The first duty of society is to give each of its members the possibility of fulfilling his destiny. When it becomes incapable of performing this duty it must be transformed.

If we must all agree, all work together, we're no better than a machine. If an individual can't work in solidarity with his fellows, it's his duty to work alone. His duty and his right. We have been denying people that right. We've been saying, more and more often, you must work with the others, you must accept the rule of the majority. But any rule is tyranny. The duty of the individual is to accept no rule, to be the initiator of his own acts, to be responsible. Only if he does so will the society live, and change, and adapt, and survive. We are not subjects of a State founded upon law, but members of a society founded upon revolution. Revolution is our obligation: our hope of evolution.

Do Your Duty
Wesley sox wilson
If I call three times a day
Come and drive my blues away
When you come, be ready to play
Do your duty
If you want to have some love
Give your baby your last buck
Dont come quackin like a duck
Do your duty
I heard you say you didnt love me
Numb as mrs. brown
I dont believe a word they say
Shes the lyinest woman in town
When I need attention at home
Ill call you on the phone
Come yourself, dont send your friend jones
Do your duty
If my radiator get too hot
Cool it off in lots of spots
Give me all the service youve got
Do your duty
If you dont know what its all about
Dont sit around my house and pout
If you do youll catch your mama tippin now
Do your duty
If you make your own bed hard
Thats the way o life
Im tired of sleepin by myself
But you too dumb to realize
Im not tryin to make you feel blue
Im not satisfied with the way you do
Ive got to help you find somebody too
Do your duty

Crime
Shirking duty
Is crime
Shirking duty
Is sin
Shirking duty
Brings discredit
And losing honour
And fame
Shirking duty
Is painful and infamy
Shunning duty
Is a crime
Is a sin.

Human Rights’
In a civilised land
That accepts duty to all
Citizens have rights
Some great, some small
This is how things should be
To those who value
Truth and fairness
And justice and decency
But those who treasure money
And the power of wealth
Seek to remove such rights
Through deceit and stealth
They claim that duty
Comes before such rights
But they accept no obligation
For causing another’s plight
Obligation before rights
Is their loud refrain
But fulfilling their own duties
Is something they distain
For rights are for the powerful
Whilst duty is for the poor
And decency and justice
The Country provides no more
Human Rights matter
To ensure justice for all
For saints and for sinners
For all people great and small
The alternative is ugly
With justice a forgotten myth
With power replacing fairness
And a society that is truly sick

Duty And Work!
Sun rises and sets everyday;
Moon rises and sets everyday;
Plough man ploughs the field;
Poets love to compose poems!
Some love to do duty well;
But many do only for profit.
How duty has to be done?
What do duty, work mean?
Duty is done expecting none;
Work is done expecting some.
Duty and work all have to do;
But duty, works are different!
Duty is life work for everyone;
Work is done to live life here!

Duty is for Kant the One and All. Out of the duty of gratitude, he claims, one has to defend and esteem the ancients; and only out of duty has he become a great man.

It is better to do one's own duty, however defective it may be, than to follow the duty of another, however well one may perform it. He who does his duty as his own nature reveals it, never sins.
Go On Duty
Go On Duty
And be a man like GOD.
Concentrate yourself
On your duty and
Do not utter.
Do your duty
As a gardener
Do not think yourself
As a owner.

When men take pleasure in feeling their minds elevated with strong drink, and so indulge their appetite as to disorder their understandings, neglect their duty as members of a family or civil society, and cast off all regard to religion, their case is much to be pitied.

OUR Duty...
It is my duty to stand up for my country and belief
It is my duty to end my brothers’ and sisters’ grief
It is my duty to fight for my country and to spread goodness and trust
It is my duty to proclaim peace and harmony as a must
If everyone could just shake hands
Where difference no longer stands
If everyone could just walk together
Then the peace and harmony that I’m calling for shall last forever
If we could just unite and abolish all the wars
Then we shall unlock all of the friendship doors
If we could put an end to all the pain from people no matter what color or faith they are
Then the road to heaven and eternal happiness shall not be far
It is OUR duty to stand up for OUR country and belief
It is OUR duty to end OUR brothers’ and sisters’ grief

Epitaph
All beauty to pourtray,
Therein his duty lay,
And still through toilsome strife
Duty to him was life—
Most thankful still that duty
Lay in the paths of beauty.

It is easier to do one's duty to others than to one's self. If you do your duty to others, you are considered reliable. If you do your duty to yourself, you are considered selfish.

Love, not Duty
Thought may well be ever ranging,
And opinion ever changing,
Task-work be, though ill begun,
Dealt with by experience better;
By the law and by the letter
Duty done is duty done
Do it, Time is on the wing!
Hearts, ’tis quite another thing,
Must or once for all be given,
Or must not at all be given;
Hearts, ’tis quite another thing!
To bestow the soul away
Is an idle duty-play!
Why, to trust a life-long bliss
To caprices of a day,
Scarce were more depraved than this!
Men and maidens, see you mind it;
Show of love, where’er you find it,
Look if duty lurk behind it!
Duty-fancies, urging on
Whither love had never gone!
Loving if the answering breast
Seem not to be thus possessed,
Still in hoping have a care;
If it do, beware, beware!
But if in yourself you find it,
Above all things mind it, mind it!

I have no duty to be anyone's Friend and no man in the world has a duty to be mine. No claims, no shadow of necessity. Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art, like the universe itself (for God did not need to create). It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival.

Sonnet: Isn’t Something Really Wrong
When man just fails behaving like a man,
When humanistic norms are thrown to wind,
When man puts others like sardines in can,
His conscience and soul, he did rescind.
When force is used on hapless men in sleep,
When age and cadre, don’t mean anything,
When in the name of duty, all can peep!
Where have the basic rights gone for earthlings?
Which society treats all as criminals?
What is the use of hard won freedom then?
When there is access not to urinals!
We better are called ‘beasts’ than rather men.
Don’t be a beast while doing your duty;
A humane touch gives every man beauty!

Duty shuts to love
To care wife or love own children
Is not considered duty. It is love.
To take care of one’s parents is duty.
Duty is in; it means love is out.

Tomorrow is the laundry day
Tomorrow is the laundry day
Though tomorrow’s bright and sunshine strikes
Seduce you to play outside
But duty must be priority
Washing the dirty to be clean again
And your day will feel light
After you do that
Tomorrow is the laundry day
Though tomorrow’s cloudy and can’t stop rainy
Bother you with damp laundry
But duty is duty
Washing the dirty so it won’t be stinky
And your day will be bright
After you do that
Tomorrow is the laundry day
Though your laundry is already loaded
And you don’t want to see or touch
But duty must be completed
Washing the dirty so it ready to be used
And your day will feel more comfortable
After you do that
Tomorrow is the laundry day
Though your heart grumbles “Later”
No, do not listen that lazy one
Duty is to be worked not be grouch
Washing is a fun job if your heart happy
And your day will be victory
After you do that
