Those who weep for the happy periods which they encounter in history acknowledge what they want; not the alleviation but the silencing of misery.

Im Only Happy When It Rains
Im only happy when it rains
Im only happy when its complicated
And though I know you cant appreciate it
Im only happy when it rains
You know I love it when the news is bad
And why it feels so good to feel so sad
Im only happy when it rains
Pour your misery down, pour your misery down on me
Pour your misery down, pour your misery down on me
Im only happy when it rains
I feel good when things are going wrong
I only listen to the sad, sad songs
Im only happy when it rains
I only smile in the dark
My only comfort is the night gone black
I didnt accidentally tell you that
Im only happy when it rains
Youll get the message by the time Im through
When I complain about me and you
Im only happy when it rains
Pour your misery down, pour your misery down
Pour your misery down on me pour your misery down
Pour your misery down pour your misery down
Pour your misery down on me pour your misery down
Pour your misery down pour your misery down
Pour your misery down on me pour your misery down
Pour your misery down
You can keep me company
As long as you dont care
Im only happy when it rains
You wanna hear about my new obsession?
Im riding high upon a deep depression
Im only happy when it rains
Pour some misery down on me
Im only happy when it rains
Pour some misery down on me
Im only happy when it rains

There are periods in history when change is necessary, and other periods when it is better to keep everything for the time as it is. The art of life is to be in the rhythm of your age.

Weep Not Nigeria
Weep not Nigeria,
for justice is in the offing.
Weep not Nigeria,
for your cries resonate and ring.
Weep not Nigeria,
It's time for your African spring.
Weep not Nigeria,
none shall usurp your role as king.
Weep not Nigeria,
for soon in ecstasy you'll sing.
Weep not Nigeria,
for to towering heights you'll cling.
Weep not Nigeria,
and soar atop the eagle's wing.
Weep not Nigeria,
for your patience will gladness bring.
Weep not Nigeria,
it's time to sing the ding dong song.
Weep not Nigeria,
for your misery will not be long.
Weep not Nigeria,
for you are numbered with the strong.

The Chimney Sweeper: A Little Black Thing Among The Snow
A little black thing among the snow,
Crying 'weep! 'weep!' in notes of woe!
'Where are thy father and mother? say?'
'They are both gone up to the church to pray.
Because I was happy upon the heath,
And smil'd among the winter's snow,
They clothed me in the clothes of death,
And taught me to sing the notes of woe.
And because I am happy and dance and sing,
They think they have done me no injury,
And are gone to praise God and his Priest and King,
Who make up a heaven of our misery.'

The Chimney Sweeper
A little black thing among the snow:
Crying weep, weep, in notes of woe!
Where are thy father & mother? say?

And smil'd among the winters snow:
They clothed me in the clothes of death,
And taught me to sing the notes of woe.
And because I am happy & dance & sing,

And are gone to praise God & his Priest & King,
Who make up a heaven of our misery.

Misery One O One
there is this philosophy
(and i assure you it is adopted by many
perhaps,
without their knowing it) that-
when we make ourselves miserable
people who are miserable
(and the majority is miserable
for quite long)
...will love you for it, since you are like a fallen angel
from up there
and here you are without wings and muddy and bruised
and very much like all of them
and now
with them.
they will love you for this misery
and since you have not really experienced true love
(since you feel that you are abandoned
and molested by whom, how do i know?)
you accept
love in misery
misery loving another misery
misery that seeks company
and here is company....
and so look at this paradox of you
(you do not deserve this, but you choose it just the same)
happy, so happy, in the midst of miserable people
wallowing in misery
the big house in the exclusive millionaire's row
where you once lived
waits for you
you can be there anytime you want
as you still immerse in that feigned misery
Misery 101.
They will give you a grade for that.
Have fun.

Prior to an individual's encounter with the love of God at a particular time in history, however, there has to be another, more fundamental and archetypal encounter, which belongs to the conditions of possibility of the appearance of divine love to man.

