I was a new devotee of Eastern mysticism and even though I did not join that particular group, I could well have done. They seemed a bit extreme but I regarded myself as not quite ready.

Exodus
Theyre sending back pictures from saturn and mars
Maybe this will be our new home
Well we seem to have messed up
And we must look to the stars
Our paradise we seem to have outgrown
Join the line
Put down your name
Get ready for a ride on the exodus plane
Well weve been much too greedy
Wanting too much to fast
But we have to say we are what we are
Well the trees and the plants and the animals have gone
Long ago
Used to be real air to breath, they say so
Join the line
Put down your name
Get ready for a ride on the exodus plane
Join the line
Put down your name
Get ready for new life
Anyway its too late for what might have been
Kiss the earth goodbye and get out of here
If theres anybody out there
Hope they havent made the same mistakes
Turning gold into garbage and a banquet into dustcakes
Join the line
Put down your name
Get ready for a ride on the exodus plane
Join the line
Put down your name
Get ready for new life
Join the line
Put down your name
Get ready for a ride on the exodus plane
Get ready for new life

What I believe in touches many aspects of religious and spiritual thought. Mainly I'm influenced and inspired by the eastern yogi's aspect of mysticism, Which is, I think, the future.

To Find A Cause
We find a cause to join together
Rather than join for a cause
As we long to belong a group
Rather than stand for a cause

What does mysticism really mean? It means the way to attain knowledge. It's close to philosophy, except in philosophy you go horizontally while in mysticism you go vertically.

The Cold War
The Cold War. (Norway 1964)
A group of ten men in cheap suits and hats, crew on a Soviet ship
anchored in the bay. Walked around the streets looking at window
displays. Suddenly one of the men broke away from the group,
he ran down a side road, but was swiftly caught by the local police,
who had followed the group a discreet distance; only few people
noticed the incident. The fugitive sat on the pavement crying, was
forced to join the group. The man, now surrounded by the others,
had no escape. They walked around a little longer like nothing odd
had happened, then they headed back to the docks where a boat
picked them up and drove them back to their vessel in the bay.

Caravan Of Love
Are you ready
Are you ready
Are you ready
Are you ready
Are you ready for the time of life
Its time to stand up and fight
So alright
So alright
Hand in hand we take a caravan to the marble land
One by one we gonna stand up with pride
One that cant be denied
Stand up
Stand up
From the highest mountain of valley old
We all shall together with heart of gold
Now the children of the world can see
This a better place for us to be
The place is which we were born
So neglected and torn apart
Every woman every man
Join the caravan of love
(stand up) stand up
Stand up
Every body takes a stand
Join the caravan of love
(stand up) stand up
Stand up
Im your brother
Im your brother dont you know
Shes my sister
Shes my sister dont you know
Well be living in the world of peace
And the day when everyone is free
Bring the young and the old
Want you let chilled flow from your heart
Every woman every man
Join the caravan of love
(stand up) stand up
Stand up
Every body takes a stand
Join the caravan of love
(stand up) stand up
Stand up
Im your brother
Im your brother dont you know
Shes my sister
Shes my sister dont you know
So are you ready ( hes coming )
Are you ready ( hes coming )
Are you ready ( hes coming )
Are you ready ( hes coming on the caravan )
You better get ready ( go for it )
You better get ready ( go for it )
You better get ready ( go for it )
You better get ready

Join Together
When you here this sound a-comin,
Hear the drummers drumming,
I want you to join together with the band,
We dont move in any ticular direction,
And we dont make no collections,
I want you to join together with the band.
Do you really think I care,
What you read or what you wear,
I want you to join together with the band,
Theres a million ways to laugh,
And every ones a path,
Come on and join together with the band.
Everybody join together, I want you to join together,
Come on and join together with the band,
We need you to join together, come on and join together,
Come on and join together with the band.
You dont have to play,
You can follow or lead the way,
I want you to join together with the band,
We dont know where were going,
But the seasons right for knowing,
I want you to join together with the band.
Its the singer not the song,
That makes the music move along,
I want you to join together with the band,
This is the biggest band youll find,
Its as deep as it is wide,
Come on and join together with the band,
Hey hey hey hey hey hey, well everybody come on.
Come on and join, join together with the band,
We need you to join together, everybody come on,
Hey hey hey, join together with the band.

Extremes, though contrary, have the like effects. Extreme heat kills, and so extreme cold: extreme love breeds satiety, and so extreme hatred; and too violent rigor tempts chastity, as does too much license.

