I Believe So...

does the wind choose to blow?
do rivers choose to run?
does your heart choose to beat?
i believe so...

does the earth choose to turn,
in perfect rhythm, year by year?
do the tides choose to come and go,
in cadence with the moon?
i believe so...

does society choose to be oppressed,
if only by apathy's inaction?
do we choose to let people starve
when we turn the other head?
i believe so...

do we choose war over peace,
to feed the need of greed?
do we choose to destroy nature
by our very lifestyles?
i believe so....

but can we change destiny,
and avert the final blow?
can we open our minds and hearts,
and reclaim life for the living?
i believe so...

Life Alone

How does one justify a life lived alone
How does one love if they have never been shown
A life lived alone is a life lived in vain
A life lived alone has very little to gain
Why would anyone choose to live this way
Why would anyone choose to be alone everyday
Is it living alone a shy reality to blame
Is it living alone yet another of societys shame
I stand here alone with a tear in my eye
I stand here alone and wish to understand why.
'closing thought'
A singles life can have its moments of pleasure
But a family life is filled with memories to treasure

Choose

I choose focus
I choose freedom
to be happy, to have fun
to have a wonderful life
to be young, light and bright
I choose health, wealth
lands, treasures
I choose to trust, love
commitment, faith,
I choose to enjoy life
I choose the lord
I choose...

Choices

One should feel lucky
If one gets choices in the life
It can make one happy
Throughout the life
Choice in love
Friends and relations
Work, career, city and country
Is the dream of every living soul?
Living the life with choice
If one doesn’t get things of choice
One should be contented
With what he gets
Too many cooks spoil the dish
Too many choices
Makes it difficult to choose
One is lucky
If one gets chance to choose
If one’s got a life there is no choice
One has to live the way it comes
Throughout the life
Keep on trying,
For better choices

People Choose To Die

People choose to die
He smokes even though he knows each smoke he takes kills him
People choose to die
She stays with him even though he beats her every night
People choose to die
He continues to be a prostitute even though he's been living with HIV for the last 3 years.
People choose to die
She drinks and drives even though she's been in 15 drunk driving accidents. Even hit a little girl.
People choose to die.
Thats what we fail to realize.

Sonnet: Choose The Things in Your Life

0 choose your friend who must be good as you;
And choose your spouse better than you; make sure;
And choose the one best as your Teacher too;
And choose ambitions that suit your nature.

0 choose the profession thats truly best;
And choose the hobbies that ne'er interfere;
And choose your Time to begin work, take rest;
And choose your enemies, you surely fear.

0 choose your food that gives extended health;
And choose your garments -comfortable wear;
And choose the honest way to added wealth;
And choose the burden right, body can bear.

0 choose the people who deserve help most;
And choose good principles, yet never boast.

Life is a short journey.

Life is a short journey
It may be bitter
It may be honey
Life is a short journey
Choose your way
Choose your mate
You won't be early
You won't be late
Our ways may differ
But our end is there
Go by car or by train
Go on foot or by plane
Go on horseback or by rocket
Go by bike or by boat
Life is a short journey
All of us will be on time
All of us will be the same
All of us will have a luggage
Choose what to leave
Choose what to take
Choose what to build
Choose what to break
Life is a short journey
Whether you like it
Or you don't
You try to change it
But you can't
Life is a short journey.

Choose To Fly

Choose to fly!
Choose to soar...
Above the clouds,
And touch the sky.
Choose to spread your wings.
And with praises choose to sing...
To end limitations.
And what to you those limits bring.
Choose to fly.
Energize with the Sun.
Have fun.
Begin what is wished.
Do not undo that which has begun.
Choose to fly.
Look up.
Around and down!
Can accustomed conflict mixed with confusion...
Be heard from anyone?
Can it be found?
As you lift your disconnectedness,
Higher off the ground?
Can you feel a peace?
As you release...
From tensions that decrease.
Choose to fly.
Let go of that madness...
Grabbing to entrap.
To have you slapped with unhappiness.
Choose to fly.
Declare your fresh air...
Is absent of dispair.
And all boundaries have cleared for your arrival.
Choose to fly!
Choose to soar...
Above the clouds,
And touch the sky.
Let go...
And take hold of the atmosphere there.
Choose to fly.
Choose to soar.
Choose to live the life you adore,
Even more!
Choose to fly.
And break free to live your dreams.

Be Happy

If you choose to live your life,
This way, that way, any other way,
Make sure you live your life happily,
Enjoy living this life every second, daily,
Have fun that you choose the best,
Have friends to accompany to last,
Have the satisfaction in your heart,
Have faith in you always, not least,
But when thinking of whatever done today,
Should not bring tears in your eyes,
Whatever you do today,
Should not hurt you tomorrow,
Let whatever you do today,
be the extension of yesterday's happiness,
and the foundation for tomorrow's,
Happy memory.

We Live In The World We Build

You can choose from the crops of unhappiness…
or you can unearth the joy from your heart.

You can choose to draw from your dark stormy life…
or believe that only rainbow's beauty follows rain.

