I've learned it's always better to have a small percentage of a big success, than a hundred percent of nothing.

I know right a way there's a person that's very insecure; that he's trying to out do me. And, ah, like I was saying before, if you give one-hundred percent of your best, and you may have fault, but there is nothing you can do, because you gave one-hundred percent.

Slice The Memories of It
Count on getting your cut,
Of up to fifty percent less.
'Fifty percent less of what? '
You appear to be intelligent.
This figure may cut deeper than you expect.
Remember neglected responsibilities...
Leaves an exquisite taste for spice you like.
Slice the memories of it,
And do something else...
With that bitterness you will be gifted with.
It seems that glamourous nest you lay resting...
To live that fantastic life you treasure and measured.
At the expense of your pretensions?
Count on getting your cut,
Of up to fifty percent less.
'Fifty percent less of what? '
Of nothing left!
My mama use to tell us,
She could not squeeze blood from a turnip!
And she tried very hard to make us believe...
Eating mustard and mayonaisse sandwiches,
Was good for our teeth and made strong bones!
We were also taught we could not have,
What she and my father did not own!
And she connected this to not having money.
To keep our dreams,
But not to waste them on empty wishes.
In other words...
If one sees there is nothing when shown.
It is best to accept it and adapt!
Take and attach your dreams...
On something you know is yours,
That can not be tapped.
Or taken!
Count on getting your cut,
Of up to fifty percent less.
'Fifty percent less of what? '
Of nothing left!
And that depends on where your mind is,
And how it takes being put to a challenging test!
So...
I do enjoy the basicness of the simplisticness I get.
However...
The peace I own was by me financed,
With a dues to pay and tolerance to look denial in the eye.
I'm not about to sacrifice my dignity.
With or without things taken away from me.
I've learned not to expect to have it.
While others were taught...
They were entitled!
I only felt entitled,
When I did not get obsessed with possessions.
To get upset if they should become repossessed.
I've learned not to expect to have it.
While others were taught...
They were entitled!
We were taught to have standards 'we' value.
And not to pursue dreams tossed away like loose change.
Those days are gone.
When the giving was just for the asking...
Without concerns of how the percentage attached may match!
That is your life.
You are about that which is changing fast.
Quicker than an explanation can drip from the lips,
Of thieves.
And the more I think about it...
Subtraction will be a subject you will learn to master!
At least for you...
All will not be a total loss.

Sure Thing
Baby why you wanna waste your time
On just a pretty face
She changes guys with the mood of the day.
Save yourself a heartache.
Take a look
Im waiting in the wings
A good long look
cause what you got comin is a
Sure thing
Sure thing
One-hundred-percent guaranteed love thats true
Just for you.
No way your heart can lose.
On a sure thing.
Well Im not gonna switch form hot to cold
Play those little tricks youre always gonna know
Just where you stand
Ill be on your right hand.
You wont miss those run-around flings
Make your wish
cause what you got comin is a
Sure thing
Sure thing
One-hundred-percent guaranteed love thats true
Just for you.
No way your heart can lose.
On a sure thing.
Im not putting my hopes on a might or maybe
But one plus one would make a wild pair
Whaddaya say?
Baby ...
What you got comin is a
Sure thing
Sure thing
One-hundred-percent guaranteed love thats true
Just for you.
No way your heart can lose.
On a sure thing.
What you got comin is a sure thing.
You and me baby is a sure thing.
Sure thing ...
Sure thing.

What Defines Success
What is the journey to success?
Success is not gained by defeat
Success does not occur over night
Success can emerge at any age
Success is working to full potential
Success is courage
Success is lending a hand
Success is not listening to negativity
Success is being positive
Success is living your life instead of the life of others
Success is being proud
Success is overcoming obstacles
Success is striving
Success is listening to your heart
Most of all success is accepting
What you have accomplished

When I think success
I see it comes
When i dream success
I see it comes
When i touch success
It fates away
Success success
My hope
I'll find success
Embrace success
When i hold success
I'll keep it save
When I have success
I'll share it
Success success
My world
I'll rule
Yes, I'll influence
Thought, Oh thought

First Year University Expereinces
I learned why it is not wise to skip class often
I learned that skipping homework in university is not the same as skipping homework in high school
I learned what it feels like to be awake for over 2 days
I learned how to smoke pot from a bong
I learned how to compose an essay the day before it's due
I learned that the Freshman 15 is no joke
I learned how to do laundry
I learned to pretend to be happy
I learned to multitask
I learned to be more sociable
I learned why my parents and teachers warned me about the difficulty of university
I learned that failing is expensive
I learned small things, like freshly washed bed sheets, make me happy
I learned to lie
I learned how expensive alcohol is
I learned what it feels like to be a failure
I type this rant while skipping my business ethics class as I further delay the composition of my psychology term paper

One Hundred Ripples
One hundred ripples I mark today
One hundred steps along my way
One hundred steps lead to the pond
One hundred trees there do surround
One hundred birds nesting among the trees
One hundred bees filling the air with these
One hundred bees buzzing about in the air
One hundred flowers are pollinating there
One hundred flowers provide the aromas sweet
For one hundred bouquets given to lovers as treat
One hundred lovers walk the winding pathway
One hundred times to find romance there each day
One hundred times they will reach to explore
One hundred pebbles found along the pond shore
One hundred pebbles carry wishes through the air
One hundred ripples on surface creating there
One hundred ripples then spreading out will begin
One hundred waves soon lapping at the shore again
One hundred waves providing the means for
One hundred more pebbles to reach the shore
One hundred pebbles scatter along the pathway
One hundred steps retraced at the end of the day
One hundred small steps... this latest poem was conceived to denote
One hundred little ripples... spreading from 100 poems I wrote