Ch 02 The Morals Of Dervishes Story 35
In conformity with the above sentiments an affair of importance emerged to a padshah, who thereon vowed that, if it terminated according to his wishes, he would present devotees with a certain sum of money. His wish having been fulfilled, it became necessary to keep his promise. Accordingly he gave a purse of dirhems to one of his confidential servants to distribute it among recluses. It is related that the slave was intelligent and shrewd. He walked about all day and returning at nightfall, kissed the dirhems and deposited them before the king with the remark that he had not found any devotees. The king rejoined: ‘What nonsense is this? As far as I know there are four hundred devotees in this town. He said: ‘Lord of the world, who is a devotee does not accept money and who accepts it is not a devotee.’ The king smiled and said to his courtiers: ‘Despite of my wishing to do good to this class of worshippers of God, this rogue bears them emnity and thwarts my wish but truth is on his side.’
If a devotee has taken dirhems and dinars
Find another who is more a devotee than he.
Are You Ready?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Are you ready to meet jesus?
Are you where you ought to be?
Will he know you when he sees you
Or will he say, depart from me?
Are you ready, hope youre ready.
Am I ready, am I ready?
Am I ready, am I ready?
Am I ready to lay down my life for the brethren
And to take up my cross?
Have I surrendered to the will of god
Or am I still acting like the boss?
Am I ready, hope Im ready.
When destruction cometh swiftly
And theres no time to say a fare-thee-well,
Have you decided whether you want to be
In heaven or in hell?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Have you got some unfinished business?
Is there something holding you back?
Are you thinking for yourself
Or are you following the pack?
Are you ready, hope youre ready.
Are you ready?
Are you ready for the judgment?
Are you ready for that terrible swift sword?
Are you ready for armageddon?
Are you ready for the day of the lord?
Are you ready, I hope youre ready.

To relate oneself in the spirit of reverence for life to the multiform manifestations of the will-to-live which together constitute the world is ethical mysticism. All profound world-view is mysticism, the essence of which is just this: that out of my unsophisticated and naïve existence in the world there comes, as a result of thought about self and the world, spiritual self-devotion to the mysterious infinite Will which is continuously manifested in the universe.

Afraid To Crack
soon there is no use of your fear
in due time
you crack
extreme heat
extreme cold
like a seed
your mind cracks
but do not lose hope
my dear
we all crack
on extreme pain
on extreme joys
we give room
for the seed
to grow
just wait
just wait

Devotees
Two kinda of devotees you know
True and false
True devotee is
More than you
You know
False devotee
Destroyed themselves
In due course.
Who is true and
Who is false
You know.
It is the degree of
Devotion and not
Its kind that matter.
You know better.

The snob wishes to attach himself to some group because it is already regarded as an elite; friends are in danger of coming to regard themselves as an elite because they are already attached. We seek men after our own heart for their own sake and are then alarmingly or delightfully surprised by the feeling that we have become an aristocracy.

Official Existence
'Join each other and group yourselves,
But for Heaven's sake do not name yourselves;
Do anything and everything: cultural political and social,
But be sure to remain strictly unofficial'.
How can one be without a name or identity?
Can he unofficially exist in a well-known city?
Identity denied, existence denied;
Leaders can no longer upon be relied.
So let us join together and defend our identity,
Because our very existence depends on it.

Days Before You Came
Days before you came
Freezing cold and empty
Towns that change their name
And a horn of plenty
Days before you came
Counting breaths inside me
Even crack cocaine
Couldn't start to hide me
Won't you join me now
Baby's looking torn and frayed
Join the masquerade
Join the masquerade
Won't you join me now
Baby's looking to get laid
Join the masquerade
Join the masquerade
Days before you came
It always seemed enticing
to be naked and profane
there is no denying
Days before you came
Thunderbolts and lightning
Each day a brand new vein
Each tourniquet colliding
Didn't what you anyway [x4]
Won't you join me now
Baby's looking torn and frayed
Join the masquerade
Join the masquerade
Won't you join me now
Baby's looking to get laid
Join the masquerade
Join the masquerade
Days before you came [repeat]

To Survive
to survive i go for the golden mean
not so tall and not so short
the tastier, meatier part i suppose
is the middle part of the sandwich
the smoother flow is the middle
part of the river
the safer part is the middle in every
location
at the extreme right what do you get?
or at the extreme left?
i sing between
you extreme joy is killing you with arrogance
your extreme sorrow is killing you with hopelessness
you see,
i live in the middle of everything
not so hot and not so cold and they always call it
this paradise.
