True music must repeat the thought and inspirations of the people and the time. My people are Americans and my time is today.

It's Music Time
It's Music Time - what shall I do?
It's Music Time today.
I haven't really thought it through
And it's Music Time today.
It doesn't have to last too long
This Music Time today.
We haven't finished our number work
We could miss Music Time today.
But Johnny and Jane will go berserk
If there's no Music Time today.
We could always sing that assembly song
At Music Time today.
I know they'll want to get the instruments out
At Music Time today.
But can I stand all that crashing about?
When it's Music Time today.
Maybe we could take turns to play?
At Music Time today.
And if there's too much noise we'll just put them away
At Music Time today.

Makin Music For Money
By: alex harvey
1974
When I woke up this mornin
I was tired as I could be
I think I was countin my money
When I should a been countin sheep
My agent he just called me
And told me what I should be
If I would make my music for money
Instead of makin music for me
Chorus:
I said, I know that this may sound funny
But money dont mean nothin to me
I wont make my music for money
No, Im gonna make my music for me
He said, the people only buy the love songs
Rock n roll and not too long
He said, son you got to be commercial
If you want to turn the people on
And I said, turnin on the people
Now thats a beautiful place to be
But if I spend my time makin them up a rhyme
Well, whos gonna turn on me?
Repeat chorus:
Well now I went up to country
And Ill tell you all about the scene
I found a place with much charm and much grace
That wasnt touched by the music machine
Whoa, the people were havin a good time
Makin music all day long
And nobody cared if they ever got paid
One penny for playin a song
Repeat chorus:
Repeat chorus:
Whoa, I know...

People Talk Of Love...
In today's world of greed,
In today's world of fraud,
In today's world of broken relations,
People talk of true love.
In today's world of materialism,
In today's world of selfishness,
In today's world of distress,
People talk of true love.
In today's world of mishappenings,
In today's world of misunderstandings,
In today's world of one- night stands,
People talk of true love.
People have the right to love;
If they honour the values and culture.
People have the right to love;
If they know the need of each other.
and people have the right to love
If they have faith that one day they 'll be together.

Maybe Today
Maybe today
Maybe tomorrow
Maybe someday
Things shall be any different
Than they are today
Maybe today the moon shall smile
Maybe today the world will dance
To the music and rhythm of yesterday’s drums
Maybe today our visions will rise to its Zenith
Maybe today we shall walk on the wire of our purest imaginations
Maybe today is all we have to become the architects of our fate
Maybe today is the perfect time to make peace
Maybe today is the best day chosen to forgive and let go
Maybe today is the time to be better people than we were yesterday
Maybe today is the best day to say ”AM SORRY”
Maybe today is the day to climb the highest mountain of purpose.
Who knows what tomorrow has in store?

Step back in time.. See the 1909 Football Team
Look into faces and see how they used to dream
Kiowas and early Pioneers on the same porch
For these are the people who carried the torch
Native Americans trained in the law on a horse
These are the men who established our course
For these are the people that lead the way
To help make Oklahoma a great State today

Peace That Was Never Peace
Wars, famon, and hatred
That’s what our world’s full of today
Nothing but pain and suffering
That never goes away
‘We’re in a time of peace, ’ they say
But how can that be true
With news of war on every channel
The word peace just won’t do
People are being killed
By brothers, sisters, friends
People they thought cared about them
Are forcing their life to end
This is no time of peace
There are many who can prove it
There are baby’s dying, and children
And it’s all of us who do it
Where is our peace now
It’s gone, it is decieced
Our lives are filled with the lies
Of peace that was never peace

Sonnet- The World Today(14)
People with intact eyes, yet appear blind;
Peop1e with alert ears seem not to hear;
People with intact nose, no sme11 can find;
People with every joy appear to tear.
People are cheats and cheat themselves all life;
People tell lies to men and to themselves;
People well-off, appear to be in strife;
People are bad and appear worse than Elves.
The world is bad and so people turn bad;
The world isn’t true and so people are not;
The world is mad and so people turn mad;
The world's a show and people simply plot.
And people waste their time and waste others';
And people aren't true to their own brothers.

People
Im forever struck
By the people in this town
And the way they go about their world
Have they given up
All the fun they used to have in adolescent xanadu
Everything is too much time and trouble
They must be seen as being respectable
Theyre too busy with their social climbing
Waiting for a rise
Chorus.
Why cant people just be people
When they were young
They would wish for the summer evenings that would never end
Now the days too long
And the key to life is locked away in childhood memories
Some people judge a man as reasonable
If the wine he buys is seasonable
Theyve time for friendship if its advantageous
And causes no pain
Chorus:
Why are people so deceitful
Why cant people just be people
There is more to the world
Than is offered by the soap and war found on the tv screen
And there is more to this life
If you would only take the time to look within and find the key
Dont believe words when theyre superficial
Dont put your trust in values artificial
Let your heart do the talking for a little
And feel yourself shine
Chorus:
Why cant people trust in people
Why cant people just be people
Find the time and youll realise
Life isnt too much time and trouble
(repeat til fade)

A Fool In Love
People say I'm a lion at heart
But they don't know what I am
People say that I stand apart
But they just don't understand
* Everynight when the darkness calls
I'll be there at your beck and call
** I'm a fool for you baby
I'm a fool right now
People say I'm a man of means
But my plans are full of holes
People say I'm a holy child
But I'm rich down to my soul
All I need is you close beside me All I need is to satisfy
**Repeat
I'm a fool for you baby
I'm a fool in love
Every mornin' when the sun comes up
And all your dreams, they slip away
I see your face and I understand
You're the only one, only one to make my day, yeah
Everybody say you ain't no good
But I won't believe it's true
They all say I ought to find someone,
but my heart belongs to you
* Repeat

