crawl back in bed
The fortune inside your head
You know you're just a mama's boy
Positively unemployed
So misunderstood
So misunderstood
I know you're gotta God shaped hole
Leanin' out your_______________
So misunderstood (x4)
I'd like to thank you all for nothin'
I'd like to thank you all for nothin' at all
I'd like to thank you all for nothin'
Nothin' (x4)
Nothin' at all
Nothin' (x3)
Nothin' at all

The Old Woman And Her Loyal Maid
the old woman is very rich
she has two children, a lovely daughter and a very naughty son
the lovely daughter dislikes her
and the naughty son wants to kill her
she slaps her often and the more the daughter wants to go away from her
the son is disturbed and furious because he did not know his father enough
the daughter married a gentle man
and the son went away with no know address no known destination
he never came back
while she lives her own life away from the rich woman
the old woman has a loyal maid
who has no memory of humiliating words that the old woman more often
inflicts in her person
the old woman is dying
but the son and daughter have no respect anymore for such word
as mother.
meanwhile the loyal maid keeps swallowing the pesters of the old woman
expecting a part of the wealth
as her pay and legacy
well, this story cannot have an ending yet
the old woman is still alive and the son and daughter are still making up
their minds
what to do next.
Life is a comma. The ending always waits
for something that will be a happy one.
But who knows, except this one, something tragic may happen
at the end. Who knows?
I will for sure.

Her Hidden Treasure
Her flame was only for the women –
Not for us unlucky men;
A weakness lay for feminine way:
To feel an even fairer skin
In silky slide.
Her lips were for the satin love that
Only flows from rising breast;
The creamy tan was not for man
To pull towards a chiselled chest
In weathered hide.
Her hidden treasure down below
Would shy away from macho length
And only rouse upon the blouse
Undone by other sapphic strength –
In time, inside!

You ARE A Woman :)
You are a woman,
A strong woman,
A grown woman,
One who WON'T give me what I want just cause I want it woman.
He needs you woman,
A loving woman,
Non-trusting woman,
One who knows the difference between right and wrong woman.
I found a woman,
You're one of em,
So many love em,
You just need to see the places you can be woman.
Hear me woman,
Don't fear me woman,
You're near me woman,
We all face strife, gotta change yo life woman.
See me woman,
No fake or frontin,
Can't be me woman,
For I am a man and you need to be a WOMAN!

Is this woman? a woman of vertue,
Is this woman? a super woman
Is this woman? a woman of mission and vision
Is this woman? classy and stylish
Is this woman? preffesional or house wife
And the woman of action and motion
A woman of courage and resilence
A woman of liberation and liberty
A woman of passion and compassion
A woman of thoughts and opinions
A woman of empathy and sympathy
A woman of concerns and kindness

A woman of confrontation or insecurity
A woman of altracation or tranquility
