I may now, I suppose, say it without offence: I think that the distrust of the new studies, at all events of the study of Modern History, was owing quite as much to the management of their advocates as to the conservative habits of the opponents.

What I found was when I started my first study, and then in subsequent studies, is here you have people under some kind of duress, or I chose to study them because they represented some kind of historical event, as it impacted on them or as they helped to create it.

Scientific way of canal digging
The governments should adopt scientific way
Of canal digging with an eye to
Solve flood problem, mitigate irrigation crisis
And open up new avenue of fishery.
At first the area where flood water overflow
From the rivers should be pointed out
And nearby barren lands should be identified
Then maps of the required canals can be drawn.
Subsequently the canals should be dug up
From the last points of maps
Which will end at near the mouth of the canals
Then with the aim of joining the canals
With the rivers dynamite should be blasted off.
The government will compensate the people
Whose lands will be acquired for the project.
In this way
The government will be able to give its people
A great relief and satisfaction.

In a ship the Generals of three nations were traveling with their soldiers. They started the topic that whose soldier had more of guts.
The American general called for one of his men and told him to jump down the ship and take a round swimming around the moving ship. The soldier did as he was commanded and the general boasted of by saying 'See the guts! '
Now the German general called out for one of his men and asked him to take two similar rounds. The soldier did as he was told.
When he came back from the water the German said, 'See the guts.'
Now the Indian General called out for his most courageous man, Santa and asked him to take five similar rounds.

Peace Proposal
Said General Clay to General Gore really must we fight this silly war
To kill and die in such a bore I quite agree said General Gore
Said General Gore to General Clay we could go to the beach today
And have some icecream on the way a grand idea said General Clay
Said General Clay to General Gore we'll build sand castles on the shore
Said General Gore we'll splash and play let's leave right now said General Clay
Said General Gore to General Clay but what if the sea's closed today
And what if the sand's been blown away the dreadful thought said General Clay
Said General Gore to General Clay I've always feared the ocean's spray
And we may drown it's true we may it chills my blood said General Clay
Said General Clay to General Gore my bathin' suit is slightly tore
We better go on with our war I quite agree said General Gore
The General Clay chanrged General Gore as bullets flew and cannons roared
And now at last there is no more of General Clay or General Gore

The Generals
Said General Clay to General Gore,
'Oh must we fight this silly war?
To kill and die is such a bore.'
'I quite agree,' said General Gore.
Said General Gore to General Clay,
'We could go to the beach today
And have some ice cream on the way.'
'A grand idea,' said General Clay.
Said General Gore to General Clay,
'But what if the sea is closed today?
And what if the sand's been blown away?'
'A dreadful thought,' said General Clay.
Said General Gore to General Clay,
'I've always feared the ocean's spray,
And we may drown!' 'It's true, we may.
It chills my blood,' said General Clay.
Said General Clay to General Gore,
'My bathing suit is slightly tore.
We'd better go on with our war.'
'I quite agree,' said General Gore.
Then General Clay charged General Gore
As bullets flew and cannons roared.
And now, alas! there is no more
Of General Clay or General Gore.

Slow poison
You are killing us with slow poison
We are helpless and find no actual reason
Why have you become such greedy persons?
Is it not the playing with fire and can be called treason?
Think about it and visualize the future scene
You may face worst kind of hostility ever seen
You will be forced to run in street with bare feet
People with throw shoes, stones and sleepers to greet
What has happened to you as (V.I.P) privileged people?
Why don't you think of common people and create trouble?
We are dying daily to meet the square meal for two times
You are wasting it on parties and throw it to dogs sometimes
We are still tolerant to pardon you for silly acts
But think when we may run out of patience and react
You will be wiped out from the face of earth
You will catch our feet for escaping the death
Millions of rupees you have been taken out of country
Yet there are no regret lines on your face and feel sorry
You are shameless creature on beautiful mother earth
Not even dogs may prefer to visit and forget about laying the wreath
You are sitting in sacred temple to protect us
But as of now you have lost your credibility and trust
You have no time for helpless and poor
Not a one percent of help reaches to their door
You have amassed billions of rupees
Assets remain unaccounted and no one can see
But people know you were beggar before joining politics
People are amazed to see your luxurious style and statistics
Your children study in foreign countries
Here we have no rooms to study and lack basic amenities
Not a meal to eat and no means to carry on studies
Can you suggest now any possible remedy?
You may die as mentally ill, patient and hungry
Leave behind countless jewelry and money
Not a single portion may come to you for any use
You shall die as dejected person so now choose