Look What The Good People Done
They were drinkin his wine
They were usin his name
They were takin the time to take
His name in vain
Look what the good people done to him
Look what the good people done to him
They were havin their fun
Look what the good people done
Well, the good people say things that they
Dont really mean
They look so convincing cause theyre
So squeaky clean
Look what the good people done to him
Look what the good people done to him
Its a million to one
Look what the good people done
They (? put him on walkin down ? ), they said,
Lets go on with the show
And they pad him on whiskey and say, boy,
Youve got to go
Look what the good people done to him
Look what the good people done to him
Hes (? on the highway ? ) to none
Look what the good people done
All the newspaper men
They were lookin for names
Pulled him out of a hat
They needed someone to blame
Look what the good people done to him
Look what the good people done to him
He thought he was the one
Look what the good people done
Well, the good people say,
Keep your nose to the ground
Then theyll build you right up
Just to knock you right down
Look what the good people done to you
Look what the good people done to you
They were gettin their kicks
Look what the good people nixed
[spoken - here we go]
Look what the good people done to me
Look what the good people done to me
Look what the good people done to me
Look what the good people done to me
They were havin no fun
Look what the good people done

End Racism
The eyes of hate stares down at you
with so much dispproval and it makes you
feel uncomfortible and unwelcome,
Racism is major and it has to STOP
its like you want afican americans to
be ashamed to dislike their color because
you dislike it.
Unlike other people who are
afaid to stand up for whats right
im PROUD to be a young black women.
Racism has been going on since 1955 and longer,
Does anyone care about how racism affects alot of people
and, how is brings some of us down as Afican Americans,
As Afican Americans walk down the street all you hear and see is people of other races throwing the N' word at them and fingering them.
it hurts sometimes to see people disapproval of black people but like my mom always told me what doesnt kill you, makes you stronger.
Its time for a change....
END RACISM

Sir Duke
Music is a world within itself
With a language we all understand
With an equal opportunity
For all to sing, dance and clap their hands
But just because a record has a groove
Dont make it in the groove
But you can tell right away at letter a
When the people start to move
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people
Music knows it is and always will
Be one of the things that life just wont quit
But here are some of musics pioneers
That time will not allow us to forget
For theres basie, miller, satchmo
And the king of all sir duke
And with a voice like ellas ringing out
Theres no way the band can lose
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
You can feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
I can feel it all over-all over now people
Cant you feel it all over
Come on lets feel it all over people
You can feel it all over
Everybody-all over people

In Time Like This
In time like this
I hope that people will have compassion toward others
In time like this
I hope that people will learn to use their good manners
That their parents taught them
In time like this
I hope that people will have somebody to lean on
In time like this
I hope that people will reach out to others that are in need
Of food, clothes, money, and shelter
In time like this
I hope that people will pray for each other
In time like this
I hope that
People will be grateful for what they have
In time like these

I Love My Life
Every day I hear the news
Seems like people worship pain
All your oprahs and donahues
They just cant explain
As you reap you shall sow
I looked high I looked low
Now I know that I love my life
I love my life
I said me and my creator
We got a funny love thing
Its happenin now and not later
Yeah, thats why I sing
First came thought then came deed
I got caught now Im freed
All I need is to love my life
I love my life
Time, the topic of the sermon tonight is time
Time, the thief of hope
Time, the ameliorator of all our endeavors
What will we do with time off our backs?
We would make this world a perfect place
We would make our lives a perfect thing, if not for time
But I tell you now, time is an illusion
Time is an illusion, time is not real
Time is the dividing line between what is true and what is not true
Between what is real and what is not real
Between what is so and what is not so
But who, I said who, who stands for time?
Who stands at the threshold of time?
Who decides what is true and what is not true?
We do, you and i
You and I decide what is true and what is not true
What shall be our guiding light?
Happiness, I say happiness
But in a world, I see people in a world of misery
I see a world full of sorrow
Why should we be happy?
Tell me why should we be happy?
We need a message from above
Look over there, look over here
I can see it, there is beauty in the world

The People's World
people are good;
people are bad;
people are happy;
people are sad;
people are near;
people are far;
people are true;
people are blue;
people are white;
people are right;
people are silent;
people are violent;
people can throw;
people can grow;
people can share;
people can care;
people can unite;
people can divide;
people can fool;
people can rule;
people can trust;
people are worst;
don't think i became mad.... what ever i wrote is very common things known about people but what i want to show is that i cannot describe everything about the people as it is impossible in the same way it is impossible to understand and make every person happy around us that's it.got it!

Tomorrow People
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last?
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last?
Today you say you deyah
Tomorrow you say you're gone
But you're gone so long
If there is no love in your heart - so sorry
Then there is no hope for you - true, true
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last?
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last?
So you're in the air
But you still don't have a thing to spare
You're flying high
While we're on the low o-o-oh
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last? Tell me now
Tomorrow people, where is your past? No where
Tomorrow people, how long will you last? Ten years!
Stop tellin' me the same story
Today you say you deyah
Tomorrow you say you're gone and you're not coming back
If there is no love in your heart oh now
There will never be hope for you
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, how long will you last? Ten years!
Tomorrow people, where is your past?
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, come on
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, come on
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, no soon come
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, soon come
Tomorrow people, tomorrow people, today is here
If you don't know your past, you don't know your future
Everyone
Don't know your past, don't know your future everyman
Don't know your past, don't know your future, come on
Don't know your past, don't know your future
How many nations
How many people did that one catch
How many
