If we're going to change the laws, let's change them in ways which makes it easier to catch criminals, and yet at the same time protect the Second Amendment rights of our law-abiding citizens.

They don't have special rights because we have civil rights laws that protect them. The laws work both ways.
It just seems to be a human trait to want to protect the speech of people with whom we agree. For the First Amendment, that is not good enough. So it is really important that we protect First Amendment rights of people no matter what side of the line they are on.

Fear Of Change
set in your ways, no one wants.
the only thing constant is change. change is the one thing we can count on because change is inevitable. fear of change hinders us as a society.
fear of change makes us imoble and unable to accept change. progression is change.
fear change only when you stop changing. whithout change we cannot go forward.
You can have all the gun control laws in the country, but if you don't enforce them, people are going to find a way to protect themselves. We need to recognize that bad people are doing bad things with these weapons. It's not the law-abiding citizens, it's not the person who uses it as a hobby.

Change! Change! Change!
change! change! change!
everybody talkin' about change.
change your look,
change your luck,
change your politics,
change your religion...
change the country,
change the world....
change the day!
change your underwear!
loose change, pocket change,
winds of change, march for change....
but all real change begins within...
let's work on that,
and then everything else
will change in turn!

You Temp Me so
You temp me so to change my ways,
like a leaf true does change color.
But also they do fall away,
so the tree can bloom another.
You temp me so to change my ways,
like a rock the flow of streams.
But without the nourishment of rain,
becomes the driest of all things.
You temp me so to change my ways,
like the circle of the wind.
Never knowing where it starts,
or where its breeze will end.
You temp me so to change my ways,
to your lover from your friend.
These are the hardest words to say,
you temp me so to change my ways.

Change In Scenery
I'll keep my small town girl name
but you can change the trees
change the breeze
I'll keep my big heart
but you can change the roads
change the toads
I'll keep my ice-melting smile
but you can change the distance
change the miles
I'll keep my soft hands
but you can change the grass
change the land
I'll keep what makes me me
but you can change our untogetherness
and change the scenery

Which goes to show you, you can make all the laws you want, but you cannot change people's ways. If you must change them, you have to understand that it will take a long time.

Change in Me
Why I need change?
for better or for the worst?
Any choices to change or not?
I need change when
There is an opportunity to grow and mature
Things being done the wrong way
Dealing with a world of change
I rediscover change
Change is the law of life
Those who look only
to the past or the present
Are certain to miss the future
I may change anything I want or don't want
But I can't change everything I want
My dilemma is
I hate change and
love it at the same time
Best of all
What I want is
For things to remain the same
but get better.
Lastly,
I need strong courage to change,
To master change;
Be the master of change.
Always I want change,
To get where I want to be,
Be the change I want to have.

Sonnet: God’s Love and Scriptures- Will Not Change
The world of men, women and children, change;
Their food-habits and dressing styles may change;
Their ways of talking, walking, laughing, change;
But Bible’s words are true and never change!
Man’s outlook and his sense of values change;
The weather, climate, seasons also change;
The water of rivers and seas may change,
But Scripture’s words are true and never change!
Man’s needs in life and ambitions may change
Man’s occupations, moral values, change
Man’s goals and approaches also may change,
But Holy Scripture’s words will never change.
The devils too, their tempting tactics, change;
God’s love for man is same and will not change.

The Inner Voice - Conscience
Laws on earth can be made, unmade;
Laws can be bettered or worsened by change;
Laws may be just or unjust and never perfect;
Laws can be changed for comfort and convenience.
Laws may change from time to time;
Laws cannot reflect truth always;
Laws depend on the constituent makers;
Laws can never be ideal for all times!
But the inner Voice -the Conscience is static;
It always speaks the truth irrevocably;
It is not transmutable anytime;
It can never lie ever even by chance.
The Inner Voice scores over laws always;
One's conscience always tells what is right;
Freedom of man's conscience is paramount;
Laws to stifle the Inner Voice are simply futile!
Laws are needed but must be just and fair;
Laws aren't needed to fetter the conscience;
Laws are man-made and transmutable;
Conscience is God-given, remaining the same in everyone!
Obey the laws when they are fair and just;
Heed to your Conscience, God's law-maker within!

Laws for weaklings
Criminals are punished
Rather by rivals than laws.
Criminals are let out
Rather by power than laws
Laws are meant for weaklings.

Moonshine
Amidst the hills clandestine stills
are still producing liquid gold.
Utilising ancient skills
passed down from forebears; known of old.
Forded from their homelands unjustly
deprived of all they had by laws
Enforced by English kings decree
The clansmen had no other course.
But emigrate and seek freedom
in distant lands across the sea
Where they hoped to find a welcome.
It seems they did and readily
Resumed the way of life they knew
cherished traditions from the past
They proved they were willing to
adapt to change as the years passed
Becoming model citizens.
Accepting their new ome lands laws.
Retaining some independence
as any Scotsman would of course.
Inherited ability
ensured they’re were able to.
Distil their own kind of whisky.
Something that they will always do.
Though law abiding generally.
They’re adamant the will not pay
the government any duty
on what they make it’s not their way
Rebellion is in their blood
inherited genetically.
They would not change it if they could
They won’t surrender easily
And that is why we hide our stills
in places that are known only to us.
An ongoing battle of wills
between the government and us.