You can choose to pollute the air you breathe…
or do no harm to the environs of human or all life form.

You can choose to produce foods by man’s means …
or allow it to be produced by nature’s teams.

You can choose to live in jealousy and hate or
live with love and you won’t have none of the above.

You can choose to make war
or you can make love instead...

You can choose to pluck the thorns…
or pick red, yellow, and pink roses, instead.

You deserve your world that
built brick by brick.

No Greater Loyalty

This will be our family secret don't tell others how he died
Never mention how my darling son took his own life in suicide
Don't want them saying he opted out of life they would never understand
How our beloved teenager he died at his own hand.

Don't tell anyone we found him hanging from the low branch of a tree
Tell them 'twas of a heart attack that he died suddenly
We do not need their judgements my son must rest in peace
It was of his own choosing that from life he choose release.

Of the darkness that surrounded him we never were to know
The mother she has shed her tears for her son who died six months ago
For to save him from the judgements of the living for her dead son she will lie
She will never admit that he was one who choose his own way to die.

No greater loyalty than the loyalty of a mother when all is said and done
From the judgements of the living she lies to protect her dead son
She takes flowers twice a week to place on the grave where he does lay
And she will grieve for her deceased son till her own dying day.

Life roads

We all have different life roads,

we all think which one to choose,

some choose their road and crawl it,

they have no wish to fly.thinking it's a wit.

It's hard for them to learn the truth of life,

such people go with the tide

and fear like a hare living in a form with fright;

their feelings and soul are hidden,

they are always afraid to be bitten;

they take life as a boring groove,

it's so difficult for them to move.

Some people think that happiness -

living in a golden cage.

They speak with rage about freedom;

the golden cage is their stage.

In relation to some of those who get freedom:

they fuss, they dash about,

don't know what to do with it

and their life also becomes a rut,

they step on their own foot.

May be Shakespeare's famous words were true

'Life is a stage, and we are all actors'.

We all have entrances and our exits,

we take them as facts and persist.

But I would like to sing a song for those

who were not afraid to fall

but did everything in their power,

strained themselves in the utmost.

They had enough courage and strength

to get up and go on up the hill,

having their greatest will

they can surely pay for their life bill.

The science of life is so complicated

and only by God it can be rated.

But the roads of life are all self created.

forced to choose between honesty and dispair,
forced to choose between beauty and destruction,
forced to choose between life and death,

His Way, My Way

I Have My way to do things
God gives us His Way.

We have a choice now
To choose wisely

If God will make His Way
Where there seems
To be No Other way.

He Works
In A Way
Where We cannot see or hear.

He will make
A way for us to follow
And to believe in His faith.

If we choose wrongly
We bear all consequences
We accept the punishments
Given by God.

So my friends, we
Must choose wisely the way
Of faithful living
And
Trusting in God.

One day by His Way,
We shall see
And meet our God.

We Choose

We could choose to end all starving,
We could end all prejudice,
We could choose to end all war,
We did this all before,
We could end all pollution,
We could choose to end poverty and strife,
We did this all before, we had a holy life.
We deny our God Selves every day,
We need Saints to worship and say it’s O.K.
We choose to keep our institutions,
that have a stake in all this,
to keep illness going and keep us from bliss.
Now, read the book “Conversations with God”
One, Two and Three,
Then if you are ready you will listen and finally see.
What We could do things differently, if We so choose,
We should make changes now, we have no time to lose.

Life’s Masquerade

Some say life’s one big parade, with many lost in a masquerade,
Living their present life trying to be, someone others want to see,
Many hiding the real person inside, behind a veil of human pride,
Maybe, they are living one big lie, never knowing the reason why.

Some people choose to just exist, living their life in a virtual mist,
Following others they don’t know, who live life like one big show,
Simply following that big crowd, usually lead by one, who’s loud,
As being loud, they do their part, influencing the misguided heart.

Many in a circus like atmosphere, know not even why they’re here,
In this life, grabbing all they can, living their life just as fallen men.
Never looking beyond this earth, for life’s meaning or life’s worth,
Duped by a master of disguise; saying worldliness is rather wise.

Men caught up in a masquerade, are in slavery to men depraved,
Masquerading about in the night, avoiding any hint of God’s light,
They’re lost, as they compromise, the only Truth to make us wise,
Men thinking that they can hide, from a Holy God, if He is denied.

They’ll continue in a masquerade, until their soul by God is saved,
To free men from all Satan’s lies, and do away with their disguise,
Giving men spiritual eyes to see, we’re here to prepare for eternity,
All to be who we are in this life, through the power of Jesus Christ.

My Life, My Colors

Elders hear me loud and clear
I have my rites, you hear
Many paths created
For me to choose from
I will decide which one
Liberated before conception
I am not weak, I have a voice

With all due respect wise Elders
I nearly let you waste, my life and his
Created with love
I have the rite, to love and be loved
To you dear elders
My path may seem grey
Only I will colour it
With colours I choose for my life

In short...
I choose to be who I am
I choose which risks I will take
I choose the colours to pave my path
My life is all about the liberated choices I will make
