It is very important that our young people have constructive early work experiences. But it is equally important that their jobs are safe and complement their education, rather than complete it.

Well, you know, I think in conversations with members of the Senate and others, they all recognize that the issue of immigration is important. It's important to our nation, it's important to our public safety, it's important to our security, it's important to our economic well-being moving forward. And it's not something that's going to go away.

To be important, …
Importance is not goodness.
It is a quality entailing
Attention or recognition.
It’s important to respect;
It’s important to serve;
It’s important not to hurt.
Anyone who is not important
By breed, wealth or rank
Can become important thus.

Light Is More Important Than The Lantern
Light is more important than the lantern,
The poem more important than the notebook,
And the kiss more important than the lips.
My letters to you
Are greater and more important than both of us.
The are the only documents
Where people will discover
Your beauty
And my madness.

Undefined Importance
Who is the most important person,
When is the most important time,
A question that creates a loop on itself,
Quite intriguing, but never concrete,
Like rolling a die
With infinite sides,
It's a different answer
In a year or two
It only has one answer,
And most of us will get it wrong
Because none of us are truely living
The present, the Now, right this moment
Strip us of any labels,
Discard your position,
Stand up straight,
And open your eyes,
Who you are talking to right now,
Each second you are conversing with them
Is the most important thing
Right this moment

The Important People in my Life
There are two important people
In my life
The first important person is
The mother of my children
She is my light on a cloudy day
She is my heart that gives my life
She is my day and night
She is my other half
She is my moon bright and full
So the whole world can see us
Happy and free
The other important person is my son
My son is my littler self
My son is my joy
My son is my air that I breathe
These two people are the most important to me
But pretty soon it will be three

Teacher Man
The Teacher Man teaches kids from all over the world
The Teacher Man teaches no matter boy or girl
The Teacher Man teaches Christans, Musilms, and Jews
The Teacher Man teaches those who say 'God I don't believe in you'
The Teacher Man teaches over demands for more recess
The Teacher Man teaches to only demand the best
The Teacher Man teaches Science, Reading, and Math
The Teacher Man teaches how to live out of class
The Teacher Man teaches all how to share
The Teacher Man teaches that we all should care
The Teacher Man teaches how to keep an open mind
The Teacher Man teaches with a kick in the behind
The Teacher Man teaches there are lessons in life
The Teacher Man teaches how to overcome strife
The Teacher Man teaches there's nothing wrong with a hug
The Teacher Man teaches the world changes with Love
The Teacher Man teaches the rich and the poor
The Teacher Man teaches those who are ready for more
The Teacher Man teaches how to look someone in the eye
The Teacher Man teaches how to accept someone in their cry
The Teacher Man teaches in more than one tounge
The Teacher Man teaches how to make working hard fun
The Teacher Man teaches all the colors of the land
But, most important of all, he teaches we should take a stand
Take a Stand, Take a Stand, for what you believe
Take a Stand, Take a Stand, and you will be free
Take a Stand, Take a Stand, for the least of the least
Take such Stand man, and you will find peace
He's the Teacher Man

Experiment of God's Wish
That we live encouraged,
To acknowledge and grow...
Is important.
That we share what is learned...
And upon others bestow,
What it is we know...
Is important.
That the slate is wiped cleaned,
From that which is demeaning.
And we strive to occupy our minds,
With meaning and beneficial things.
And this to others we present and bring...
Is important while we still exist.
To discover that which affords us all happiness,
Is important.
Since this is why we have been blessed to be here!
And this is the 'experiment' of God's wish!
For you,
And me.
On this planet we have come to call Earth.
This has been important,
From the time we experienced,
That process of birth.

Stand By Me
When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light well see.
No, I wont be afraid,
No, I wont be afraid,
Just as long as you stand, stand by me.
And, darling, darling, stand by me,
Oh, now, now, stand by me,
Stand by me,
Stand by me.
If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall,
And the mountain should crumble to the sea.
I wont cry, I wont cry,
No, I wont shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me.
And, darling, darling, stand by me,
Oh, stand by me,
Stand by me,
Stand by me,
Stand by me-ee, yeah.
Whenever youre in trouble, wont you stand by me?
Oh, now, now, stand by me,
Oh, stand by me,
Stand by me,
Stand by me.
Darling, darling, stand by me,
Please, stand by me,
Oh, stand by me,
Stand by me,
Stand by me.
Me-ee -

