I always thought it would be really cool to be playing the drums in the show and then have your astral body or whatever travel all through the audience and dig whatever it's like out there.

Being on Oprah? You realize that there are a couple of types of audience members. There are like the cult people in the audience who are just crying before she gets on. And then there are the people who are playing it cool. I definitely was somewhere in the middle.

Astral Plane
I lie down
On the bed
Relax into my own head
I start to feel
The power
Of the astral light
Rising through my body
Faster than
The speed of light
I feel a calm
As my body shoots
Into an astral time
As I ride along
On the colours
Of the astral plane
I see far away places
Sandy beaches
Seas so blue
I see places
With no faces
Faces with no places
People from my past life
People from the next
Then I return to my bed
With peace in my head
Knowing it's not
My journeys end

Sweet Astral Dream
Sweet astral dream
come for me
take me to the planes
where I can be free
Show me the colour
and the lights that calm me
show me the multi layered universe
Sweet astral dream
come for me

Three times during the show the drums are lifted over the audience - I go up and out, right, left and back.

Astral Body (demo Remix)
Into this world we're thrown
A lifeform without a home
Clowns in a circus called the material world
Gods without immortality, nothing to lose
Nothing to gain, nothing to keep
Shepherds of dreams, we are what we are
Lovers, losers, loners, leapers, liars
The meaning of life and i want to touch
Your astral body !!!
We are what we are
Oh, we're so full of light, don't let it die
And i want to touch your astral body !!!
And if i put pennies on your eyes or pyramids
On your grave, mysteries mountain high
The day i have to go
But before i leave, i just want to feel love !!!
I want to touch somebody else than me
We are what we are...

I enjoy playing the band as the band. I 'be' the whole band and I'm playing the drums, I'm playing the guitar, I'm playing the saxophone. To me, the most wonderful thing about playing music is that.

Rock N Roll
Everybody's cool playing rock n roll
Everybody's cool playing rock n roll
I don't feel cool at all
I don't feel cool at all
Send all of my best out to the hand
I don't think I'll make it out to the show
There's this girl I can't get out of my head
There's this girl I can't get out of my head
And I don't feel so cool at all

There is always an audience for different individuals, but critics sometimes stop the audience finding the show and the show finding the audience.

Searching Inner Space
Searching now for inner space
Sure one day to find the place
What means of travel does one face
This journey from the human race
Listen sounds to tell the way
Or wait the stars to show way
Doth the soul to body say
Suppress all fears felt today
If it's thought that moves the man
Act as if your thoughts still can
God designed this travel well
So we can move through heav'n or hell
Take a trip a different kind
Open channels in your mind
Inner space you soon will find
Is god and you intertwined
The choice is yours all's been planned
You can move through thought command
Meditate and learn first hand
Your mind controls this world so grand

She
She
She
Lock the bus undo the chain
Getting all to hot, gotta head on 5th and main
I look like you I feel the same
You don't even know my name
I got this tied up to my cell
Well everybody's gone to the everybody shell
Are you coming through, do you want me to, take your body
It would be so cool, to be cool with you, I said lordy lordy
I don't like blood into the chain
A dirty sun will burn away
Do you even want to stay
Are you coming through, do you want me to, take your body
It would be so cool, to be cool with you, I said lordy lordy
Where'd ya get that bruise, do you want me to,
take your body
I must still, taking your bod away
Are you coming through, do you want me to, take your body
It would be so cool, to be cool with you. I said lordy lordy
Where'd ya get that bruise, do you want me to,
take your body
I must still, taking your bod away

Seasoned Travellers for Chris Savin
In dreams I travel where I will.
Although I do not have the skill
to dictate where I want to go
Some people can do this I know.
They have acquired mastery
so they can control completely.
The content of their lucid dreams
Just as they like or so it seems
They tell me if I practice hard
in time I will gain my reward
Be free to travel astral
to anywhere I want to be
But until then I must make do
not knowing where I’m going to.

Very Last Thought
What is the very last thought
that will cross my mind?
Drawing last breath, that thought
not anyone will find.
I'll take it with me
and let it inspire me
to keep me soaring high,
higher than the deep blue sky.
The thought alone is filled with love.
It will not break apart.
It will escape the body I leave behind
and seek a brand new start.
That thought will find its way
and travel to where you'll be
and when it finds its dsetination
that thought will become me.
The question in my last thought
will most probably be
whether or not you'll recognize
that the thought contains me?

I've always been switching around the show to accommodate the audience, and you know it really makes it a lot more fun for me and keeps it fresh so that I'm not complacent with the same show every night and with every audience.

Try It
(clarke / hicks / nash)
Travel by the silver line
To a place that has no time.
Why dont you try it now?
Working hard to see the light,
Let your mind take up in flight.
Why dont you try it now?
Its beautiful, seeing all the colors of the rainbow,
Beautiful, covering the people that we know.
See the color of health
Flowing from your older self.
Why dont you try it now?
Living good, stopped playing games,
Traveling the astral planes.
Why dont you try it now?

Intimacy comes from being yourself on the stage and making the audience feel, without trying, that you're sittin' down there with 'em, playing, and that can happen in a big hall, if you have a good audience that want to listen.

A performance is only as good as the audience you are playing to. A lot of times you feed off of the audience, and we always try to give them all we've got and sometimes you don't get a lot back, but we've never been dead whenever we've performed.

My son now is 22 months old, he's been playing since he was 12 months old and he gets standing ovations on the drums. He's been with us since he was 10 weeks old, he's been on the drums. He's got blisters on his fingers before he can even talk.
