I'm trying to let winning the world championships settle in right now before I begin training again shortly. During the skating season, we skate on average 20 kilometres a day. On top of that, we're riding a lot and lifting a lot of weights.

I skate about 15 to 20 hours a week and also incorporate a lot of off-ice training. I take ballet and Pilates classes and lift weights with my physical therapist when I'm not on the ice.

Average Guy
I aint no christian or no born again saint
I aint no cowboy or marxist d.a.
I aint no criminal or reverend cripple from the right
I am just your average guy, trying to do whats right
Im just your average guy
An average guy
I am just your average guy
Im just an average guy
Average guy, Im just your average guy
Im average looking and Im average inside
Im an average lover and I live in an average place
You wouldnt know me if you met me face to face
Im just your average guy
Average guy
Average guy
Im just an average guy
I worry about money and taxes and such
I worry that my livers big and it hurts to the touch
I worry about my health and bowels
And the crime waves in the street
Im really just your average guy
Trying to stand on his own two feet
Im just your average guy
Im just your average guy
Im just your average guy
Average guy
Average looks, average taste
Average height, an average waist
Average in everything I do
My temperature is 98.2

An average guy

Settle Down My Boy
Settle down, an eat your peas and gravy, my boy
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Stop wasting all your time with running around the town
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Knuckle down and find a job and take some responsibility
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
The futures something you should be thinking about
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Look around for a wife to start a family, my boy
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Listen toy our father and hell tell you the same as me
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Your words would go in one ear and out the other side
Dont say my head was empty and I had things to hide
And you better put something away for your old age
So settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down uh huh huh

To be the best, you need to spend hours and hours and hours running, hitting the speed bag, lifting weights and focusing on training.

Hard Goals
Goals shake to progress and concisely
Play the reality of sport and soccer;
Yes, the goal of our life is the aim,
And the aim hates us when hard.
Hardness strengthens, lifting weights
To guide the sportsman, and all his muscle
Into lifting more weights and really working.
These aims of mine work longer
Than usual, to state us is exact.
These aims jog the memory to be exact
Afterwards and before.

I think what every skater dreams of is not only skating the best program they can possibly skate, but, y'know, having the crowd roar at the end, and it was just so loud I couldn't even hear my music.

Actually, the Kentucky moment was better than winning the two National Championships, because it was the epitome of what I try to get from a team in a crisis situation.

The Sin Of The Land
Loathing is a sin in the land,
Some carry weights and hands
To lift them, lifting is action.
Slavery may succumb to disorder,
A right to life that dies.
Loathe those in agony and corruption,
Tyranny shall collapse from heat
Burning from the stars, the slavery.
May banging happen in empty air,
To relieve the silence of eternity.
Slaves are eternally in disagreement,
From air we all breathe and lift weights.

You increase muscle bulk by training against resistance. For example, weights. And in ballet, this isn't the case.

I've always said when I broke in I was an average player. I had an average arm, average speed and definitely an average bat. I am still average in all of those.

We all laughed. It was more like that whole thing that I was talking about earlier. You go to training camp and after the season is over, you might not see the guys for six months until you go back to training camp.

Come Skating
They said come skating;
They said it's so nice.
They said come skating;
I'd done it twice.
They said come skating;
It sounded nice….
I wore roller-
They meant ice.

Settle Down
Album: Eternal (2001)
[Chorus]
Do you think you're ready
To settle down, settle down babe
Do you think you're ready
To settle down with me babe
Do you think you're ready
To settle down, settle down with me babe
Settle down with me, babe
Settle down
Would you like a house on the hill
Overlooking the ocean side
Tell me, would you like that baby
Or how about a high-rise apartment
In Manhattan on the east side
If that's what you need
I'm here to please
Won't you settle down with me, baby
[Chorus]
We could take a jet plane all the way to Spain
Just to buy you a wedding ring
Tell me, would you like that baby
Oh, talk to me girl
We could get married on Christmas day
On the shores of Montego Bay
If that's what you need
I'm here to please
Won't you settle down with me
If you're ready
Only if you're ready
To settle down, settle down babe
Tell me if you're ready, ready yeah
To settle down with me babe
Do you think you're ready
To settle down, settle down with me babe
Settle down, settle down
Settle down
I'm not trying to buy your love
Money ain't in it
You can't put a rpice on love
Tell me if I'm worthy of
Worthy of you're hand
Girl let's start making plans
You're shining like a star above
You're the light of my life
Oh girl, be my wife
Settle down baby
Oh but first
Do you think you're ready
To settle down, settle down babe
I wanna know if you're ready, tell me baby
To settle down with me babe
Do you think you're ready
To settle down, settle down with me babe
Settle down babe
Settle down
Ooh
oh, whoa
Oooh
No no no no no no no
Yeah yes
Oh settle down babe
Settle down
You tell me when you're ready
(I'm ready, I'm ready)
Do you think you're ready
(I, yes I am baby)
Please tell me
(You already know)
When you're ready
(Yes I'm ready)
Then We can settle down
(Settle down babe)
Settle down
(I'm ready)
I wanna know if you're ready
Oh wee, oh it feels like you're ready babe
I can tell if you're ready
We need to settle down babe
Settle down

Activities Day with Kim
List of activities for me and Kim to do,
We have it planned out with and sealed with glue.
I sleep at Kim's house and then we ride bikes,
riding down to McDonald's which we like,
to eat our scrambled eggs and toast with butter,
we are off to the tennis courts to run a flutter.
Then we go swimming at the high school,
we swim around in a large swimming pool.
Reading at library is our next place,
we read away before we our off to skate.
Yes, we go ice skating in the rink of ice,
Kim skates the best she takes lessons more than twice,
twice a week, now we are off again to a pond that's nice,
To capture butterflies, not little mice.
Then back to the mall to have an ice-cream cone
We are hot we need to cool our bones.
Then to a movie we try to fit that activity in,
It is fun I have to admit.
of course there's supper at McDonalds again.
That is my Activity's Day with my best friend Kim.

River
It's coming on Christmas
They're cutting down trees
They're putting up reindeer
And signing songs of joy and peace
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
But it don't snow here
It stays pretty green
I'm going to make a lot of money
Then I'm going to quit this crazy scene
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I made my baby cry
Well she tried hard to help me
You know, she put me at ease
And she loved me so naughty
Made me weak in the knees
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I'm so hard to handle
I'm selfish and I'm sad
Now I've gone and lost the best baby
That I ever had
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I made my baby say goodbye
Well It's coming on Christmas
They're cutting down trees
They're putting up reindeer
Singing songs of joy and peace
God I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