Stand By Love
You know my heart beats rhythm and my dreams still take me higher
Ive travelled round the world but they cant cure my desire
The city looks pretty tonight
Hold on now lets go till morning
Get up on love and stand by me
Stand by love, stand by me
Im a shell shocked lover, under cover thats my game
Im your long lost brother, little sister whats your name
I feel so alone
Im stranded and so far from home Im calling
Get up on love and stand by me
Stand by love, and stand by me

Stand by love stand by me
Give me one good reason why you dont come play with fire

Get up on love and stand by me
Stand by love, and stand by me

Get Up, Stand Up
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: dont give up the fight!
Preacherman, dont tell me,
Heaven is under the earth.
I know you dont know
What life is really worth.
Its not all that glitters is gold;
alf the story has never been told:
So now you see the light, eh!
Stand up for your rights. come on!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: dont give up the fight!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: dont give up the fight!
Most people think,
Great God will come from the skies,
Take away everything
And make everybody feel high.
But if you know what life is worth,
You will look for yours on earth:
And now you see the light,
You stand up for your rights. jah!
Get up, stand up! (jah, jah!)
Stand up for your rights! (oh-hoo!)
Get up, stand up! (get up, stand up!)
Dont give up the fight! (life is your right!)
Get up, stand up! (so we cant give up the fight!)
Stand up for your rights! (lord, lord!)
Get up, stand up! (keep on struggling on!)
Dont give up the fight! (yeah!)
We sick an tired of-a your ism-skism game -
Dyin n goin to heaven in-a jesus name, lord.
We know when we understand:
Almighty God is a living man.
You can fool some people sometimes,
But you cant fool all the people all the time.
So now we see the light (what you gonna do? ),
We gonna stand up for our rights! (yeah, yeah, yeah!)
So you better:
Get up, stand up! (in the morning! git it up!)
Stand up for your rights! (stand up for our rights!)
Get up, stand up!
Dont give up the fight! (dont give it up, dont give it up!)
Get up, stand up! (get up, stand up!)
Stand up for your rights! (get up, stand up!)
Get up, stand up! ( ... )
Dont give up the fight! (get up, stand up!)
Get up, stand up! ( ... )
Stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up!
Dont give up the fight! /fadeout/

I Cant Stand It
Its hard being a man
Living in a garbage pail
My landlady called me up, ooohhh
She tried to hit me with a mop
I cant stand it anymore more
I cant stand it anymore more, oh
I cant stand it anymore more
But if candy would just come back
Itd be all right
Yeah, if candy would just come back
It would be all right, come on baby
I live with thirteen dead cats
A purple dog that wears spats
Theyre all out livin in the hall
And I cant stand it anymore
I cant stand it anymore more
I cant stand it anymore more
I cant stand it anymore more
But if candy would just come back
Itd be all right
Ooohhh, if candy would just come back
It would be all right, be all right now
Ah, come on baby
Im tired of living all alone
Yeah, nobody ever calls me on the phone
But when, ah, things start getting bad, ah
I just play my music louder
I cant stand it anymore more
I cant stand it anymore more
I cant stand it anymore more
I cant stand it, I cant stand it, oh
I cant stand it, I cant stand it
I cant stand it, I cant stand it, no
I cant stand it, I cant stand it, oh
I cant stand it, I cant stand it
I cant stand it, I cant stand it
I cant stand it, I cant stand it
I cant stand it, I cant stand it

Don't Stand So Close
don't stand so close
by the police
young teacher, the subject, of school girl fantasy
she wants him, so badly, knows what she wants to be
inside him, there's no room, this girl's an open page
bookmark in, she's so close now, this girl is half his age
don't stand, don't stand so
don't stand so close to me
don't stand, don't stand so
don't stand so close to me
her friends are, so jealous, you know how bad girls get
sometimes it's not so easy, to be the teacher's pet
temptation, frustration, so bad it makes him cry
wet bus stop, she's waiting, his car is warm and dry
don't stand, don't stand so
don't stand so close to me
don't stand, don't stand so
don't stand so close to me
loose talk in, the classroom, to hurt they try and try
strong words in, the staffroom, the accusations fly
it's no use, he sees her, he starts to shake and cough
just like the, old man in, that book by nabakov
don't stand, don't stand so
don't stand so close to me
don't stand, don't stand so
don't stand so close to me
