I Will Not Paint Those Paintings
I used to see paintings in my mind's eyes
I used to dream scenes amazing paintings
I used to dream paintings in sleep sight
paintings in details I had never seen before
paintings which stopped heart in sight shock
I knew canvases were awkward hard to carry
to travel with poems is only paper and pen
paint your paintings inspiring I write poems
I will not soul carry paint those paintings

Picasso's always been such a huge influence that I thought when I started the cartoon paintings that I was getting away from Picasso, and even my cartoons of Picasso were done almost to rid myself of his influence.

If you want to succeed in the world you must make your own opportunities as you go on. The man who waits for some seventh wave to toss him on dry land will find that the seventh wave is a long time a-coming. You can commit no greater folly than to sit by the road side until someone comes along and invites you to ride with him to wealth or influence.

I will always find even the worst paintings that attempt some kind of representation better than the best invented paintings.
I have no ideas about what the paintings imply about the world. I don't think that's a painter's business. He just paints paintings without a conscious reason.

Stone Cold
(r palmer)
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
She ought to have her own show
Oh stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Stone cold in love with you
Could you be ? or van gough
Youre a work of art, my darlin
You are the one I adore
You choose the role to star in
Youve got the part - Im all yours
My hearts in perpetual motion
When you make love with me
Beats so hard we reach an explosion
Of sensuality
You are poetry - I read your lips
They say just kiss me darling
The way you move - the way you speak
I got to have you cos Im stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Stone cold in love with you
She ought to have her own show
Oh stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Stone cold in love with you
Could you be ? or van gough
You want it all - you got it
You take the cake coz you wrote the recipe
You hit the mark
Spot on it
We make the grade coz we got the chemistry
Surfin high on the waves of emotion
When you make love with me
8 miles high and deep as the ocean
Thats how big love should be
Youre a masterpiece - youre made for me
I just couldnt live without you
Say what you want - say what you need
Ill get it for you cos Im stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Im stone cold in love with you
She ought to have her own show
Well stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Im stone cold in love with you
Could you be ? or van gough
My hearts in perpetual motion
When you make love with me
Beats so hard we reach an explosion
Of sensuality
You are poetry - I read your lips
They say just kiss me darling
The way you move - the way you speak
I got to have you cos Im stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Stone cold in love with you
She ought to have her own show
Babe Im stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Stone cold in love with you
Could you be ? or van gough
Stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Stone cold in love with you
She ought to have her own show
Babe Im stone cold
Hey hey take it from me shes a masterpiece
Stone cold in love with you
Could you be ? or van gough

Love and influence
My love for my son was absolute
As my influence on him was total
When he was a child.
My love for my son was patchy
As my influence on him was partial
When he has become a father.
My love for my son was little
As my influence on him is nil
When I became invalid.
Influence controls love.

My Life as Simulacra
Xerox your paintings,
Deposit them in a screen.
Avoid the decay
Of natural processes—
Disintegration.
Preserve your thoughts in this way:
As a copy of
Expression. If that seems cold,
Burn the real paintings for warmth.

You were told how much space so it was a matter of whether you could send in two paintings or three paintings, you know, pending where the show was being held. You did submit work to be accepted. Once you were accepted that was it. You did your own selection of what went in.

Under The Influence
Written: paul politi and barry white
Floating on a cloud
Feeling high
It happens every time
Whenever Im with my guy
Tripping on love
And it feels so good
I cant help myself
And I wouldnt if I could
'cause hes got that certain touch
That Im addicted to
Loves really got a hold on me
And theres nothing I can do
Oh im, Im under the influence of love
And I know theres no doubt about it
Im under the influence of love
And I know I cant live without it
Moving over close
Cant get enough
Ive just got to have all of my babys love
And when Im alone
Feeling sad and blue
He gives me a shot of love
And Im as good as new
Helpless as I am
As if I dont care
His tenderness is what I miss
Whenever hes not here
Oh im, Im under the influence of love
And I know theres no doubt about it
Im under the influence of love
And I know I cant live without it
There just aint no one else
Who can bring out the love in me
So many guys have tried
They tried to capture my eye
But hes the only one I see
Oh, Im Im under the influence of love
And I know theres no doubt about it
Im under the influence of love
And I know I cant live without it
(repeat to fade)