Conservative People
Conservative in their ways and in their thinking they do not embrace change in any way
They fear change as a threat to their existence as conservative through their lives they do stay
They resist change as if change is quite harmful as things were they wish them to remain
Their flawed values of rank and class distinction are things that they do fight hard to retain
Conservative people change not known to welcome on any change they like to have their say
They crave respect for their old ways of thinking whilst respect to those who want change they don't pay
No thanks to them that changes are occuring since they want to keep us tied to the past
They cannot accept that time brings with it changes that nothing as it was does seem to last,
Conservative people always in abundance their type never have been known to be rare
They live in Villages, Towns and in Cities you can meet their kind of person anywhere
To them change is something that should be resisted to the old ways with reverence they do cling
They fear change as much as they do fear the reaper as if indeed change were a dangerous thing
Suppose it takes all kinds to make up humanity and conservative people will always fight change
They look on people who to them are different as those who are untrustworthy and strange.

In the New Year, Let’s Change …
Change is something that must come;
Change is good for everyone.
Change is something that will come;
Change is one we must welcome!
Change is good if one’s better;
Change is better to be best;
Change is nice if life’s better;
Change is the key to all success!
Let’s change our attitudes in life;
Let’s change our outlooks, behavior;
Let’s change if it can help us fare;
Let’s change the way, we see the world!
But change, we must anticipate in life;
We must be ready to take up change;
We ought to change if change we must;
But let us first believe in change!
Let change not remove identity;
Let change not weaken traditions;
Let change not ‘shake the tree by roots! ’
Let change bring effects desired by us.
Let changes come in the New Year;
Let changes make a man better;
Let changes better humanity;
Let changes not undo our gains!
Rein in the changes, advantageous;
Bring in the changes essential;
Take up the changes, we must make;
Let changes bolster life’s purpose!
Let New Year change the heart of man;
Let New Year change the mind and thoughts;
Let New Year change our living styles;
Let New Year change our sinful soul.
Let’s change and change the world around;
Let’s change our inner world and home;
Let’s change the things, we need to change;
Let’s change our lack of trust in God.
The more we change, ’tis good for us;
The less, we change, our life stagnates;
Changes are a part of life;
By changing, culture keeps alive!
No change can question definitions;
No change must threaten foundations;
No change shall endanger our lives;
All changes must remain ‘pro-life’!
Change shouldn’t alienate us from God;
Change should not be unnatural;
Change should not increase vice in man;
Change should not derail our right tracks.
Let change bring change in ways we think;
Let change bring success in all fields;
Let change foster more love for life;
Let change take pride and hatred off!
Let changes be for good of man;
Let changes reduce stress and strife;
Let changes make a virtuous man;
Let changes take us closer to God!
Let changes improve air and soil;
Let changes better lives for all;
Let changes never destroy life;
Let changes make earth paradise.
Let change in world give lasting peace;
Let change in heart, more charity;
Let change in rules afford security;
Let change in mankind, integrity!
Let’s change the world for progeny;
Let’s fine-tune changes children need;
Let change the world and make it safe;
Let’s change the landscape if we must!
Let’s change the laws if need be;
Let’s change the rules for more safety;
Let’s change the ways, we view others;
Let’s change the way, we treat brothers!
Let changes come, if they must come;
Let changes reform society;
Let changes lessen anxiety;
Let changes foster love of life!
Dedicated to American Prez. Barrack Obama
the man who hopes to change most things in the world;
Let’s pray his heart must change to bring just those changes
that God would expect him to change,
and not what the world prefers him to change!

Gun Toters
Does a madness...
Labelled as it is and justified,
Continue to protect the rights of those...
Clearly crazed with ignorance.
And sending signals of racist intent.
With given and granted sentiments,
To do things documented...
As a tradition,
That is becoming more demented!
Gun toters define for themselves,
What is liberty.
By the rights to wound and maim.
And make claims of self-defense,
A government amendment...
They uphold,
And have not gone against.
With a purpose to hunt anything that is deemed,
Game for sport
And other games supported...
To distort,
Reasons to sell...
And cavort if licensed.
An unapproved I.D.
Could get one a weapon...
Over the internet easily.
To market on the street...
In exchange for drugs.
Or something even more devious,
Secret and discreet!
Does a madness...
Labelled as it is and justified,
Continue to protect the rights of those...
Clearly crazed with ignorance.
And sending signals of racist intent.
Be granted sentiments,
To do things documented as being demented?
Some laws followed today,
As rules in dusted books...
Were clearly devised,
At a time when geese would fly...
At shot by Quakers.
Seeking meals to satisfy!
Now reasons to keep guns under pillows,
Mattresses and near to the bed...
Says a lot about insecurities.
And the fear in people's heads.
They get no sleep...
Awaiting a prowler instead!
Gun toters define for themselves,
What is liberty.
By the rights to wound and maim.
And make claims of self-defense,
A government amendment...
They uphold,
And have not gone against.
Only to witness their children die...
From needless accidents!