Regard It As An Obligation
One should live each day,
Grateful to be cautiously observant.
Do not become too thrilled.
Especially those of you who awaken...
Feeling absolutely wonderful!
Remember...
There is someone you will encounter,
Who will be determined to find your good feeling
Suspicious.
And they will do their best to remind you...
Gloom should be part of your reality.
You can maintain that glorious feeling.
But whatever you do...
Do not ignore their wish to accept their lives,
As they choose.
With complaints and burdens to bear.
Acknowledge their misery.
That's all they want.
They want it to be confirmed.
Do it!
Do not insist there is joy to be felt!
You know that to be true.
You do not have to convince anyone,
Who is on a mission to dispense headaches.
Preserve your peace of mind!
Regard it as an obligation.

Misery
This time I won't take you back
Somethings come into you
This time I'm gonna breathe a breath
Walking on down the road
I could never promise that you'd never be lonely
But as long as we're together, We could all end up happy
Misery, Lo do do do do
Last night I got off the fence
'Cause I wont be a fool
This side the grass is greener than
The garden that I used to grow
Walking on down the road
I could never promise that you'd never be lonely
But as long as we're together, We could all end up happy
Misery, Lo do do do do
Misery, Misery
I could never promise that you'd never be lonely
But as long as we're together, We could all end up happy
Misery
Oh
Lo do do do do
Misery, Misery
This time I wont take you back
'Cause I wont be the fool

Weep Day
I never went to the tropical island
Though everybody said they saw me there
And it wasnt me you punched a hole in
At the west german protest march
Simultaneous events dont happen
We are isolated temporally
And a part is never called the whole thing
Though it bothers us to know its so
Every man is made of two opinions
Every woman has a second half
And its samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man (samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man)
Yes, its samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man (samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man)
I didnt write the words you hear me singing (didnt write the words you hear me singing)
I didnt sing the line before this one (didnt sing the line before this one)
You are not the one I was addressing (you are not the one I was addressing)
That person took a train to africa (africa)
Where he met the consulate from belgium
Who is now a buddhist in a cave
Who is pitching for the oakland raiders
Striking out the batter she became
Every man is made of two opinions
Every woman has a second half
And its samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man (samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man)
Yes, its samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man (samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man)
Yes, its samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man (samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man)
Weep day for urine man (weep day for urine man)
Weep day for urine man (weep day for urine man)
Weep day for urine man (weep day for urine man)
Weep day weep day
Weep day weep day
Weep day weep day
Weep (weep) weep (weep) weep (weep) weep (weep)
Weep (weep) weep (weep) weep (weep) weep (weep)
Weep (weep) weep (weep) weep (weep) weep (weep)
Weep (weep) weep (weep) weep (weep) weep (weep)

Page of my History
Some laughs some tears
This is it, its what we feared
We are going our separate ways
Things getting easier by the days
You’re now a page of my history
Many days of adventure and fun
But we both know we aren’t the one
The pain eases so very slow
But it’s for the best and we know it
You’re now a page of my history
The not knowing is the mystery
But us being together is history
We will get over the misery
Even though I miss yee
You’re now a page of my history
We gave it our best shot
But it was a game we lost
Our love is lost but never gone
We will find a place to keep it safe
You’re now a page of my history

Misery
Misery
I know you got troubles but you dont have to spread it about
Misery
You moan and you groan but all of that I can live without
Well
Until you stop worrying about yourself
Youll never get anywhere with me
Ill still be hanging in there but youre still a misery
Until you learn to laugh youll never come to any parties at my house
My house
And if you go on like this the only house youll ever visit is the nut house
Nut house
Youre such a misery, why dont you learn to laugh
Look in the mirror and
Dont take yourself so seriously
Well
Dollar bills could fall from the sky
But still you wouldnt be satisfied
But Im not going to let you depress me
Until you learn to laugh youll never come to any parties at my house
My house
And if you go on like this the only house youll ever visit is the nut house
Nut house
Youre such a misery, why dont you learn to laugh
Look in the mirror and
Dont take yourself so seriously
Ah ah ah ah
Misery
Youre only happy when youre feeling totally down
Misery
I only ever see you when your chins hanging on the ground
Well
Until you learn to laugh at yourself
Youll never get anywhere with me
Im down but Im still happy but
Youre such a misery, well
Youre such a misery, well
Youre such a misery
